3 D ie Kinder Juda's sind: Ger, Onan, Sela. Die drei wurden ihm geboren von der Kanaanitin, der Tochter Suas. Ger aber, der erste Sohn Juda's, war böse vor dem HERRN; darum tötete er ihn.

The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua, the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD, and he slew him.

4 T hamar aber, seine Schwiegertochter, gebar ihm Perez und Serah, daß aller Kinder Juda's waren fünf.

And Tamar, his daughter-in-law, gave birth unto him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

5 D ie Kinder des Perez sind: Hezron und Hamul.

The sons of Pharez: Hezron and Hamul.

6 D ie Kinder aber Serahs sind: Simri, Ethan, Heman, Chalkol, Dara. Diese alle sind fünf.

And the sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara, five of them in all.

7 D ie Kinder Charmis sind Achan, welcher Israel betrübte, da er sich am Verbannten vergriff.

And the sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the anathema.

8 D ie Kinder Ethans sind: Asarja.

Azariah was the son of Ethan.

9 D ie Kinder aber Hezrons, die ihm geboren, sind: Jerahmeel, Ram, Chalubai.

The sons that were born unto Hezron: Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai.

10 R am aber zeugte Amminadab. Amminadab zeugte Nahesson, den Fürsten der Kinder Juda.

And Ram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the sons of Judah;

11 N ahesson zeugte Salma. Salma zeugte Boas.

And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,

12 B oas zeugte Obed. Obed zeugte Isai.

And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,

13 I sai zeugte seinen ersten Sohn Eliab; Abinadab, den zweiten; Simea, den dritten;

And Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second and Shimma the third,

14 N athanel, den vierten; Raddai, den fünften;

Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

18 K aleb, der Sohn Hezrons, zeugte mit Asuba, seiner Frau, und mit Jerigoth; und dies sind derselben Kinder: Jeser, Sobab und Ardon.

¶ And Caleb, the son of Hezron, begat Jerioth of Azubah, his wife. And her sons were Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.

19 D a aber Asuba starb, nahm Kaleb Ephrath; die gebar ihm Hur.

And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took Ephrath as wife, who gave birth to Hur unto him.

20 H ur zeugte Uri. Uri zeugte Bezaleel.

And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.

21 D arnach kam Hezron zu der Tochter Machirs, des Vaters Gileads, und er nahm sie, da er sechzig Jahre alt war; und sie gebar ihm Segub.

And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir, the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old, and she gave birth to Segub unto him.

22 S egub aber zeugte Jair; der hatte dreiundzwanzig Städte im Lande Gilead.

And Segub begat Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.

23 A ber die Gessuriter und Syrer nahmen ihnen die Flecken Jairs, dazu Kenath mit seinen Ortschaften, sechzig Städte. Diese alle sind Kinder Machirs, des Vaters Gileads.

And Geshur and Aram took the cities of Jair from them, with Kenath and its towns, even sixty cities. All these were of the sons of Machir, the father of Gilead.

24 N ach dem Tode Hezrons in Kaleb Ephratha gebar Hezrons Weib Abia ihm Ashur, den Vater Thekoas.

And after Hezron was dead in Calebephratah, then Abiah, Hezron’s wife, gave birth to Ashur unto him, the father of Tekoa.

25 J erahmeel, der erste Sohn Hezrons, hatte Kinder: den ersten, Ram, Buna, Oren und Ozem und Ahia.

And the sons of Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron, were Ram, the firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah.

26 U nd Jerahmeel hatte noch ein anderes Weib, die hieß Atara; die ist die Mutter Onams.

Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

27 D ie Kinder aber Rams, des ersten Sohnes Jerahmeels, sind: Maaz, Jamin und Eker.

And the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.

28 A ber Onam hatte Kinder: Sammai und Jada. Die Kinder aber Sammais sind: Nadab und Abisur.

And the sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai, Nadab, and Abishur.

29 D as Weib aber Abisurs hieß Abihail, die gebar Achban und Molid.

And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she gave birth to Ahban and Molid unto him.

30 D ie Kinder aber Nadabs sind: Seled und Appaim; und Seled starb ohne Kinder.

And the sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim. But Seled died without children.

