1 ( По слав. 146). Хвалете Господа; защото е добро нещо да пеем хваления на нашия Бог, Защото е приятно, и хвалението е прилично.

¶ Halelu-JAH: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for praise is pleasant and beautiful.

2 Г оспод гради Ерусалим, Събира Израилевите заточеници.

The LORD, he who builds up Jerusalem; shall gather together the outcasts of Israel.

3 И зцелява съкрушените в сърце И превързва скърбите им.

He heals the broken hearted, and he binds up their wounds.

4 И зброява числото на звездите. Нарича ги всички по име.

He counts the number of the stars and calls them all by their names.

5 В елик е нашият Господ, и голяма и силата Му; Разумът Му е безпределен.

Great is our Lord and of great power; his intelligence is infinite.

6 Г оспод укрепва кротките, А нечестивите унижава до земята.

The LORD lifts up the humble; he casts the wicked down to the earth.

7 П ейте Господу и благодарете Му. Пейте хваления с арфа на нашия Бог.

Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

8 К ойто покрива небето с облаци, Приготвя дъжд за земята, И прави да расте трева по планините;

Who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares the rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow upon the mountains.

9 К ойто дава храна на животните И на гарвановите пилета, които пиукат.

He who gives the beast his food and to the sons of the ravens which cry unto him.

10 Н е се удоволствува в силата на коня, Нито има благоволение в краката на мъжете.

He does not delight in the strength of the horse; nor does he take pleasure in the legs of a man.

11 Г оспод има благоволение в ония, които Му се боят, В ония, които уповават на Неговата милост. (По слав. 147).

The LORD takes pleasure in those that fear him, in those that wait upon his mercy.

12 ( 1)Слави Господа, Ерусалиме; Хвали твоя Бог, Сионе;

¶ Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

13 ( 2)Защото Той закрепява лостовете на твоите порти, Благославя чадата ти всред тебе.

For he has strengthened the bars of thy gates; he has blessed thy sons within thee.

14 ( 3)Установява мир в твоите предели, Насища те с най изрядната пшеница.

He who makes peace to be thy borders shall fill thee with the finest of the wheat.

15 ( 4)Изпраща заповедтта Си по земята; Словото Му тича много бърже;

He sends forth his word upon earth; his word runs very swiftly.

16 ( 5)Дава сняг като вълна, Разпръсва сланата като пепел,

He who gives snow like wool scatters the hoarfrost like ashes.

17 ( 6)Хвърля леда си като уломъци; Пред мраза Му кой може устоя?

He casts forth his ice like morsels; who can stand before his cold?

18 ( 7)Пак изпраща словото Си и ги разтопява; Прави вятъра си да духа, и водите текат.

He shall send forth his word and melt them; his wind shall blow, and the waters shall flow.

19 ( 8)Възвестява словото Си на Якова, Повеленията Си и съдбите Си на Израиля.

He declares his words unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

20 ( 9)Не е постъпил така с никой друг народ; И те не са познали съдбите Му. Алилуя!
