1 ¶ Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

Muchas veces me han perseguido desde mi juventud, —diga ahora Israel —

2 M any a time have they afflicted me from my youth; yet they have not prevailed against me.

muchas veces me han perseguido desde mi juventud, pero no han prevalecido contra mí.

3 T he plowers plowed upon my back; they made long their furrows.

Sobre mis espaldas araron los aradores; alargaron sus surcos.

4 T he LORD is righteous; he has cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

El Señor es justo; ha cortado las coyundas de los impíos.

5 ¶ All those that hate Zion shall all be confounded and turned back.

Sean avergonzados y vueltos atrás todos los que odian a Sion.

6 T hey shall be as the grass upon the housetops, which withers before it grows up,

Sean como hierba en los techos, que se seca antes de crecer.

7 w ith which the reaper does not fill his hand nor he that binds sheaves his bosom.

Con la cual el segador no llena su mano, ni el recogedor de gavillas sus brazos.

8 N either did those who go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you; we bless you in the name of the LORD.

Y no les digan los que pasan: La bendición del Señor sea sobre vosotros; os bendecimos en el nombre del Señor.
