1 ¶ O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee; my soul thirsts for thee; my flesh longs for thee in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water;

Dios mío, ¡tú eres mi Dios! Yo te buscaré de madrugada. Mi alma desfallece de sed por ti; mi ser entero te busca con ansias, en terrenos secos e inhóspitos, sin agua,

2 i n this manner I beheld thee in holiness when I beheld thy power and thy glory.

con deseos de ver tu poder y tu gloria, como los he mirado en el santuario.

3 ¶ Because thy mercy is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Tu misericordia es mejor que la vida; por eso mis labios te alaban.

4 T hus will I bless thee in my life; in thy name shall I lift up my hands.

¡Yo te bendeciré mientras tenga vida, y en tu nombre levantaré mis manos!

5 M y soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips

Mi alma quedará del todo satisfecha, como si comiera los mejores platillos, y mis labios te aclamarán jubilosos

6 W hen I remember thee upon my bed and meditate on thee in the night watches.

al pensar en ti recostado en mi lecho, al meditar en ti durante mis desvelos.

7 ¶ Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

Porque tú has sido mi socorro, alegré viviré bajo la sombra de tus alas.

8 M y soul has followed hard after thee; thy right hand has upheld me.

Mi alma está apegada a ti; tu mano derecha me brinda apoyo.

9 B ut those that sought my soul, to destroy it, descended into the lower parts of the earth.

Los que buscan matarme y acabar conmigo caerán a lo más profundo de la tierra.

10 T hey shall be slain by the sword; they shall be a portion for foxes.

Los matarán a filo de espada; servirán de alimento a los chacales.

11 B ut the king shall rejoice in God; every one that swears by him shall be praised; for the mouth of those that speak lies shall be stopped.

Pero el rey se regocijará en Dios, y todos los que juran por él serán alabados, pero la boca de los mentirosos será acallada.
