1 ¶ And Moses went and spoke these words unto all Israel,

Fue Moisés y habló estas palabras a todo Israel,

2 a nd he said unto them, I am one hundred and twenty years old today; I can no longer go out and come in; also the LORD has said unto me, Thou shalt not pass this Jordan.

y les dijo: Hoy tengo ciento veinte años; ya no puedo ir ni venir, y el Señor me ha dicho: “No pasarás este Jordán.”

3 T he LORD thy God, he will pass in front of thee, and he will destroy these Gentiles from before thee, and thou shalt inherit them; Joshua shall be the one who shall pass before thee, as the LORD has said.

El Señor tu Dios pasará delante de ti; El destruirá estas naciones delante de ti y las desalojarás. Josué es el que pasará delante de ti, tal como el Señor ha dicho.

4 A nd the LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them whom he destroyed.

Y el Señor hará con ellos como hizo con Sehón y con Og, reyes de los amorreos, y con su tierra cuando El los destruyó.

5 A nd the LORD shall give them up before your face that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.

Y los entregará el Señor delante de vosotros y haréis con ellos conforme a los mandamientos que os he ordenado.

6 B e strong and of a good courage; fear not, nor be afraid of them, for the LORD thy God is he that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee nor forsake thee.

Sed firmes y valientes, no temáis ni os aterroricéis ante ellos, porque el Señor tu Dios es el que va contigo; no te dejará ni te desamparará.

7 A nd Moses called unto Joshua and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage, for thou shalt enter in with this people to the land which the LORD has sworn unto their fathers to give them, and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.

Entonces llamó Moisés a Josué y le dijo en presencia de todo Israel: Sé firme y valiente, porque tú entrarás con este pueblo en la tierra que el Señor ha jurado a sus padres que les daría, y se la darás en heredad.

8 A nd the LORD is he that doth go before thee; he will be with thee; he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee; fear not, neither be dismayed.

El Señor irá delante de ti; El estará contigo, no te dejará ni te desamparará; no temas ni te acobardes. Ultimas disposiciones de Moisés

9 ¶ And Moses wrote this law and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.

Y escribió Moisés esta ley y la dio a los sacerdotes, hijos de Leví, que llevaban el arca del pacto del Señor, y a todos los ancianos de Israel.

10 A nd Moses commanded them, saying, At the beginning of the seventh year, in the appointed time of the year of release, in the feast of the tabernacles,

Entonces Moisés les ordenó, diciendo: Al fin de cada siete años, durante el tiempo del año de la remisión de deudas, en la fiesta de los tabernáculos,

11 w hen all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.

cuando todo Israel venga a presentarse delante del Señor tu Dios en el lugar que El escoja, leerás esta ley delante de todo Israel, a oídos de ellos.

12 G ather the people together, men and women and children and thy strangers that are within thy gates, that they may hear and that they may learn and fear the LORD your God and observe to do all the words of this law,

Congrega al pueblo, hombres, mujeres y niños, y al forastero que está en tu ciudad, para que escuchen, aprendan a temer al Señor tu Dios, y cuiden de observar todas las palabras de esta ley.

13 a nd that their children, who have not known any thing, may hear and learn to fear the LORD your God all the days that ye live in the land unto which ye are to pass the Jordan to inherit it.

Y sus hijos, que no la conocen, la oirán y aprenderán a temer al Señor vuestro Dios, mientras viváis en la tierra adonde vosotros vais, cruzando al otro lado del Jordán para poseerla.

14 ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thy days are fulfilled that thou must die; call Joshua and wait in the tabernacle of the testimony that I may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went and waited in the tabernacle of the testimony.

Entonces dijo el Señor a Moisés: He aquí, el tiempo de tu muerte está cerca; llama a Josué y presentaos en la tienda de reunión para que yo le dé mis órdenes. Fueron, pues, Moisés y Josué y se presentaron en la tienda de reunión.

15 A nd the LORD appeared in the tabernacle in the pillar of cloud, and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle.

Y se apareció el Señor en la tienda en una columna de nube, y la columna de nube se puso a la entrada de la tienda.

16 A nd the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, and this people shall rise up and fornicate after the gods of the strangers of the land where they go when they shall be among them and will forsake me and break my covenant which I have made with them.

