1 ¶ We then that are stronger ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not please ourselves.

Así que, nosotros los que somos fuertes, debemos sobrellevar las flaquezas de los débiles y no agradarnos a nosotros mismos.

2 L et each one of us please his neighbour in that which is good, unto edification.

Cada uno de nosotros agrade a su prójimo en lo que es bueno para su edificación.

3 F or the Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of those that reproached thee fell on me.

Pues ni aun Cristo se agradó a sí mismo; antes bien, como está escrito: Los vituperios de los que te injuriaban cayeron sobre mi.

4 F or the things that were written beforehand were written for our instruction that we, through patient endurance and through the comfort of the scriptures, might have hope.

Porque todo lo que fue escrito en tiempos pasados, para nuestra enseñanza se escribió, a fin de que por medio de la paciencia y del consuelo de las Escrituras tengamos esperanza.

5 ¶ Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be unanimous among yourselves according to Christ Jesus,

Y que el Dios de la paciencia y del consuelo os conceda tener el mismo sentir los unos para con los otros conforme a Cristo Jesús,

6 t hat ye may with one accord and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

para que unánimes, a una voz, glorifiquéis al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. El evangelio a los gentiles

7 ¶ Therefore bear one another, as the Christ also bore us, to the glory of God.

Por tanto, aceptaos los unos a los otros, como también Cristo nos aceptó para gloria de Dios.

8 N ow I say that Christ Jesus, was a minister of the circumcision, by the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers;

Pues os digo que Cristo se hizo servidor de la circuncisión para demostrar la verdad de Dios, para confirmar las promesas dadas a los padres,

9 b ut that the Gentiles glorify God by mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess thee among the Gentiles and sing unto thy name.

y para que los gentiles glorifiquen a Dios por su misericordia; como está escrito: Por tanto, te confesare entre los gentiles, y a tu nombre cantare.

10 A nd again he says, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

Y vuelve a decir: Regocijaos, gentiles, con su pueblo.

11 A nd again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and magnify him, all the peoples.

Y de nuevo: Alabad al Señor todos los gentiles, y alabenle todos los pueblos.

12 A nd again, Isaiah says, There shall be a root of Jesse and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles shall wait for salvation.

Y a su vez, Isaías dice: Retoñara la raiz de Isai, el que se levanta a regir a los gentiles; los gentiles pondran en El su esperanza.

13 ¶ And believing, the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace that ye may abound in hope by the virtue of the Holy Spirit.

Y el Dios de la esperanza os llene de todo gozo y paz en el creer, para que abundéis en esperanza por el poder del Espíritu Santo.

14 ¶ But I am convinced regarding you, my brethren, that even without my exhortation ye are full of charity, full of all knowledge, so as to be able to admonish one another.

En cuanto a vosotros, hermanos míos, yo mismo estoy también convencido de que vosotros estáis llenos de bondad, llenos de todo conocimiento y capaces también de amonestaros los unos a los otros.

15 N evertheless I have written, brethren, in part boldly, as admonishing you by the grace that is given to me of God,

Pero os he escrito con atrevimiento sobre algunas cosas, para así hacer que las recordéis otra vez, por la gracia que me fue dada por Dios,

16 b eing the minister of Jesus Christ, to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be well pleasing, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

para ser ministro de Cristo Jesús a los gentiles, ministrando a manera de sacerdote el evangelio de Dios, a fin de que la ofrenda que hago de los gentiles sea aceptable, santificada por el Espíritu Santo.

17 ¶ Therefore I have something to boast of in Christ Jesus, with regard to God.

Por tanto, en Cristo Jesús he hallado razón para gloriarme en las cosas que se refieren a Dios.

18 F or I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not wrought by me, unto the obedience of the Gentiles, with word and with deed,

Porque no me atreveré a hablar de nada sino de lo que Cristo ha hecho por medio de mí para la obediencia de los gentiles, en palabra y en obra,

19 w ith power of signs and wonders, in virtue of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem and round about unto Illyricum, I have filled the entire area with the gospel of the Christ.

con el poder de señales y prodigios, en el poder del Espíritu de Dios; de manera que desde Jerusalén y por los alrededores hasta el Ilírico he predicado en toda su plenitud el evangelio de Cristo.

20 A nd in this manner I preached this gospel, not where Christ had been named previously, not to build upon a foundation belonging to another,

De esta manera me esforcé en anunciar el evangelio, no donde Cristo ya era conocido, para no edificar sobre el fundamento de otro;

21 b ut, as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see, and those that have not heard shall understand.

sino como está escrito: Aquellos a quienes nunca les fue anunciado acerca de El, veran, y los que no han oido, entenderan. Anhelo de Pablo de visitar Roma

22 ¶ For which reason I have even been hindered many times from coming to you.

Por esta razón muchas veces me he visto impedido de ir a vosotros,

23 B ut now having more place in these parts and having a great desire these many years to come unto you,

pero ahora, no quedando ya más lugares para mí en estas regiones, y puesto que por muchos años he tenido un gran deseo de ir a vosotros,

24 w hen I leave for Spain, I will come unto you; for I trust to see you on my journey and to be taken there by you, if first I may enjoy your company.

cuando vaya a España iré a vosotros. Porque espero veros al pasar y que me ayudéis a continuar hacia allá, después de que haya disfrutado un poco de vuestra compañía.

25 B ut now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

Pero ahora voy a Jerusalén para el servicio de los santos,

26 F or it has pleased those of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints who are in Jerusalem.

pues Macedonia y Acaya han tenido a bien hacer una colecta para los pobres de entre los santos que están en Jerusalén.

27 I t has pleased them verily, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they should also minister unto them in carnal things.

Sí, tuvieron a bien hacerlo, y a la verdad que están en deuda con ellos. Porque si los gentiles han participado de sus bienes espirituales, también están obligados a servir a los santos en los bienes materiales.

28 S o that, when I have concluded this and have delivered unto them this fruit, I will come by you unto Spain.

Así que cuando haya cumplido esto y les haya entregado esta ofrenda, iré a España llegando de paso a ver os.

29 F or I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of the Christ.

Y sé que cuando vaya a vosotros, iré en la plenitud de la bendición de Cristo.

30 ¶ But I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the charity of the Spirit, that ye help me with prayers to God for me,

Os ruego, hermanos, por nuestro Señor Jesucristo y por el amor del Espíritu, que os esforcéis juntamente conmigo en vuestras oraciones a Dios por mí,

31 t hat I may be delivered from the disobedient in Judaea and that the offering of my service to the saints in Jerusalem may be accepted,

para que sea librado de los que son desobedientes en Judea, y que mi servicio a Jerusalén sea aceptable a los santos,

32 t hat I may come unto you with joy by the will of God and may be refreshed together with you.

y para que con gozo llegue a vosotros por la voluntad de Dios, y encuentre confortante reposo con vosotros.

33 N ow the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

El Dios de paz sea con todos vosotros. Amén.
