Maahmaahyadii 25 ~ Proverbs 25

1 O o weliba kuwanuna waa maahmaahyadii Sulaymaan, Oo boqorkii Yahuudah oo Xisqiyaah ahaa raggiisii ay soo guuriyeen.

¶ These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.

2 W aa u ammaan Ilaah inuu xaal qariyo, Laakiinse waa u ammaan boqorrada inay xaal baadhaan.

¶ It is the glory of God to conceal the word, but the honour of kings is to search out the word.

3 S ida samadu u sarrayso, oo dhulkuna u gun dheer yahay, Ayaan qalbiga boqorrada loo baadhi karin.

For the height of the heavens and depth of the earth and for the heart of kings, there is no investigation.

4 L acagta wasakhda ka qaad, Oo dabadeedna waxaa lacagshubaha uga soo bixi doona weel.

¶ Take away the dross from the silver, and a vessel shall come forth for the finer.

5 B oqorka hortiisa kuwa sharka leh ka fogee, Oo carshigiisuna xaqnimuu ku taagnaan doonaa.

Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.

6 H a isweynweynayn boqorka hortiisa, Oo kuwa waaweyn meeshoodana ha istaagin.

¶ Do not praise thyself in the presence of the king, and do not stand in the place of great men;

7 A miirkii aad indhahaaga ku aragtay Intii hortiisa lagu hoosaysiin lahaa, Waxaa kuu wanaagsan iyadoo lagu yidhaahdo, Halkan sare kaalay.

for it is better that it be said unto thee, Come up here than that thou should be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen.

8 D irir degdeg ha ugu bixin, Waaba intaasoo aad ugu dambaysta garan weydaa waxaad samayn lahayd, Markii uu deriskaagu ku ceebeeyey dabadeed.

¶ Do not go forth hastily to strive lest thou know not what to do in the end thereof when thy neighbour has put thee to shame.

9 D acwadaada deriskaaga kala dood, Laakiinse mid kale xaalkiisa qarsoon ha sheegin,

Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself and do not uncover the secret to another

10 W aaba intaas oo uu ku caayaa kii maqlaa, Oo aanay ceebtaadu kaa hadhin.

lest he that hears it put thee to shame and thine infamy not turn away.

11 H adalkii si hagaagsan loogu hadlaa Wuxuu la mid yahay tufaaxyo dahab ah oo lagu dhex sameeyey taswiiro lacag ah.

¶ A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold inscribed with silver.

12 K ii caqli leh oo wax canaantaa wuxuu dhegta wax maqasha oo addeecda ula mid yahay Hilqado dahab ah iyo wax laysku sharraxo oo dahab saafiya ah.

As an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold, so is he who reproves a wise man who has a docile ear.

13 W argeeyihii aamin ahu wuxuu kuwii isaga soo diray ula mid yahay Qabowga barafka cad oo wakhtiga beergooyska, Waayo, isagu wuxuu qabowjiyaa nafta sayidyadiisa.

¶ As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to those that send him, for he refreshes the soul of his master.

14 K u alla kii hadiyad been ah isku faaniyaa Wuxuu la mid yahay daruuro iyo dabayl aan roob lahayn.

¶ Whosoever boasts in a gift of falsehood is like clouds and wind without rain.

15 W axaa xaakin wax lagu oggolaysiiyaa dulqaadasho badan, Carrab macaanuna laftuu jebiyaa.

¶ By long forbearing a prince is persuaded, and a soft tongue breaks the bones.

16 M alab ma heshay? In kugu filan oo keliya ka cun, Waaba intaas oo intaad ka dheregto aad soo hunqaacdaaye.

¶ Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.

17 C agtaadu ha ku yaraato guriga deriskaaga, Waaba intaasoo uu kaa daalaa oo uu ku necbaadaaye.

¶ Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour’s house lest he be weary of thee and so hate thee.

18 N inkii deriskiisa marag been ah ku furaa Waa sida budh iyo seef iyo fallaadh af badan oo kale.

¶ A man that bears false witness against his neighbour is a maul and a sword and a sharp arrow.

19 I n wakhtiga dhibaatada nin aaminlaawe ah laysku halleeyo Waa sida ilig jaban iyo cag murkacatay oo kale.

¶ Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.

20 K ii qalbi murugaysan u gabyaa Waa sida mid maalin qabow huwiska iska qaada iyo sida khal soodhe lagu shubo oo kale.

¶ As he that takes away a garment in cold weather and as vinegar upon soap, so is he that sings songs to a heavy heart.

21 C adowgaagu hadduu gaajaysan yahay, wax uu cuno sii, Hadduu harraadsan yahayna waraabi,

¶ If thy enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink,

22 W aayo, dhuxulo dab ah ayaad madaxiisa ku tuuli doontaa, Oo Rabbiguna waa kuu abaalgudi doonaa.

for thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.

23 D abaysha woqooyi roob bay keentaa, Sidaas oo kale carrabkii xan badanna weji cadhaysan buu keenaa.

¶ The north wind drives away rain, so does an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.

24 I n guriga dushiisa dhinac laga joogo ayaa ka roon In guri weyn naag muran badan lala joogo.

¶ It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.

25 W arkii wanaagsan oo dal fog ka yimaadaa Waa sida biyo qabow ay naf harraadsan u yihiin oo kale.

¶ As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.

26 N inkii xaq ah ee kii shar leh isu dhiibaa Waa sida durdur qasmay iyo sida il biyood oo wasakhowday oo kale.

¶ A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain and a corrupt spring.

27 I n malab badan la cunaa ma wanaagsana, Sidaas oo kalena in ammaan la doondoontaa ammaan ma aha.

¶ It is not good to eat much honey, so for men to search their own glory is not glory.

28 K ii aan ruuxiisa u talin karinu Waa sida magaalo duntay oo aan derbi lahayn oo kale.

¶ The man whose spirit has no restraint is like a city that is broken down and without walls.