31 D ie Kinder Appaims sind: Jesai. Die Kinder Jesais sind: Sesan. Die Kinder Sesans sind: Ahelai.

And Ishi was the son of Appaim. And Sheshan, the son of Ishi; and the son of Sheshan, Ahlai.

32 D ie Kinder aber Jadas, des Bruders Sammais, sind: Jether und Jonathan; Jether aber starb ohne Kinder.

And the sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai: Jether and Jonathan; and Jether died without children.

33 D ie Kinder aber Jonathans sind: Peleth und Sasa. Das sind die Kinder Jerahmeels.

And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

34 S esan aber hatte nicht Söhne, sondern Töchter. Und Sesan hatte einen ägyptischen Knecht, der hieß Jarha.

Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a slave, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.

35 U nd Sesan gab Jarha, seinem Knecht seine Tochter zum Weibe; die gebar ihm Atthai.

And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha, his slave, to wife; and she bore him Attai.

36 A tthai zeugte Nathan. Nathan zeugte Sabad.

And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,

37 S abad zeugte Ephlal. Ephlal zeugte Obed.

and Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,

38 O bed zeugte Jehu. Jehu zeugte Asarja.

and Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,

39 A sarja zeugte Helez. Helez zeugte Eleasa.

and Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,

40 E leasa zeugte Sisemai. Sisemai zeugte Sallum.

and Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum,

41 S allum zeugte Jekamja. Jekamja zeugte Elisama.

and Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.

42 D ie Kinder Kalebs, des Bruder Jerahmeels, sind: Mesa, sein erster Sohn, der ist der Vater Siphs, und die Kinder Maresas, des Vaters Hebrons.

Now the sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, were Mesha, his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and of his other sons, Mareshah, the father of Hebron.

43 D ie Kinder aber Hebrons sind: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem und Sama.

And the sons of Hebron: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema.

44 S ama aber zeugte Raham, den Vater Jorkeams. Rekem zeugte Sammai.

And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam; and Rekem begat Shammai.

45 D er Sohn aber Sammais hieß Maon, und Maon war der Vater Beth-Zurs.

And the son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Bethzur.

46 E pha aber, das Kebsweib Kalebs, gebar Haran, Moza und Gases. Haran aber zeugte Gases.

And Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, gave birth to Haran, Moza, and Gazez unto him, and Haran begat Gazez.

47 D ie Kinder aber Jahdais sind: Regem, Jotham, Gesan, Pelet, Epha und Saaph.

And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.

48 A ber Maacha, das Kebsweib Kalebs, gebar Seber und Thirhena

Maachah, Caleb’s concubine, gave birth to Sheber and Tirhanah unto him.

49 u nd gebar auch Saaph, den Vater Madmannas, und Sewa, den Vater Machbenas und den Vater Gibeas. Aber Achsa war Kalebs Tochter.

She also gave birth to Shaaph, the father of Madmannah, Sheva, the father of Machbenah and father of Gibea. And Achsah was the daughter of Caleb.

50 D ies waren die Kinder Kalebs: die Söhne Hurs, des ersten Sohn's von der Ephratha: Sobal, der Vater Kirjath-Jearims;

These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah: Shobal, the father of Kirjathjearim,

51 S alma, der Vater Bethlehems; Hareph, der Vater Bethgaders.

Salma, the father of Bethlehem, Hareph, the father of Bethgader.

52 U nd Sobal, der Vater Kirjath-Jearims, hatte Söhne: Haroe und die Hälfte der Manahthiter.

And the sons of Shobal, the father of Kirjathjearim, who was lord of half of Manaheth.

53 D ie Freundschaften aber zu Kirjath-Jearim waren die Jethriter, Puthiter, Sumathiter und Misraiter. Von diesen sind ausgegangen die Zorathiter und Esthaoliter.

And the families of Kirjathjearim: the Ithrites and the Puhites and the Shumathites and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites and the Eshtaulites.

54 D ie Kinder Salmas sind Bethlehem und die Netophathiter, Atharoth des Hauses Joabs und die Hälfte der Manahthiter, das sind die Zoraiter.

The sons of Salma: Bethlehem and the Netophathites, the crowns of the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.

55 U nd die Freundschaften der Schreiber, die zu Jabez wohnten, sind die Thireathiter, Simeathiter, Suchathiter. Das sind die Kiniter, die da gekommen sind von Hammath, dem Vater des Hauses Rechabs.

And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
