1 ¶ Again, David gathered together all the chosen of Israel, thirty thousand.

Volvió David a reunir a todos los hombres escogidos de Israel, treinta mil.

2 A nd David arose and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah to bring up from there the ark of God upon which the name of the LORD of the hosts is invoked, who dwells there between the cherubim.

Y David se levantó y fue con todo el pueblo que estaba con él a Baala de Judá, para hacer subir desde allí el arca de Dios, la cual es llamada por el Nombre, el nombre del Señor de los ejércitos, que está sobre los querubines.

3 A nd they set the ark of God upon a new cart and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah, and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab drove the new cart.

Pusieron el arca de Dios sobre un carro nuevo, para que la pudieran llevar de la casa de Abinadab que estaba en la colina. Uza y Ahío, hijos de Abinadab, guiaban el carro nuevo.

4 A nd when they brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was at Gibeah, with the ark of God, Ahio went before the ark.

Y lo llevaron con el arca de Dios de la casa de Abinadab que estaba en la colina, y Ahío iba delante del arca.

5 A nd David and all the house of Israel danced before the LORD with all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps and on psalteries and on timbrels and on cornets and on cymbals.

David y toda la casa de Israel se regocijaban delante del Señor con toda clase de instrumentos hechos de madera de abeto, y con liras, arpas, panderos, castañuelas y címbalos.

6 ¶ And when they came to Nachon’s threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen shook it.

Pero cuando llegaron a la era de Nacón, Uza extendió la mano hacia el arca de Dios, y la sostuvo porque los bueyes casi la volcaron.

7 A nd the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah, and God smote him there for his effrontery, and there he died by the ark of God.

Y se encendió la ira del Señor contra Uza, y Dios lo hirió allí por su irreverencia; y allí murió junto al arca de Dios.

8 A nd David was grieved because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah, and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.

Entonces David se enojó porque el Señor había estallado en ira contra Uza, y llamó aquel lugar Pérez-uza hasta el día de hoy.

9 A nd David was afraid of the LORD that day and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?

David tuvo temor del Señor aquel día, y dijo: ¿Cómo podrá venir a mí el arca del Señor ?

10 S o David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David, but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom, the Gittite.

Y David no quiso trasladar el arca del Señor con él a la ciudad de David, sino que la hizo llevar a la casa de Obed-edom geteo.

11 A nd the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months; and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.

Por tres meses permaneció el arca del Señor en la casa de Obed-edom geteo; y bendijo el Señor a Obed-edom y a toda su casa.

12 ¶ And it was told King David, saying, The LORD has blessed the house of Obededom and all that pertains unto him because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.

Y se dio aviso al rey David, diciéndo le: El Señor ha bendecido la casa de Obed-edom y todo lo que le pertenece a causa del arca de Dios. Entonces David fue, y con alegría hizo subir el arca de Dios de la casa de Obed-edom a la ciudad de David.

13 A nd it was so that when those that bore the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.

Y sucedió que cuando los portadores del arca del Señor habían andado seis pasos, él sacrificó un buey y un carnero cebado.

14 A nd David danced before the LORD with all his might, and David was girded with a linen ephod.

David danzaba con toda su fuerza delante del Señor, y estaba vestido con un efod de lino.

15 S o David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting and with the sound of the shofar.

David y toda la casa de Israel hacían subir el arca del Señor con aclamación y sonido de trompeta.

16 A nd as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, and she despised him in her heart.

Sucedió que cuando el arca del Señor entraba a la ciudad de David, Mical, hija de Saúl, miró desde la ventana y vio al rey David saltando y danzando delante del Señor, y lo menospreció en su corazón.

17 A nd they brought in the ark of the LORD and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it, and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.

Metieron el arca del Señor y la colocaron en su lugar dentro de la tienda que David había levantado para ella, y David ofreció holocaustos y ofrendas de paz delante del Señor.

18 A nd as soon as David had finished offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of the hosts.

Cuando David terminó de ofrecer el holocausto y las ofrendas de paz, bendijo al pueblo en el nombre del Señor de los ejércitos.

19 A nd he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, to the men as well to the women, to each one a cake of bread and a good piece of flesh and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed each one to his house.

Después repartió a todo el pueblo, a toda la multitud de Israel, tanto a hombres como a mujeres, una torta de pan, una de dátiles y una de pasas a cada uno. Entonces todo el pueblo se fue, cada uno a su casa.

20 ¶ Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal, the daughter of Saul came out to meet David and said, How glorious was the king of Israel today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of the handmaids of his slaves as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!

Pero al regresar David para bendecir su casa, Mical, hija de Saúl, salió al encuentro de David, y le dijo: ¡Cómo se ha distinguido hoy el rey de Israel! Se descubrió hoy ante los ojos de las criadas de sus siervos, como se descubriría sin decoro un insensato.

21 T hen David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, who chose me over thy father and over all his house to appoint me prince over the people of the LORD, over Israel; therefore, I will dance before the LORD.

Y David dijo a Mical: Eso fue delante del Señor que me escogió en preferencia a tu padre y a toda su casa para constituirme por príncipe sobre el pueblo del Señor, sobre Israel. Por tanto, lo celebraré delante del Señor.

22 A nd I will yet be more vile than thus and will be base in my own sight and before the maidservants whom thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.

Y aún seré menos estimado que esto, y seré humillado ante mis propios ojos, pero con las criadas de quienes has hablado, ante ellas seré honrado.

23 T herefore, Michal, the daughter of Saul, had no children unto the day of her death.

Y Mical, hija de Saúl, no tuvo hijos hasta el día de su muerte.
