1 ¶ O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good because his mercy endures for ever.

¡Alabemos al Señor, porque él es bueno; porque su misericordia permanece para siempre!

2 L et Israel now say that his mercy endures for ever.

Que lo diga ahora Israel: «¡Su misericordia permanece para siempre!»

3 L et the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endures for ever.

Que lo digan los descendientes de Aarón: «¡Su misericordia permanece para siempre!»

4 L et those that fear the LORD say now, that his mercy is eternal.

Que lo digan los temerosos del Señor: «¡Su misericordia permanece para siempre!»

5 F rom a tight place I called upon JAH; and JAH answered me and set me in a wide place.

En medio de la angustia clamé al Señor, y él me respondió y me dio libertad.

6 T he LORD is for me; I will not fear what man can do unto me.

El Señor está conmigo; no tengo miedo de lo que simples mortales me puedan hacer.

7 T he LORD takes my part with those that help me; therefore I shall see my desire upon those that hate me.

El Señor está conmigo y me brinda su ayuda; ¡he de ver derrotados a los que me odian!

8 I t is better to wait upon the LORD than to wait upon man.

Es mejor confiar en el Señor que confiar en simples mortales.

9 I t is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

Es mejor confiar en el Señor que confiar en gente poderosa.

10 A ll the nations compassed me about; but in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.

Todas las naciones me han rodeado, pero en el nombre del Señor las venceré.

11 T hey compassed me about; yea, they laid hold of me; but in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.

Me han rodeado y me acosan, pero en el nombre del Señor las venceré.

12 T hey compassed me about like bees; they were quenched as the fire of thorns; for in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.

Zumban a mi alrededor, como abejas; crepitan como espinos que arden; pero en el nombre del Señor las venceré.

13 T hou hast thrust at me with violence that I might fall, but the LORD helped me.

Me empujan con violencia, para hacerme caer, pero el Señor me sostendrá.

14 J AH is my strength and song and is become my saving health.

El Señor es mi fuerza, y a él dedico mi canto porque en él he hallado salvación.

15 T he voice of singing and saving health is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

En el campamento de los hombres justos se oyen gritos jubilosos de victoria: «¡La diestra del Señor hace grandes proezas!

16 T he right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

¡La diestra del Señor se ha levantado! La diestra del Señor hace grandes proezas!»

17 I shall not die, but live and declare the works of JAH.

No voy a morir. Más bien, voy a vivir para dar a conocer las obras del Señor.

18 J AH has chastened me sore, but he has not given me over unto death.

Aunque el Señor me castigó con dureza, no me entregó a la muerte.

19 ¶ Open unto me the gates of righteousness; I will go in through them; I will praise JAH.

¡Ábranme las puertas donde habita la justicia! ¡Quiero entrar por ellas para alabar al Señor!

20 T his gate is of the LORD; the righteous shall enter in.

Ellas son las puertas que llevan al Señor, y por ellas entran quienes son justos.

21 I will praise thee; for thou hast heard me and art become my saving health.

Te alabo, Señor, porque me escuchas, y porque me das tu salvación.

22 T he stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner.

La piedra que los constructores rechazaron, ha llegado a ser la piedra angular.

23 T his is the LORD’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

Esto viene de parte del Señor, y al verlo nuestros ojos se quedan maravillados.

24 T his is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Éste es el día que el Señor ha hecho; y en él nos alegraremos y regocijaremos.

25 S ave now, I beseech thee, O LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, cause us now to prosper.

Señor, ¡te ruego que vengas a salvarnos! ¡Te ruego que nos concedas la victoria!

26 B lessed be he that comes in the name of the LORD; from the house of the LORD we bless you.

¡Bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor! Desde el templo del Señor los bendecimos.

27 G od is the LORD, who has shined on us; bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

El Señor es Dios, y nos brinda su luz. ¡Que comience la fiesta! ¡Aten las ofrendas a los cuernos del altar!

28 T hou art my God, and I will praise thee; thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

Tú eres mi Dios, y siempre te alabaré; siempre, Dios mío, exaltaré tu nombre.

29 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good, for his mercy endures for ever.

¡Alabemos al Señor, porque él es bueno; porque su misericordia permanece para siempre!
