1 M agac wanaagsan baa laga doortaa maal badan, Oo nimcana waa ka wanaagsan tahay lacag iyo dahab.

¶ A good reputation is rather to be chosen than great riches and good grace rather than silver and gold.

2 T aajirka iyo miskiinku way wada kulmaan, Oo Rabbigu waa kii kulligood sameeyey.

¶ The rich and poor meet together; the LORD is the maker of them all.

3 N inkii miyir lahu sharkuu arkaa, wuuna dhuuntaa, Laakiinse garaadlaawayaashu way iska sii maraan, waana la taqsiiraa.

¶ A prudent man foresees the evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and receive hurt.

4 I s-hoosaysiinta iyo Rabbiga ka cabsashadiisa abaalgudkoodu Waxaa weeyaan hodantinimo iyo sharaf iyo nolol.

¶ Riches and honour and life are the remuneration of humility and of the fear of the LORD.

5 Q odxan iyo dabinnaba waxay yaalliin jidka ninka qalloocan, Laakiinse kii naftiisa dhawraa waa ka fogaan doonaa iyaga.

6 I lmo u rabbee siduu ku socon lahaa, Oo isna xataa markuu gaboobo kama leexan doono.

¶ Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.

7 T aajirku masaakiintuu u taliyaa Oo kii wax amaahdaana midiidin buu u yahay kii wax amaahiya.

¶ The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.

8 K ii xumaan beeraa wuxuu goosan doonaa belaayo, Oo usha cadhadiisuna way dhammaan doontaa.

¶ He that sows iniquity shall reap iniquity, and the rod of his anger shall fail.

9 K ii il deeqsiya lahu wuu barakoobi doonaa, Waayo, isagu wuxuu cuntadiisa wax ka siiyaa masaakiinta.

¶ He that has a merciful eye shall be blessed, for he gives of his bread to the destitute.

10 K an wax quudhsada eri, oo muranku wuu bixi doonaa, Dirirta iyo cayduna way dhammaan doonaan.

¶ Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; strife and reproach shall cease.

11 K ii daahirsanaanta qalbiga jecel, Oo bushimihiisu nimco leeyihiin, xataa boqorka ayaa saaxiibkiis ahaan doona.

¶ He that loves pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend.

12 I ndhaha Rabbigu waxay dhawraan ka aqoonta leh, Laakiinse isagu wuxuu afgembiyaa erayada khaayinka.

¶ The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, and he overthrows the words of the transgressor.

13 K ii caajis ahu wuxuu yidhaahdaa, Libaax baa dibadda jooga, Oo jidka dhexdiisa ayaa laygu dili doonaa.

¶ The slothful man says, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.

14 N aago qalaad afkoodu waa god dheer, Oo waxaa ku dhici doona kii xagga Rabbiga laga nacay.

¶ The mouth of strange women is a deep pit; he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.

15 N acasnimadu waxay ku xidhan tahay qalbiga ilmaha. Laakiinse usha edbintu way ka fogayn doontaa.

¶ Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child, but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

16 K ii miskiinka u dulma inuu maal korodhsado, Iyo kii taajirka wax siiyaaba hubaal way baahnaan doonaan. Erayada Kuwa Caqliga Leh

¶ He that oppresses the poor to increase his riches and who gives to the rich shall surely come to want.

17 D hegta u dhig, oo erayada kuwa caqliga leh maqal, Oo qalbigana aqoontayda u jeedi.

¶ Bow down thine ear and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my wisdom.

18 W aayo, waa wax wanaagsan haddii aad uurka ku haysatid, Oo hadday dhammaantood bushimahaaga diyaar ku ahaadaan.

For it is a delightful thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall be ordered together in thy lips.

19 B al eeg, adigaan maanta iyaga ku ogeysiiyey, Inaad Rabbiga aaminsan tahay.

That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.

20 M iyaanan waxyaalo wanaagsan kuugu qorin Talooyinka iyo aqoonta,

Have I not written unto thee three times in counsels and knowledge,

21 S i aan kuu ogeysiiyo hubaasha erayada runta, Inaad erayada runta uga jawaabtid kuwii ku soo diray?

that I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth, that thou mightest answer the words of truth to those that send unto thee?

22 M iskiinka ha dhicin, waayo, isagu waa miskiin, Oo kan dhibaataysanna meesha iridda ha ku dulmin,

¶ Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither destroy the destitute in judgment:

23 W aayo, Rabbiga ayaa dacwadooda u qaadi doona, Oo kuwa iyaga dhaca naftoodana wuu dhici doonaa.

For the LORD will judge their cause and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.

24 H a la saaxiibin nin xanaaq badan, Oo nin cadho kululna waa inaanad la socon,

¶ Do not meddle with an angry man, and with a furious man thou shalt not go:

25 W aaba intaas oo aad jidkiisa baratid, Oo aad naftaadana dabin ku riddid.

Lest thou learn his ways and get a snare to thy soul.

26 H a noqonin sida kuwa gacanta dhaar ugu dhiiba, Ama sida kuwa deyman u dammiinta.

¶ Be not thou one of them that strike hands or of them that are sureties for debts.

27 H addaanad haysan wax aad bixiso, Bal muxuu sariirtaada hoostaada uga la bixi?

If thou hast nothing to pay, why should they take away thy bed from under thee?

28 S oohdinta hore oo ay awowayaashu dhigeen Innaba ha durkin.

¶ Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.

29 M iyaad aragtaa nin shuqulkiisa ku dadaala? Isagu wuxuu istaagi doonaa boqorro hortood. Oo kuwa hoose hortoodana ma istaagi doono.

¶ Seest thou a man diligent in his work? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before obscure men.
