LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

5 R abbiyow, iyagu waxay burburiyaan dadkaaga, Oo dhaxalkaagay silciyaan.

They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thy heritage.

6 C armalka iyo shisheeyaha ayay laayaan, Oo agoontay nafta ka qaadaan.

They slay the widow and the stranger and murder the fatherless.

7 O o waxay isyidhaahdaan, Waxan Rabbigu ma arki doono, Oo Ilaaha reer Yacquubna kama fikiri doono.

Yet they say, JAH shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

8 K uwiinna doqonnada ah oo dadka ku dhex jirow, fiirsada, Oo kuwiinna nacasyada ahow, goormaad caqli yeelanaysaan?

Understand, ye carnal ones among the people, and, ye fools, when will ye be wise?

9 K ii dhegta abuuray, sow wax maqli maayo? Kii isha sameeyeyna, sow wax arki maayo?

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10 K an quruumaha edbiyaa, sow wax hagaajin maayo? Kaasoo ah kan dadka aqoonta bara?

He that chastens the Gentiles, shall he not correct? he that teaches man knowledge, shall not he know?

11 R abbigu waa og yahay fikirrada binu-aadmigu Inay micnela'aan yihiin.

The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

12 R abbiyow, waxaa barakaysan ninkii aad edbiso, Oo aad sharcigaaga wax ka barto,

¶ Blessed is the man whom thou dost chasten, O JAH, and teach him out of thy law,

13 S i aad uga nasiso maalmaha belaayada Inta kan sharka lahaa godka loo qodayo.

to cause him to rest in the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

14 W aayo, Rabbigu dadkiisa xoori maayo, Oo dhaxalkiisana dayrin maayo.

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15 W aayo, garsooriddu waxay ku soo noqon doontaa xaqnimada, Oo inta qalbigoodu qumman yahay oo dhammuna way raaci doonaan.

But the judgment shall be returned unto righteousness, and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16 B al yaa ii kacaya oo sharfalayaasha iga hor joogsanaya? Oo yaa ii soo istaagaya oo xumaanfalayaasha iga celinaya?

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17 R abbigu haddaanu i caawin, Hadda naftaydu waxay joogi lahayd meesha aamusnaanta.

Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would have quickly dwelt with the dead.

18 M arkaan idhi, Rabbiyow, cagtaydu waa simbiriirixanaysaa, Waxaa kor ii qaadday naxariistaada.

When I said, My foot slips, thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

19 K olkay fikirro badan igu dhex jiraan Waxaa naftayda ka farxiya qalbiqaboojintaada.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me, thy comforts delight my soul.

20 C arshiga sharnimadu ma xidhiidh buu kula yeelanayaa, Kaasoo belaayo qaynuun ku qabanqaabiya?

Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, who creates toil under the guise of law?

21 W axay dhammaantood isu soo wada urursadaan kan xaqa ah naftiisa, Oo waxay xukumaan dhiig aan eed lahayn.

They gather themselves together as an army against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent blood.

22 L aakiinse Rabbigu waxa weeye munaaraddayda, Ilaahayna waa dhagaxii magangalkayga.

But the LORD is my refuge, and my God is the rock of my trust.

23 O o wuxuu dushooda ku soo celiyey xumaatadoodii, Oo wuxuu iyaga ku dhex baabbi'in doonaa sharnimadooda, Rabbiga Ilaaheenna ahu wuu wada baabbi'in doonaa.

And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
