¶ These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun,

2 D an, José, Benjamín, Neftalí, Gad y Aser. Descendientes de Judá

Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

3 L os hijos de Judá fueron Er, Onán y Sela. Estos tres hijos los tuvo con la hija de Súa, su mujer cananea. Como Er, que era el primogénito de Judá, fue malo delante del Señor, el Señor le quitó la vida.

The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua, the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD, and he slew him.

4 T amar, su nuera, dio a luz a Fares y a Zeraj, así que todos los hijos de Judá fueron cinco.

And Tamar, his daughter-in-law, gave birth unto him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

5 L os hijos de Fares fueron Jesrón y Jamul.

The sons of Pharez: Hezron and Hamul.

6 L os hijos de Zeraj fueron cinco en total: Zimri, Etán, Hemán, Calcol y Dara.

And the sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara, five of them in all.

7 E l hijo de Carmi fue Acán, que fue quien perturbó a Israel, pues pecó en lo que debía ser destruido.

And the sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the anathema.

8 A zarías fue hijo de Etán.

Azariah was the son of Ethan.

9 L os hijos de Jesrón fueron Yeramel, Ram y Quelubay.

The sons that were born unto Hezron: Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai.

10 R am fue el padre de Aminadab, y Aminadab fue el padre de Nasón, príncipe de los hijos de Judá.

And Ram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the sons of Judah;

11 N asón fue el padre de Salmón, y Salmón fue el padre de Booz.

And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,

12 B ooz fue el padre de Obed, y Obed fue el padre de Yesé.

And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,

13 Y esé fue el padre de Eliab, que fue su primogénito; de Abinadab, que fue su segundo hijo; de Simea, que fue el tercero;

And Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second and Shimma the third,

14 d e Natanael, que fue el cuarto; de Raday, que fue el quinto;

Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

15 d e Osén, que fue el sexto; y de David, que fue el séptimo.

Ozem the sixth, David the seventh,

16 S eruyá y Abigaíl fueron sus hermanas. Seruyá tuvo tres hijos: Abisay, Joab y Asael.

whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah were three: Abishai, Joab, and Asahel.

17 A bigaíl dio a luz a Amasa, cuyo padre fue Jéter el ismaelita.

And Abigail gave birth to Amasa, whose father was Jether the Ishmeelite.

18 C aleb hijo de Jesrón tuvo una hija con su mujer Azuba, llamada Jeriot. Los hijos de ésta fueron Jeser, Sobab y Ardón.

¶ And Caleb, the son of Hezron, begat Jerioth of Azubah, his wife. And her sons were Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.

19 A la muerte de Azuba, Caleb tomó por mujer a Efrata, la cual dio a luz a Jur.

And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took Ephrath as wife, who gave birth to Hur unto him.

20 J ur fue el padre de Uri, y Uri fue el padre de Besalel.

And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.

21 C uando Jesrón tenía ya sesenta años, se allegó a la hija de Maquir, el padre de Galaad, y ella dio a luz a Segub.

And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir, the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old, and she gave birth to Segub unto him.

22 S egub fue el padre de Yaír, el cual tuvo veintitrés ciudades en la tierra de Galaad.

And Segub begat Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.

23 P ero Gesur y Aram les arrebataron las ciudades de Yaír, con Kenat y sus aldeas, en total, sesenta lugares. Todos ellos fueron descendientes de Maquir, el padre de Galaad.

And Geshur and Aram took the cities of Jair from them, with Kenath and its towns, even sixty cities. All these were of the sons of Machir, the father of Gilead.

24 A la muerte de Jesrón en Caleb de Efrata, Abías, que había sido mujer de Jesrón, dio a luz a Asjur, el padre de Tecoa.

And after Hezron was dead in Calebephratah, then Abiah, Hezron’s wife, gave birth to Ashur unto him, the father of Tekoa.

25 L os hijos de Yeramel, el primogénito de Jesrón, fueron Ram, su primogénito; Buna, Orén, Osén y Ajías.

And the sons of Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron, were Ram, the firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah.

26 Y eramel tuvo otra mujer, la cual se llamaba Atara, y que fue madre de Onam.

Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

27 L os hijos de Ram, el primogénito de Yeramel, fueron Magás, Jamín y Equer.

And the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.

28 L os hijos de Onam fueron Samay y Yadá. Los hijos de Samay fueron Nadab y Abisur.

And the sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai, Nadab, and Abishur.

