1 L evanté la mirada una vez más, y vi un rollo que volaba.

¶ Then I turned and lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold a flying roll.

2 E l ángel me preguntó: «¿Qué es lo que ves?» Y le respondí: «Veo un rollo que vuela, de veinte codos de largo y diez codos de ancho.»

And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.

3 E ntonces el ángel me dijo: «Ésta es la maldición que caerá sobre toda la faz de la tierra. Todo el que hurta será destruido (como está escrito de un lado del rollo); y todo aquel que jura falsamente también será destruido (como está escrito del otro lado del rollo).

Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth; for every one that steals (as it is written on one side of the roll) shall be destroyed; and every one that swears (as it is written on the other side of the roll) shall be destroyed.

4 Y o he dejado caer esta maldición sobre la casa del ladrón, y sobre la casa del que en mi nombre jura falsamente; y en medio de su casa permanecerá, hasta consumirla con sus maderas y sus piedras.» —Palabra del Señor de los ejércitos. La mujer dentro de la medida

I brought it forth, said the LORD of the hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief and into the house of him that swears falsely by my name; and it shall remain in the midst of his house and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.

5 L uego el ángel que hablaba conmigo salió y me dijo: «Levanta la vista ahora, y fíjate en lo que está saliendo.»

¶ Then the angel that talked with me went forth and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes and see what is this that goes forth.

6 Y o dije: «¿Qué cosa es?» Y él me dijo: «Esto que sale es una medida.» Y añadió: «Esta medida representa la iniquidad de ellos en toda la tierra.»

And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah to measure wheat that goes forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance in all the earth.

7 E ntonces se levantó la tapa de plomo, y dentro de la medida estaba sentada una mujer.

And, behold, they lifted up a talent of lead, and a woman was sitting in the midst of that ephah.

8 E l ángel dijo: «Ésta es la Maldad.» Y dicho esto, arrojó a la mujer dentro de la medida, y enseguida cubrió ésta con la tapa de plomo.

And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast her into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.

9 L evanté luego la mirada, y vi que dos mujeres salían, agitando el aire con sus alas, las cuales eran como de cigüeña. La mujeres levantaron la medida entre la tierra y los cielos.

Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.

10 Y o le dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo: «¿A dónde llevan la medida?»

Then I said to the angel that talked with me, Where do these bear the ephah?

11 Y él me respondió: «La llevan a Babilonia, donde le edificarán un templo. En cuanto lo edifiquen, pondrán la medida sobre una base.»

And he said unto me, To build it a house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.