Y el Señor dijo a Moisés: He aquí, tú vas a dormir con tus padres; y este pueblo se levantará y fornicará tras los dioses extranjeros de la tierra en la cual va a entrar, y me dejará y quebrantará mi pacto que hice con él.

17 T hen my anger shall be kindled against them in that same day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?

Y se encenderá mi ira contra él en aquel día; los abandonaré y esconderé mi rostro de ellos. Será consumido, y muchos males y tribulaciones vendrán sobre él, por lo que dirá en aquel día: “¿No será porque mi Dios no está en medio de mí que me han alcanzado estos males ?”

18 B ut I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.

Pero ciertamente esconderé mi rostro en aquel día por todo el mal que habrá hecho, pues se volverá a otros dioses.

19 N ow therefore write ye this song for you and teach it to the sons of Israel; put it in their mouths that this song may be a witness for me against the sons of Israel.

Ahora pues, escribid este cántico para vosotros, y tú, enséñaselo a los hijos de Israel; ponlo en su boca, para que este cántico me sea por testigo contra los hijos de Israel.

20 F or I shall bring them into the land which I swore unto their fathers, that flows with milk and honey, and they shall eat and fill themselves and wax fat; then they will turn unto other gods and serve them and provoke me and break my covenant.

Porque cuando yo los introduzca en la tierra que mana leche y miel, la cual juré a sus padres, y ellos coman y se sacien y prosperen, se volverán a otros dioses y los servirán, y me despreciarán y quebrantarán mi pacto.

21 A nd it shall come to pass when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall reply to them in their face as a witness, for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed; for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.

Sucederá entonces que cuando muchos males y tribulaciones vengan sobre ellos, este cántico declarará contra ellos como testigo (pues no lo olvidarán los labios de sus descendientes ); porque yo conozco el plan que ahora están urdiendo antes de que los traiga a la tierra que juré darles.

22 ¶ Moses therefore wrote this song the same day and taught it to the sons of Israel.

Y escribió Moisés este cántico aquel mismo día, y lo enseñó a los hijos de Israel.

23 A nd he gave Joshua, the son of Nun, a charge and said, Be strong and of a good courage for thou shalt bring the sons of Israel into the land which I swore unto them, and I will be with thee.

Entonces El nombró a Josué, hijo de Nun, y le dijo: Sé fuerte y valiente, pues tú llevarás a los hijos de Israel a la tierra que les he jurado, y yo estaré contigo. La ley se coloca junto al arca

24 A nd it came to pass when Moses had finished writing the words of this law in the book until they were finished,

Y sucedió que cuando Moisés terminó de escribir las palabras de esta ley en un libro, hasta su conclusión,

25 t hat Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,

Moisés ordenó a los levitas que llevaban el arca del pacto del Señor, diciendo:

26 T ake this book of the law and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God that it may be there for a witness against thee.

Tomad este libro de la ley y colocadlo junto al arca del pacto del Señor vuestro Dios, para que permanezca allí como testigo contra vosotros.

27 F or I know thy rebellion and thy stiff neck; behold, while I am yet alive with you today, ye are rebels against the LORD, and how much more after my death?

Porque conozco vuestra rebelión y vuestra obstinación; he aquí, estando yo hoy todavía vivo con vosotros, habéis sido rebeldes contra el Señor; ¿cuánto más lo seréis después de mi muerte?

28 G ather unto me all the elders of your tribes and your officers, and I shall speak these words in their ears and call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against them.

Reunid ante mí a todos los ancianos de vuestras tribus y a vuestros oficiales, para que hable estas palabras a sus oídos, y ponga a los cielos y a la tierra como testigos en su contra.

29 F or I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days because ye will have done evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.

Porque yo sé que después de mi muerte os corromperéis y os apartaréis del camino que os he mandado; y el mal vendrá sobre vosotros en los postreros días, pues haréis lo que es malo a la vista del Señor, provocándole a ira con la obra de vuestras manos.

30 T hen Moses spoke in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song until they were ended.

Entonces habló Moisés a oídos de toda la asamblea de Israel las palabras de este cántico hasta terminarlas.
