1 ¶ And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!

Cuando salía del templo, uno de sus discípulos le dijo: Maestro, ¡mira qué piedras y qué edificios!

2 A nd Jesus, answering, said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? There shall not be left one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down.

Y Jesús le dijo: ¿Ves estos grandes edificios? No quedará piedra sobre piedra que no sea derribada. Señales antes del fin

3 A nd as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

Y estando El sentado en el monte de los Olivos, frente al templo, Pedro, Jacobo, Juan y Andrés le preguntaban en privado:

4 T ell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all things are to be finished?

Dinos, ¿cuándo sucederá esto, y qué señal habrá cuando todas estas cosas se hayan de cumplir?

5 ¶ And Jesus, answering them, began to say, Take heed that no one deceive you,

Y Jesús comenzó a decirles: Mirad que nadie os engañe.

6 f or many shall come in my name, saying, I Am Christ, and shall deceive many.

Muchos vendrán en mi nombre diciendo: “Yo soy el Cristo ”, y engañarán a muchos.

7 A nd when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled, for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

Y cuando oigáis de guerras y de rumores de guerras, no os alarméis; es necesario que todo esto suceda, pero todavía no es el fin.

8 F or people shall rise against people and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be earthquakes in each place, and there shall be famines and troubles: these shall be the beginnings of sorrows.

Porque se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino; y habrá terremotos en diversos lugares; y habrá hambres. Esto sólo es el comienzo de dolores.

9 B ut take heed to yourselves, for they shall deliver you up in the councils, and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten; and ye shall be called before rulers and kings for my sake for a testimony unto them.

Pero estad alerta; porque os entregarán a los tribunales y seréis azotados en las sinagogas, y compareceréis delante de gobernadores y reyes por mi causa, para testimonio a ellos.

10 A nd the gospel needs to be preached unto all the Gentiles first.

Pero primero el evangelio debe ser predicado a todas las naciones.

11 B ut when they shall bring you to deliver you up, do not premeditate beforehand what ye shall speak, neither think ye regarding it, but whatever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye, for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

Y cuando os lleven y os entreguen, no os preocupéis de antemano por lo que vais a decir, sino que lo que os sea dado en aquella hora, eso hablad; porque no sois vosotros los que habláis, sino el Espíritu Santo.

12 N ow the brother shall deliver the brother unto death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents and shall kill them.

Y el hermano entregará a la muerte al hermano, y el padre al hijo; y los hijos se levantarán contra los padres, y les causarán la muerte.

13 A nd ye shall be hated by everyone for my name, but he that shall persevere unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Y seréis odiados de todos por causa de mi nombre, pero el que persevere hasta el fin, ése será salvo. La abominación de la desolación

14 ¶ But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation (spoken of by Daniel the prophet) standing where it ought not, he that reads, let him understand, then let those that are in Judaea flee to the mountains;

Mas cuando veáis la abominacion de la desolacion puesta donde no debe estar (el que lea, que entienda), entonces los que estén en Judea huyan a los montes;

15 a nd let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein to take any thing out of his house;

y el que esté en la azotea, no baje ni entre a sacar nada de su casa;

16 a nd let him that is in the field not turn back again even to take up his garment.

y el que esté en el campo, no vuelva atrás a tomar su capa.

17 B ut woe to those that are with child and to those that give suck in those days!

Pero, ¡ay de las que estén encinta y de las que estén criando en aquellos días!

18 P ray, therefore, that your flight not be in winter.

Orad para que esto no suceda en el invierno.

19 F or those days shall be of affliction such as never was from the beginning of the creation of the things which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

Porque aquellos días serán de tribulación, tal como no ha acontecido desde el principio de la creación que hizo Dios hasta ahora, ni acontecerá jamás.

20 A nd except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved, but for the elect’s sake, whom he has chosen, he has shortened those days.

Y si el Señor no hubiera acortado aquellos días, nadie se salvaría; pero por causa de los escogidos que El eligió, acortó los días.

21 A nd then if anyone should say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or, Behold, he is there, do not believe him;

Entonces, si alguno os dice: “Mirad, aquí está el Cristo ”, o: “Mirad, allí está ”, no le creáis.

22 f or false Christs and false prophets shall rise and shall show signs and wonders to seduce, if possible, even the elect.

Porque se levantarán falsos Cristos y falsos profetas, y mostrarán señales y prodigios a fin de extraviar, de ser posible, a los escogidos.

23 B ut take ye heed; behold, I have told you everything beforehand.

Mas vosotros, estad alerta; ved que os lo he dicho todo de antemano. La venida del Hijo del Hombre

24 ¶ But in those days after that affliction, the sun shall darken, and the moon shall not give her light,

Pero en aquellos días, después de esa tribulación, el sol se oscurecera y la luna no dara su luz,

25 a nd the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens shall be shaken.

las estrellas iran cayendo del cielo y las potencias que están en los cielos serán sacudidas.

26 A nd then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

Entonces verán al Hijo del Hombre que viene en las nubes con gran poder y gloria.

27 A nd then shall he send his angels and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth unto the uttermost part of the heaven.

Y entonces enviará a los ángeles, y reunirá a sus escogidos de los cuatro vientos, desde el extremo de la tierra hasta el extremo del cielo. Parábola de la higuera

28 ¶ Learn the similitude from the fig tree: When her branch is yet tender and puts forth leaves, ye know that summer is near;

De la higuera aprended la parábola: cuando su rama ya se pone tierna y echa las hojas, sabéis que el verano está cerca.

29 s o ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is near, even at the doors.

Así también vosotros, cuando veáis que suceden estas cosas, sabed que El está cerca, a las puertas.

30 V erily I say unto you that this generation shall not pass until all these things are done.

En verdad os digo que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo esto suceda.

31 H eaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

El cielo y la tierra pasarán, mas mis palabras no pasarán.

32 B ut of that day and that hour no one knows, no, not even the angels who are in the heaven, neither the Son, but only the Father.

Pero de aquel día o de aquella hora nadie sabe, ni siquiera los ángeles en el cielo, ni el Hijo, sino sólo el Padre. Exhortación a velar

33 T ake ye heed, watch and pray; for ye know not when the time shall be.

Estad alerta, velad; porque no sabéis cuándo es el tiempo señalado.

34 A s the man who, taking a far journey, left his house and gave his estate to his slaves and to each one his responsibility and commanded the porter to watch.

Es como un hombre que se fue de viaje, y al salir de su casa dejó a sus siervos encargados, asignándole a cada uno su tarea, y ordenó al portero que estuviera alerta.

35 W atch ye therefore, for ye know not when the Lord of the house comes: at evening or at midnight or at the cockcrowing or in the morning,

Por tanto, velad, porque no sabéis cuándo viene el señor de la casa, si al atardecer, o a la medianoche, o al canto del gallo, o al amanecer;

36 l est coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

no sea que venga de repente y os halle dormidos.

37 A nd what I say unto you, I say unto all: Watch.

Y lo que a vosotros digo, a todos lo digo: ¡Velad!
