1 П авел, Сила и Тимотей до солунската църква в Бога Отца и Господа Исуса Христа: Благодат и мир да бъде на вас.

¶ Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the congregation of the Thessalonians congregated in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 В сякота благодарим на Бога за всички ви и ви споменаваме в молитвите си,

¶ We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers,

3 к ато си спомняме непрестанно пред нашия Бог и Отец вашата работа с вяра и труд, с любов и твърда надежда в нашия Господ Исус Христос.

remembering without ceasing the work of your faith and labour and charity and of waiting with the hope of our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father,

4 П онеже знаем, възлюбени от Бога, братя, че Той ви е избрал;

being certain, beloved brethren, that you are chosen of God.

5 з ащото нашето благовествуване между вас не беше само с думи, но и със сила, със Светия Дух и с голяма увереност; както и знаете, какви се показахме помежду си заради вас.

For our gospel did not come unto you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and in full assurance as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

6 И вие станахте подражатели на нас и на Господа, като, зарад много скърби, приехте словото с радост, която е от Светия Дух;

¶ And ye were made imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word with much tribulation, with joy of the Holy Spirit:

7 т ака щото станахте пример на всички вярващи в Македония и в Аханя.

So that ye have become examples to all that have believed in Macedonia and Achaia.

8 З ащото не само се прогласи Господното слово от вас в Македония и Аханя, но се разчу навсякъде и вашата вяра в Бога, така щото ние нямаме нужда да казваме нещо за нея.

For through you the word of the Lord has been divulged not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith, which is in God, has become extended, so that we have no need to say anything.

9 З ащото сами те оповестяват за нас какъв достъп имахме при вас, и как сте се обърнали от идоли към Бога, за да служите на жив и истинен Бог.

For they themselves tell of us what an entrance we had unto you and in what manner ye were converted to God from idols to serve the living and true God

10 и да очаквате Неговия Син от небесата, същия Исус, Когото въскреси от мъртвите, Който ни избавя от идещия гняв.

and to wait for his Son from the heavens, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come.
