1 ¶ Jude, slave of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those that are called, sanctified in God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:

2 M ercy and peace and charity be multiplied unto you.

Que la misericordia, la paz y el amor abunden en ustedes. Falsas doctrinas y falsos maestros

3 ¶ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you and exhort you that ye should earnestly persevere in the faith which was given once unto the saints.

Amados hermanos, yo he tenido un gran deseo de escribirles acerca de la salvación que tenemos en común, pero ahora me encuentro en la necesidad de escribirles para rogarles que luchen ardientemente por la fe que una vez fue dada a los santos,

4 F or there are certain men crept in unawares without fear or reverence of God, who from beforehand have been ordained unto this condemnation, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness and denying God who alone has dominion, and our Lord Jesus, the Christ.

pues por medio de engaños se han infiltrado entre ustedes algunos malvados. Éstos, que desde antes habían sido destinados a la condenación, convierten la gracia de nuestro Dios en libertinaje y niegan a Jesucristo, nuestro único Soberano y Señor.

5 I will, therefore, remind you, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those that did not believe.

Aunque ustedes ya lo saben, quiero recordarles que cuando el Señor salvó al pueblo y lo sacó de Egipto, destruyó a los que no creyeron.

6 A nd the angels who did not keep their first estate but left their own habitation, he has reserved in eternal chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Incluso a los ángeles que no cuidaron su dignidad, sino que abandonaron su propia mansión, los ha retenido para siempre en prisiones oscuras, para el juicio del gran día.

7 E ven as Sodom and Gomorrha and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication and going after strange flesh, were set forth for an example, having received the judgment of eternal fire.

También Sodoma y Gomorra, y las ciudades vecinas, que lo mismo que aquéllos practicaron la inmoralidad sexual y los vicios contra la naturaleza, fueron puestas como ejemplo y sufrieron el castigo del fuego eterno.

8 ¶ In the same manner these deceived dreamers, defile their flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of higher powers.

Así mismo, también estos hombres, en sus sueños, contaminan su cuerpo, rechazan la autoridad y blasfeman de los poderes superiores.

9 Y et when Michael, the archangel, contended with the devil, disputing over the body of Moses, he dared not bring against him a curse of judgment, but said, The Lord reprehend thee.

Pero ni siquiera el arcángel Miguel, cuando luchaba con el diablo y le disputaba el cuerpo de Moisés, se atrevió a proferir contra él juicio de maldición, sino que le dijo: «Que el Señor te reprenda.»

10 B ut these speak evil of those things which they do not know; but what they know by nature as animals without reason, in those things they corrupt themselves.

Pero éstos blasfeman de las cosas que no conocen; y en las que por instinto conocen se corrompen como animales irracionales.

11 W oe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

¡Lástima de ellos!, porque han seguido el camino de Caín. Por amor al dinero cayeron en el error de Balaam y murieron en la rebelión de Coré.

12 T hese are spots in your banquets of charity, feeding themselves without any fear whatsoever: clouds without water, carried to and fro of the winds; trees withered as in fall, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

Éstos empañan los ágapes que ustedes celebran, pues sin vergüenza alguna comen pensando sólo en sí mismos. Son nubes sin agua, que el viento arrastra de un lado a otro; árboles otoñales que no dan fruto; carentes de raíces, se han secado y vuelto a secar.

13 r aging waves of the sea, foaming out their own abominations; erratic stars, to whom is reserved gross darkness eternally.

Son indómitas olas del mar, cuya espuma es su propia vergüenza; estrellas errantes, cuyo eterno destino serán las más densas tinieblas.

14 A nd Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his saints

Acerca de ellos profetizó también Enoc, el séptimo en orden a partir de Adán, y dijo: «¡Miren! El Señor viene con sus miríadas de santos.

15 ¶ to execute judgment upon all and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have unfaithfully committed and of all the hard words which the unfaithful sinners have spoken against him.

Viene para juzgar a todos, y condenará a todos los impíos por todas las malas obras que en su impiedad han cometido, y por todas las insolencias que los pecadores e impíos han lanzado contra él.»

16 T hese are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own desires; and their mouth speaks arrogant things, admiring persons to take advantage.

Éstos critican y se quejan de todo, y sólo buscan satisfacer sus propios deseos. Son arrogantes al hablar, aunque también lisonjean a los otros para sacar provecho. Amonestaciones y exhortaciones

17 B ut, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Pero ustedes, amados hermanos, recuerden lo que antes les comunicaron los apóstoles de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

18 h ow that they told you, That in the last time there would be mockers, who would walk after their own ungodly desires.

Ellos les advirtieron: «En los últimos días habrá gente blasfema, que vivirá de acuerdo con sus bajos deseos.»

19 T hese are those who make divisions, and are as animals, not having the Spirit.

Son éstos los que causan divisiones, pues son carnales y no tienen al Espíritu.

20 B ut ye, beloved, building up yourselves upon your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

Pero ustedes, amados hermanos, sigan edificándose sobre la base de su santísima fe, oren en el Espíritu Santo,

21 k eep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto eternal life,

manténganse en el amor de Dios, mientras esperan la misericordia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo para vida eterna.

22 A nd receive some with mercy, discerning;

Sean comprensivos con los que dudan.

23 A nd others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

A otros, arrebátenlos del fuego y pónganlos a salvo; y a otros más, ténganles compasión, pero ¡cuidado!, desechen aun la ropa que su cuerpo haya contaminado. Doxología

24 N ow unto him that is powerful to keep you without sin and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

Y a aquel que es poderoso para cuidar de que no caigan, y presentarlos intachables delante de su gloria con gran alegría,

25 t o the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, now and in all the ages. Amen.

al único Dios, nuestro Salvador por medio de Jesucristo, sean dadas la gloria y la majestad, y el dominio y el poder, desde antes de todos los siglos y siempre. Amén.
