1 ¶ Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looks toward the east:

El hombre me llevó luego a la puerta que da hacia el oriente,

2 A nd, behold, the glory of the God of Israel that was coming from the east; and his noise was like the noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.

y vi que la gloria del Dios de Israel venía del oriente. Podía escucharse un rumor como de muchas aguas, y por causa de su gloria la tierra resplandecía.

3 A nd it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face.

Lo que vi tenía el aspecto de una visión, como la que tuve cuando el Señor vino a destruir la ciudad, y como las que tuve junto al río Quebar. Entonces me incliné sobre mi rostro,

4 A nd the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the gate facing toward the east.

y la gloria del Señor penetró en el templo a través de la puerta que daba al oriente.

5 S o the Spirit took me up and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.

El espíritu me levantó y me llevó al atrio interior, y allí vi cómo la gloria del Señor llenaba el templo. Leyes del templo

6 A nd I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me.

El hombre permanecía junto a mí, y entonces oí que desde el templo alguien me hablaba

7 ¶ And he said unto me, Son of man, this is the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, in which I will dwell in the midst of the sons of Israel for ever, and my holy name, the house of Israel shall no longer defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcasses of their kings in their altars.

y me decía: «Hijo de hombre, en este lugar tengo mi trono; en este lugar reposan las plantas de mis pies, y en este lugar habitaré para siempre entre los hijos de Israel. Nunca más el pueblo de Israel ni sus reyes volverán a profanar mi santo nombre con sus fornicaciones, ni con los cadáveres de sus reyes en sus lugares altos.

8 I n their setting of their threshold by my threshold, and their post by my post, and a wall between me and them, they have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed; therefore I have consumed them in my anger.

Porque ellos contaminaron mi santo nombre con las abominaciones que cometieron, pues pusieron su umbral junto a mi umbral, y su contrafuerte junto a mi contrafuerte, con sólo una pared entre ellos y yo. Por eso en mi furor los consumí.

9 N ow let them put away their whoredom, and the carcasses of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.

Pero ahora arrojarán lejos de mí sus fornicaciones y los cadáveres de sus reyes, y yo habitaré en medio de ellos para siempre.

10 T hou son of man, show this house to the house of Israel that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them understand the pattern.

»Tú, hijo de hombre, muéstrale este templo al pueblo de Israel, y haz que midan su diseño, para que se avergüencen de sus pecados.

11 A nd if they are ashamed of all that they have done, show them the form of the house, and its pattern, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all its figures, and all its descriptions, and all its paintings, and all its laws; and write it in their sight that they may keep the whole form thereof and all the ordinances thereof and do them.

Si en realidad se avergüenzan de todo lo que han hecho, dales a conocer el diseño del templo y su disposición, y sus salidas y entradas, y todas sus formas, descripciones y configuraciones, y también todas sus leyes. Descríbeselo en detalle, para que respeten todas sus formas y todas sus reglas, y las pongan por obra.

12 T his is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain it shall be built; the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.

Ésta es la ley del templo: La cumbre del monte, el recinto entero, y todos sus alrededores, será santísimo. Ésta es la ley del templo.»

13 ¶ And these are the measures of the altar in cubits: The cubit is a cubit and a hand breadth; the middle rim, one cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof by the edge thereof round about of a span. This shall be the high bottom of the altar.

Las medidas del altar eran en codos, y el codo equivale a cincuenta centímetros. La base medía cincuenta centímetros de ancho, y el remate alrededor de su borde medía veinticinco centímetros. Éste era el zócalo del altar.

14 A nd from the middle rim of the ground even to the lower settle, two cubits, and the breadth one cubit; and from the lesser settle to the greater settle, four cubits, and the breadth a cubit.

Partiendo del suelo, desde la base hasta el lugar de abajo, medía un metro, y el ancho era de cincuenta centímetros; desde la cornisa menor hasta la cornisa mayor medía dos metros con cincuenta centímetros de ancho.

15 S o the altar, of four cubits; and above the altar, four horns.

El altar medía dos metros, y encima del altar había cuatro cuernos.

16 A nd the altar was twelve cubits long, twelve broad, square on its four sides.

Por sus cuatro costados, el altar medía seis metros de largo por seis metros de ancho, pues era cuadrado.

17 A nd the patio was fourteen cubits long and fourteen broad on all four sides; and the border about it was half a cubit; and the middle which had a rim of a cubit on all sides; and its stairs were toward the east.

Por sus cuatro costados, el descanso medía siete metros de largo por siete metros de ancho, y el derredor del borde era de veinticinco centímetros; la base medía cincuenta centímetros por lado, y sus gradas miraban al oriente.

18 A nd he said unto me, Son of man, thus hath the Lord GOD said: These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon.

Aquel hombre me dijo: «Hijo de hombre, así ha dicho Dios el Señor: “Para el día en que el altar sea hecho, éstas son las ordenanzas para ofrecer holocausto sobre él, y para esparcir sobre él sangre.

19 A nd thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach unto me, to minister unto me, said the Lord GOD, a young bullock as sin.

A los sacerdotes levitas que son del linaje de Sadoc y que se acercan a mí para ministrar ante mí, les darás un becerro de la vacada para que lo ofrezcan como ofrenda de expiación. Palabra de Dios el Señor.

20 A nd thou shalt take of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar and on the four corners of the patio and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou remove the sin and reconcile it.

”Luego tomarás un poco de su sangre y la pondrás en los cuatro cuernos del altar, en las cuatro esquinas del descanso, y alrededor del borde; así lo limpiarás y purificarás.

21 T hen thou shalt take the bullock of the sin and burn it according to the law of the house, outside the sanctuary.

Después tomarás el becerro que se ofrece por la expiación, y lo quemarás fuera del santuario, conforme a la ley del templo.

22 A nd on the second day thou shalt offer a he goat without blemish as sin; and they shall remove the sin from the altar, as they removed it with the bullock.

Al segundo día ofrecerás un macho cabrío sin defecto, como ofrenda de expiación, y purificarán el altar como lo purificaron con el becerro.

23 W hen thou hast finished removing the sin, thou shalt offer a young bullock without blemish and a ram out of the flock without blemish.

Cuando acabes de hacer la expiación, ofrecerás de la vacada un becerro sin defecto, y de la manada un carnero sin tacha.

24 A nd thou shalt offer them before the LORD, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt offering unto the LORD.

Los ofrecerás delante del Señor, y los sacerdotes les echarán sal y los ofrecerán al Señor en holocausto.

25 S even days shalt thou prepare each day a he goat as sin; and a young bullock and a ram out of the flock, without blemish, shall they sacrifice.

Durante siete días sacrificarán cada día un macho cabrío en expiación, y sacrificarán también el becerro de la vacada y un carnero sin tacha del rebaño.

26 S even days shall they atone the altar, and they shall cleanse it; and they shall extend their hands.

Durante siete días harán expiación por el altar, y así lo limpiarán y lo consagrarán.

27 A nd when these days are expired, it shall be, that upon the eighth day, and so forward, the priests shall sacrifice your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, said the Lord GOD.

Al cabo de estos días, es decir, del octavo día en adelante, los sacerdotes sacrificarán sobre el altar sus holocaustos y sus ofrendas de paz. Entonces me serán aceptables.”» Palabra de Dios el Señor.
