1 ¶ Halelu-JAH: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for praise is pleasant and beautiful.

¡Aleluya! ¡Cuán bueno es cantar salmos a nuestro Dios! ¡Cuán grato y hermoso es alabarlo!

2 T he LORD, he who builds up Jerusalem; shall gather together the outcasts of Israel.

El Señor reconstruye a Jerusalén, y hace volver a los israelitas desterrados.

3 H e heals the broken hearted, and he binds up their wounds.

El Señor reanima a los descorazonados, y sana sus heridas.

4 H e counts the number of the stars and calls them all by their names.

El Señor creó todas la estrellas del cielo, y a cada una le puso nombre.

5 G reat is our Lord and of great power; his intelligence is infinite.

Nuestro Señor es grande y poderoso, y su sabiduría no tiene límite.

6 T he LORD lifts up the humble; he casts the wicked down to the earth.

El Señor exalta a los humildes, y humilla hasta el polvo a los malvados.

7 S ing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

¡Cantemos alabanzas al Señor! ¡Cantemos salmos a nuestro Dios al son del arpa!

8 W ho covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares the rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow upon the mountains.

El Señor cubre de nubes los cielos, y hace que llueva sobre la tierra; El Señor hace crecer la hierba de los montes;

9 H e who gives the beast his food and to the sons of the ravens which cry unto him.

da de comer a los ganados, y también a los polluelos de los cuervos, cuando piden.

10 H e does not delight in the strength of the horse; nor does he take pleasure in the legs of a man.

El Señor no se deleita en los caballos briosos, ni se complace en la agilidad de los jinetes;

11 T he LORD takes pleasure in those that fear him, in those that wait upon his mercy.

El Señor se complace en los que le honran, y en los que confían en su misericordia.

12 ¶ Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

Jerusalén, ¡alaba al Señor! Sión, ¡alaba a tu Dios!

13 F or he has strengthened the bars of thy gates; he has blessed thy sons within thee.

El Señor refuerza los cerrojos de tus puertas, y bendice a los que habitan dentro de tus muros.

14 H e who makes peace to be thy borders shall fill thee with the finest of the wheat.

El Señor mantiene en paz tus fronteras, y te sacia con lo mejor del trigo.

15 H e sends forth his word upon earth; his word runs very swiftly.

El Señor envía su palabra a la tierra, y sus órdenes se cumplen de inmediato.

16 H e who gives snow like wool scatters the hoarfrost like ashes.

Cae la nieve como copos de lana, y la escarcha se esparce como ceniza.

17 H e casts forth his ice like morsels; who can stand before his cold?

Deja caer las piedrecillas de granizo; y a causa del frío todo se congela.

18 H e shall send forth his word and melt them; his wind shall blow, and the waters shall flow.

Pero da otra orden, y el hielo se derrite; sopla el viento, y las aguas vuelven a correr.

19 H e declares his words unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

El Señor comunicó a Jacob, que es Israel, sus estatutos y sus sentencias.

20 H e has not dealt so with the other nations, which have not known his judgments. Halelu-JAH.
