1 A lcé de nuevo mis ojos y miré un rollo que volaba.

¶ Then I turned and lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold a flying roll.

2 Y el ángel me dijo: “¿Qué ves?” Y respondí: “Veo un rollo que vuela; su longitud es de 20 codos (9 m) y su anchura de 10 codos (4. 5 m).”

And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.

3 E ntonces me dijo: “Esta es la maldición que sale sobre la superficie de toda la tierra. Ciertamente todo el que roba será destruido según lo escrito en un lado, y todo el que jura será destruido según lo escrito en el otro lado.

Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth; for every one that steals (as it is written on one side of the roll) shall be destroyed; and every one that swears (as it is written on the other side of the roll) shall be destroyed.

4 “ La haré salir,” declara el Señor de los ejércitos,“y entrará en casa del ladrón y en casa del que jura por Mi nombre en falso; y pasará la noche dentro de su casa y la consumirá junto con sus maderas y sus piedras.”

I brought it forth, said the LORD of the hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief and into the house of him that swears falsely by my name; and it shall remain in the midst of his house and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.

5 E ntonces el ángel que hablaba conmigo, salió y me dijo: “Alza ahora tus ojos y mira qué es esto que sale.”

¶ Then the angel that talked with me went forth and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes and see what is this that goes forth.

6 Y pregunté: “¿Qué es?” “Esto es el efa (una cesta de 22 litros) que sale,” dijo él. Y añadió: “Esta es la iniquidad de ellos en toda la tierra.”

And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah to measure wheat that goes forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance in all the earth.

7 E ntonces una tapa de plomo fue levantada, y había una mujer sentada dentro del efa (de la cesta).

And, behold, they lifted up a talent of lead, and a woman was sitting in the midst of that ephah.

8 E ntonces dijo: “Esta es la Maldad.” Y la arrojó al interior del efa (de la cesta) y arrojó la tapa de plomo sobre su abertura.

And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast her into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.

9 L uego alcé los ojos y miré dos mujeres que salían con el viento en sus alas. Tenían alas como alas de cigüeña, y alzaron el efa (la cesta) entre la tierra y el cielo.

Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.

10 D ije entonces al ángel que hablaba conmigo: “¿Adónde llevan el efa (la cesta)?”

Then I said to the angel that talked with me, Where do these bear the ephah?

11 Y él me respondió: “A la tierra de Sinar para edificarle un templo; y cuando esté preparado, será asentado allí sobre su base.”

And he said unto me, To build it a house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.
