1 ( По слав. 93). Господи Боже, Кому принадлежи отмъщението, Господи, кому принадлежи отмъщението, възсияй.

¶ O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongs; O God, to whom vengeance belongs, show thyself.

2 И здигни се, Ти Съдия на земята, Отдай на горделивите това, което им се пада.

Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

3 Г осподи, до кога нечестивите, До кога нечестивите ще тържествуват?

LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

4 Т е бъбрят, говорят надменно; Всички, които вършат беззаконие, се хвалят.

How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

5 Т е съкрушават людете Ти, Господи, И притесняват наследството Ти;

They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thy heritage.

6 У биват вдовицата и чужденеца, И умъртвяват сирачетата.

They slay the widow and the stranger and murder the fatherless.

7 И казват: Господ няма да види, Нито ще обърне внимание Якововият Бог.

Yet they say, JAH shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

8 Р азсъдете, вие безумни между людете! Вие глупави, кога ще поумнеете? -

Understand, ye carnal ones among the people, and, ye fools, when will ye be wise?

9 О ня, Който е поставил ухото не чува ли? Който е създал окото, не вижда ли?

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10 О ня, Който вразумява народите, Който учи човека знание, Не изобличава ли?

He that chastens the Gentiles, shall he not correct? he that teaches man knowledge, shall not he know?

11 Г оспод знае, че човешките мисли са лъх.

The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

12 Б лажен оня човек, когото Ти, Господи вразумяваш, И когото учиш от закона Си,

¶ Blessed is the man whom thou dost chasten, O JAH, and teach him out of thy law,

13 З а да го успокояваш през дните на злочестието, Докато се изкопае ров за нечестивия.

to cause him to rest in the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

14 З ащото Господ не ще отхвърли людете Си, Нито ще остави наследството Си;

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15 П онеже съдбата пак ще се съобразява с правдата, И всички, които са с прави сърца, ще я последват.

But the judgment shall be returned unto righteousness, and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16 К ой ще стане за мене против злодейците Кой ще стане с мене против ония които вършат беззаконие?

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17 А ко не беше ми помогнал Господ, Душата ми без малко би се преселила в мълчанието.

Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would have quickly dwelt with the dead.

18 К огато казах: Подхлъзва се ногата ми, Тогава, Господи, Твоята милост ме подпря.

When I said, My foot slips, thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

19 В сред множеството грижи на сърцето ми Твоите утешения веселят душата ми.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me, thy comforts delight my soul.

20 Щ е има ли съобщение с Тебе седалището на беззаконието, Което е хитро да върши зло чрез закон?

Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, who creates toil under the guise of law?

21 Т е се опълчват против душата на праведния И осъждат невинна кръв.

They gather themselves together as an army against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent blood.

22 Н о Господ е високата моя кула, И Бог мой е канара, при която прибягвам.

But the LORD is my refuge, and my God is the rock of my trust.

23 Т ой ще обърне върху тях собственото им беззаконие, И ще ги отсече в нечестието им; Господ нашият Бог ще ги отсече.

And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
