1 ¶ We then that are stronger ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not please ourselves.

Así que, los que somos fuertes debemos soportar las flaquezas de los débiles, en vez de hacer lo que nos agrada.

2 L et each one of us please his neighbour in that which is good, unto edification.

Cada uno de nosotros debe agradar a su prójimo en lo que es bueno, con el fin de edificarlo.

3 F or the Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of those that reproached thee fell on me.

Porque ni aun Cristo se agradó a sí mismo sino que, como está escrito: «Las ofensas de los que te insultaban cayeron sobre mí.»

4 F or the things that were written beforehand were written for our instruction that we, through patient endurance and through the comfort of the scriptures, might have hope.

Las cosas que se escribieron antes, se escribieron para nuestra enseñanza, a fin de que tengamos esperanza por medio de la paciencia y la consolación de las Escrituras.

5 ¶ Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be unanimous among yourselves according to Christ Jesus,

Que el Dios de la paciencia y de la consolación les conceda a ustedes un mismo sentir, según Cristo Jesús,

6 t hat ye may with one accord and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

para que todos juntos y a una sola voz glorifiquen al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. El evangelio a los no judíos

7 ¶ Therefore bear one another, as the Christ also bore us, to the glory of God.

Por tanto, recíbanse unos a otros, como también Cristo nos recibió, para la gloria de Dios.

8 N ow I say that Christ Jesus, was a minister of the circumcision, by the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers;

Pues les digo que Cristo Jesús vino a ser siervo de los judíos para mostrar la verdad de Dios, para confirmar las promesas hechas a nuestros antepasados,

9 b ut that the Gentiles glorify God by mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess thee among the Gentiles and sing unto thy name.

y para que los que no son judíos glorifiquen a Dios por su misericordia, como está escrito: «Por tanto, yo te confesaré entre las naciones, Y cantaré salmos a tu nombre.»

10 A nd again he says, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

Y en otra parte dice: «Alégrense, naciones, con su pueblo.»

11 A nd again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and magnify him, all the peoples.

Y también dice: «Alaben al Señor todas las naciones, Y exáltenlo todos los pueblos.»

12 A nd again, Isaiah says, There shall be a root of Jesse and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles shall wait for salvation.

Y otra vez dice Isaías: «Se alzará la raíz de Yesé; se levantará a gobernar a las naciones, las cuales pondrán en él su esperanza.»

13 ¶ And believing, the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace that ye may abound in hope by the virtue of the Holy Spirit.

¡Que el Dios de la esperanza los llene de todo gozo y paz en la fe, para que rebosen de esperanza por el poder del Espíritu Santo!

14 ¶ But I am convinced regarding you, my brethren, that even without my exhortation ye are full of charity, full of all knowledge, so as to be able to admonish one another.

Estoy seguro, hermanos míos, de que ustedes mismos están llenos de bondad y de todo conocimiento, de tal manera que pueden amonestarse unos a otros.

15 N evertheless I have written, brethren, in part boldly, as admonishing you by the grace that is given to me of God,

Pero les he escrito con toda franqueza, como para hacerles recordar, por la gracia que Dios me ha dado,

16 b eing the minister of Jesus Christ, to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be well pleasing, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

para ser ministro de Jesucristo a los no judíos y ministrarles el evangelio de Dios, para que ellos sean una ofrenda agradable a Dios, santificada por el Espíritu Santo.

17 ¶ Therefore I have something to boast of in Christ Jesus, with regard to God.

Tengo, pues, de qué gloriarme en Cristo Jesús en lo que a Dios se refiere.

18 F or I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not wrought by me, unto the obedience of the Gentiles, with word and with deed,

Porque no me atrevería a contar sino lo que, de palabra y obra, Cristo ha hecho por medio de mí para la obediencia de los no judíos;

19 w ith power of signs and wonders, in virtue of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem and round about unto Illyricum, I have filled the entire area with the gospel of the Christ.

y esto mediante poderosas señales y prodigios, en el poder del Espíritu de Dios, de tal manera que desde Jerusalén y por los alrededores hasta Ilírico, todo lo he llenado del evangelio de Cristo.

20 A nd in this manner I preached this gospel, not where Christ had been named previously, not to build upon a foundation belonging to another,

Fue así como me esforcé a predicar el evangelio, no donde Cristo ya hubiera sido anunciado, para no edificar sobre fundamento ajeno,

21 b ut, as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see, and those that have not heard shall understand.

sino, como está escrito: «Aquellos a quienes nunca les fue anunciado acerca de él, verán; Y los que nunca han oído de él, entenderán.» Pablo se propone ir a Roma

22 ¶ For which reason I have even been hindered many times from coming to you.

Por esto muchas veces no me ha sido posible ir a visitarlos;

23 B ut now having more place in these parts and having a great desire these many years to come unto you,

pero como no me queda más tarea pendiente en estas regiones, y como desde hace muchos años deseo ir a verlos,

24 w hen I leave for Spain, I will come unto you; for I trust to see you on my journey and to be taken there by you, if first I may enjoy your company.

iré a visitarlos ahora que vaya a España. Espero verlos cuando pase por allá, y que me ayuden a continuar con mi viaje, luego de haber disfrutado de su compañía.

25 B ut now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

Pero ahora voy a Jerusalén para servir a los santos.

26 F or it has pleased those of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints who are in Jerusalem.

Macedonia y Acaya tuvieron a bien hacer una ofrenda para los pobres que hay entre los santos que están en Jerusalén,

27 I t has pleased them verily, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they should also minister unto them in carnal things.

pues les pareció que era lo correcto, y se sienten en deuda con ellos. Porque si los que no son judíos han sido hechos partícipes de las bendiciones espirituales, deben también compartir las bendiciones materiales.

28 S o that, when I have concluded this and have delivered unto them this fruit, I will come by you unto Spain.

Así que, cuando esto haya concluido y yo les haya entregado este fruto, pasaré a visitarlos de camino a España,

29 F or I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of the Christ.

y sé que, cuando los visite, llegaré con la abundante bendición del evangelio de Cristo.

30 ¶ But I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the charity of the Spirit, that ye help me with prayers to God for me,

Pero les ruego, hermanos, por nuestro Señor Jesucristo y por el amor del Espíritu, que me ayuden con sus oraciones a Dios por mí,

31 t hat I may be delivered from the disobedient in Judaea and that the offering of my service to the saints in Jerusalem may be accepted,

para que sea yo librado de los rebeldes que están en Judea, y que la ofrenda de mi servicio a los santos en Jerusalén sea agradable,

32 t hat I may come unto you with joy by the will of God and may be refreshed together with you.

para que, por la voluntad de Dios, llegue a ustedes gozoso y pueda descansar entre ustedes.

33 N ow the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Que el Dios de paz sea con todos ustedes. Amén.
