1 ¶ Now regarding spiritual things, brothers, I would not have you ignore them.

En cuanto a los dones espirituales, no quiero, hermanos, que seáis ignorantes.

2 Y e know that when ye were Gentiles, ye went, even as ye were led, unto the dumb idols.

Sabéis que cuando erais paganos, de una manera u otra erais arrastrados hacia los ídolos mudos.

3 T herefore I give you to understand, that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus anathema and that no one can call Jesus Lord but by the Holy Spirit.

Por tanto, os hago saber que nadie hablando por el Espíritu de Dios, dice: Jesús es anatema; y nadie puede decir: Jesús es el Señor, excepto por el Espíritu Santo. Diversidad y unidad de los dones

4 N ow there is dispersal of gifts, but the same Spirit.

Ahora bien, hay diversidad de dones, pero el Espíritu es el mismo.

5 A nd there is dispersal of ministries, but the same Lord.

Y hay diversidad de ministerios, pero el Señor es el mismo.

6 A nd there is dispersal of operations, but it is the same God who works all in each one.

Y hay diversidad de operaciones, pero es el mismo Dios el que hace todas las cosas en todos.

7 B ut the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one to profit with.

Pero a cada uno se le da la manifestación del Espíritu para el bien común.

8 F or to one is given by the Spirit a word of wisdom; to another, a word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;

Pues a uno le es dada palabra de sabiduría por el Espíritu; a otro, palabra de conocimiento según el mismo Espíritu;

9 t o another, faith by the same Spirit; to another, gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

a otro, fe por el mismo Espíritu; a otro, dones de sanidad por el único Espíritu;

10 t o another, the operation of miracles; to another, prophecy; to another, discerning of spirits; to another, different kinds of tongues; to another, the interpretation of tongues:

a otro, poder de milagros; a otro, profecía; a otro, discernimiento de espíritus; a otro, diversas clases de lenguas, y a otro, interpretación de lenguas.

11 o ne and the same Spirit operates all these things, dispersing to each one his own gift as he wills.

Pero todas estas cosas las hace uno y el mismo Espíritu, distribuyendo individualmente a cada uno según la voluntad de El. La iglesia, cuerpo de Cristo

12 ¶ For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also the Christ.

Porque así como el cuerpo es uno, y tiene muchos miembros, pero todos los miembros del cuerpo, aunque son muchos, constituyen un solo cuerpo, así también es Cristo.

13 F or by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether we are Jews or Greeks, whether we are slaves or free, and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Pues por un mismo Espíritu todos fuimos bautizados en un solo cuerpo, ya judíos o griegos, ya esclavos o libres, y a todos se nos dio a beber del mismo Espíritu.

14 F or the body is not one member, but many.

Porque el cuerpo no es un solo miembro, sino muchos.

15 I f the foot shall say, Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body?

Si el pie dijera: Porque no soy mano, no soy parte del cuerpo, no por eso deja de ser parte del cuerpo.

16 A nd if the ear shall say, Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body?

Y si el oído dijera: Porque no soy ojo, no soy parte del cuerpo, no por eso deja de ser parte del cuerpo.

17 I f the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be?

Si todo el cuerpo fuera ojo, ¿qué sería del oído? Si todo fuera oído, ¿qué sería del olfato?

18 B ut now God has set the members each one of them in the body, as it has pleased him.

Ahora bien, Dios ha colocado a cada uno de los miembros en el cuerpo según le agradó.

19 A nd if they were all one member, where would the body be?

Y si todos fueran un solo miembro, ¿qué sería del cuerpo?

20 B ut now they are indeed many members, yet but one body.

Sin embargo, hay muchos miembros, pero un solo cuerpo.

21 A nd the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee; nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

Y el ojo no puede decir a la mano: No te necesito; ni tampoco la cabeza a los pies: No os necesito.

22 F or those members of the body, which seem to be weaker, are much more necessary;

Por el contrario, la verdad es que los miembros del cuerpo que parecen ser los más débiles, son los más necesarios;

23 a nd those members of the body which we think to be more vile, these we dress with more abundant honour; and those in us who are more indecent have more honesty.

y las partes del cuerpo que estimamos menos honrosas, a éstas las vestimos con más honra; de manera que las partes que consideramos más íntimas, reciben un trato más honroso,

24 F or those in us who are more honest need nothing, but God has ordered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that one which lacked,

ya que nuestras partes presentables no lo necesitan. Mas así formó Dios el cuerpo, dando mayor honra a la parte que carecía de ella,

25 t hat there should be no contradiction in the body, but that the members should have the same care one for another.

a fin de que en el cuerpo no haya división, sino que los miembros tengan el mismo cuidado unos por otros.

26 A nd if one member suffers, all the members suffer together; or if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice together.

Y si un miembro sufre, todos los miembros sufren con él; y si un miembro es honrado, todos los miembros se regocijan con él.

27 ¶ Now ye are the body of Christ and members in particular.

Ahora bien, vosotros sois el cuerpo de Cristo, y cada uno individualmente un miembro de él.

28 A nd God did set certain ones in the congregation: first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that faculties, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Y en la iglesia, Dios ha designado: primeramente, apóstoles; en segundo lugar, profetas; en tercer lugar, maestros; luego, milagros; después, dones de sanidad, ayudas, administraciones, diversas clases de lenguas.

29 A re all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? do all have faculties?

¿Acaso son todos apóstoles? ¿Acaso son todos profetas? ¿Acaso son todos maestros? ¿Acaso son todos obradores de milagros ?

30 D o all have gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

¿Acaso tienen todos dones de sanidad ? ¿Acaso hablan todos en lenguas? ¿Acaso interpretan todos ?

31 B ut earnestly pursue the best gifts, and yet I show unto you a more excellent way.

Mas desead ardientemente los mejores dones. Y aun yo os muestro un camino más excelente.
