1 ¶ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Y vino a mí la palabra del Señor, diciendo:

2 S on of man, set thy face against Gog in the land of Magog, prince of the capital of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy over him,

Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro hacia Gog, de la tierra de Magog, príncipe de Ros, Mesec y Tubal, y profetiza contra él,

3 a nd say, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Behold, I come unto thee, O Gog, prince of the capital of Meshech and Tubal;

y di: “Así dice el Señor Dios: ‘He aquí estoy contra ti, oh Gog, príncipe de Ros, Mesec y Tubal.

4 a nd I will break thee and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

‘Te haré dar vuelta, pondré garfios en tus quijadas y te sacaré con todo tu ejército, caballos y jinetes, todos ellos bien equipados; una gran compañía con pavés y escudo, todos ellos empuñando espada;

5 P ersia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them, all of them with shield and helmet:

Persia, Etiopía y Fut con ellos, todos con escudo y yelmo;

6 G omer and all his companies; the house of Togarmah that dwells to the sides of the north and all his companies and many peoples with thee.

Gomer con todas sus tropas, Bet-togarmá, de las partes remotas del norte, con todas sus tropas; muchos pueblos están contigo.

7 B e thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

‘Disponte y prepárate, tú y toda la multitud que se ha reunido alrededor tuyo, y sé para ellos guarda.

8 A fter many days thou shalt be visited; at the end of years thou shalt come to the land broken by the sword, gathered out of many peoples, to the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste; but she is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

‘Al cabo de muchos días recibirás órdenes; al fin de los años vendrás a la tierra recuperada de la espada, cuyos habitantes han sido recogidos de muchas naciones en los montes de Israel, que habían sido una desolación continua. Este pueblo fue sacado de entre las naciones y habitan seguros todos ellos.

9 T hou shalt ascend and come like a storm; thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy companies and many peoples with thee.

‘Tú subirás y vendrás como una tempestad; serás como una nube que cubre la tierra, tú y todas tus tropas, y muchos pueblos contigo.’

10 T hus hath the Lord GOD said: It shall also come to pass in that day, that words shall rise up in thy heart, and thou shalt conceive an evil thought:

“Así dice el Señor Dios: ‘Sucederá en aquel día que pensamientos vendrán a tu mente y concebirás un plan malvado,

11 a nd thou shalt say, I will go up against the land of unwalled villages; I will go against those that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

y dirás: “Subiré contra una tierra indefensa. Iré contra los que viven tranquilos, que habitan confiados, que habitan todos ellos sin murallas, sin cerrojos ni puertas;

12 t o take a spoil and to take a prey, to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited and upon the people that are gathered out of the Gentiles, who have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the navel of the land.

para tomar botín y para proceder al saqueo, para volver tu mano contra los lugares desolados, ahora poblados, y contra el pueblo reunido de entre las naciones, que ha adquirido ganado y posesiones, que habita en medio de la tierra.”

13 S heba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

‘Sabá y Dedán, y los mercaderes de Tarsis con todos sus pueblos te dirán: “¿Has venido para tomar botín? ¿Has reunido tu compañía para saquear, para llevar plata y oro, para llevar ganado y posesiones, para tomar gran botín ?”’”

14 ¶ Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog: Thus hath the Lord GOD said: In that time when my people of Israel shall dwell securely, shalt thou not know it?

Por tanto, profetiza, hijo de hombre, y di a Gog: “Así dice el Señor Dios: ‘En aquel día cuando mi pueblo Israel habite seguro, ¿no lo sabrás tú?

15 A nd thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many peoples with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

‘Vendrás de tu lugar de las partes remotas del norte, tú y mucha gente contigo, todos montados a caballo, una gran multitud y un poderoso ejército;

16 a nd thou shalt come up against my people of Israel as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be at the end of the days, and I will bring thee upon my land, that the Gentiles may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

y subirás contra mi pueblo Israel como una nube para cubrir la tierra. Sucederá en los postreros días que te traeré contra mi tierra, para que las naciones me conozcan cuando yo sea santificado por medio de ti ante sus ojos, oh Gog.’

17 T hus hath the Lord GOD said: Art thou not he of whom I have spoken in days past by my slaves the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those times that I would have to bring thee upon them?

“Así dice el Señor Dios: ‘¿Eres tú aquel de quien hablé en tiempos pasados por medio de mis siervos los profetas de Israel, que profetizaron en aquellos días, durante años, que yo te traería contra ellos ?

18 A nd it shall come to pass in that time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, said the Lord GOD, that my fury shall rise up in my anger.

‘Sucederá en aquel día cuando venga Gog contra la tierra de Israel’ —declara el Señor Dios — ‘que subirá mi furor y mi ira.

19 F or in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath I have spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking upon the land of Israel,

‘Y en mi celo y en el fuego de mi furor declaro que ciertamente en aquel día habrá un gran terremoto en la tierra de Israel.

20 s o that the fishes of the sea and the fowls of the heaven and the beasts of the field and every serpent that walks by dragging itself upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake before my presence, and the mountains shall be ruined, and the stairs shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

‘Y los peces del mar, las aves del cielo, las bestias del campo y todos los animales que se arrastran sobre la tierra, y todos los hombres sobre la faz de la tierra temblarán en mi presencia; también se derrumbarán los montes, se desplomarán los precipicios y todo muro caerá por tierra.

21 A nd I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, said the Lord GOD: each man’s sword shall be against his brother.

‘Y en todos mis montes llamaré contra él la espada ’ —declara el Señor Dios. ‘La espada de cada cual se volverá contra su hermano.

22 A nd I will litigate against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him and upon his companies and upon the many peoples that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

‘Con pestilencia y con sangre haré juicio contra él; haré caer una lluvia torrencial, de piedras de granizo, fuego y azufre sobre él, sobre sus tropas, y sobre los muchos pueblos que están con él.

23 A nd I will be magnified and sanctified, and I will be known in the eyes of many Gentiles, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

‘Y mostraré mi grandeza y santidad, y me daré a conocer a los ojos de muchas naciones; y sabrán que yo soy el Señor.’”