29 L a mujer de Abisur se llamaba Abijaíl, la cual dio a luz a Ajbán y a Molid.

And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she gave birth to Ahban and Molid unto him.

30 L os hijos de Nadab fueron Seled y Apayin. Seled murió sin hijos.

And the sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim. But Seled died without children.

31 I sguí fue hijo de Apayin, Sesán fue hijo de Isguí, y Ajlay fue hijo de Sesán.

And Ishi was the son of Appaim. And Sheshan, the son of Ishi; and the son of Sheshan, Ahlai.

32 L os hijos de Yadá, el hermano de Samay, fueron Jéter y Jonatán. Jéter murió sin hijos.

And the sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai: Jether and Jonathan; and Jether died without children.

33 L os hijos de Jonatán fueron Pelet y Zaza. Éstos fueron los descendientes de Yeramel.

And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

34 S esán no tuvo hijos, sino hijas, pero tenía un siervo egipcio llamado Yarjá,

Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a slave, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.

35 y a éste le dio su hija por mujer. Ella dio a luz a Atay,

And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha, his slave, to wife; and she bore him Attai.

36 q ue fue el padre de Natán, y Natán fue el padre de Zabad;

And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,

37 Z abad fue el padre de Eflal, y Eflal fue el padre de Obed;

and Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,

38 O bed fue el padre de Jehú, y Jehú fue el padre de Azarías;

and Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,

39 A zarías fue el padre de Heles, y Heles fue el padre de Elasa;

and Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,

40 E lasa fue el padre de Sismay, y Sismay fue el padre de Salún;

and Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum,

41 S alún fue el padre de Jecamías, y Jecamías fue el padre de Elisama.

and Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.

42 L os hijos de Caleb, el hermano de Yeramel, fueron Mesa, su primogénito, que fue el padre de Zif; y los hijos de Maresa, el padre de Hebrón.

Now the sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, were Mesha, his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and of his other sons, Mareshah, the father of Hebron.

43 L os hijos de Hebrón fueron Coré, Tapuaj, Requén y Semá.

And the sons of Hebron: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema.

44 S emá fue el padre de Raján, el padre de Jorcoán, y Requén fue el padre de Samay.

And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam; and Rekem begat Shammai.

45 M aón fue hijo de Samay y padre de Betsur.

And the son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Bethzur.

46 E fa, la concubina de Caleb, dio a luz a Harán, Mosá y Gazez. Jarán fue el padre de Gazez.

And Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, gave birth to Haran, Moza, and Gazez unto him, and Haran begat Gazez.

47 L os hijos de Yaday fueron Reguén, Yotán, Gesam, Pelet, Efa y Sagaf.

And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.

48 M acá, la concubina de Caleb, dio a luz a Seber y a Tirjaná.

Maachah, Caleb’s concubine, gave birth to Sheber and Tirhanah unto him.

49 T ambién dio a luz a Sagaf, el padre de Madmana, y a Sevá, el padre de Macbena y de Gibea. Acsa fue hija de Caleb.

She also gave birth to Shaaph, the father of Madmannah, Sheva, the father of Machbenah and father of Gibea. And Achsah was the daughter of Caleb.

50 É stos fueron los hijos de Caleb. Los hijos de Jur, el primogénito de Efrata, fueron Sobal, el padre de Quiriat Yearín;

These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah: Shobal, the father of Kirjathjearim,

51 S almá, el padre de Belén; y Jaref, el padre de Bet Gader.

Salma, the father of Bethlehem, Hareph, the father of Bethgader.

52 L os hijos de Sobal, el padre de Quiriat Yearín, fueron Haroe, la mitad de los menajatitas.

And the sons of Shobal, the father of Kirjathjearim, who was lord of half of Manaheth.

53 L as familias de Quiriat Yearín fueron los itritas, los futitas, los sumatitas y los misraítas, de los cuales salieron los soratitas y los estaolitas.

And the families of Kirjathjearim: the Ithrites and the Puhites and the Shumathites and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites and the Eshtaulites.

54 L os hijos de Salmá fueron Belén, los netofatitas, Aterot Bet Joab, la mitad de los menajatitas, y los soreítas.

The sons of Salma: Bethlehem and the Netophathites, the crowns of the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.

55 L as familias de los escribas que vivían en Jabés fueron los tirateos, los simeateos y los sucateos, que son los quenitas que descienden de Jamat, el padre de la casa de Recab.

And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
