1 ¶ And cause Aaron, thy brother, to come unto thee with his sons, from among the sons of Israel, that they may be my priests, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons.

Entonces harás que se acerque a ti, de entre los hijos de Israel, tu hermano Aarón, y con él sus hijos, para que me sirvan como sacerdotes: Aarón, con Nadab y Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar, hijos de Aarón.

2 A nd thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron, thy brother, for honour and for beauty.

Y harás vestiduras sagradas para tu hermano Aarón, para gloria y para hermosura.

3 A nd thou shalt speak unto all that are wise-hearted, whom I have filled with the Spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to sanctify him, that he may be my priest.

Y hablarás a todos los hábiles artífices, a quienes yo he llenado de espíritu de sabiduría, y ellos harán las vestiduras de Aarón para consagrarlo, a fin de que me sirva como sacerdote.

4 A nd these are the garments which they shall make: the pectoral, the ephod, the robe, the broidered coat, the mitre, and the girdle. Therefore let them make the holy garments for Aaron, thy brother, and his sons, that they may be my priests.

Estas son las vestiduras que harán: un pectoral, un efod, un manto, una túnica tejida a cuadros, una tiara y un cinturón; y harán vestiduras sagradas para tu hermano Aarón y para sus hijos, a fin de que me sirvan como sacerdotes.

5 A nd they shall take gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine linen,

Y tomarán para ello el oro y la tela azul, púrpura y escarlata, y el lino fino.

6 ¶ and they shall make the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.

Harán también el efod de oro, de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata y de lino fino torcido, obra de hábil artífice.

7 I t shall have its two shoulderpieces joined at the two edges thereof, and so it shall be joined together.

Tendrá dos hombreras que se junten a sus dos extremos, para que se pueda unir.

8 A nd the special girdle of the ephod, which shall be over it, shall be of its same workmanship, of the same materials: of gold, blue, purple, scarlet and fine twined linen.

Y el cinto hábilmente tejido que estará sobre él, será de la misma obra, del mismo material: de oro, de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata y de lino fino torcido.

9 A nd thou shalt take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel:

Y tomarás dos piedras de ónice, y grabarás en ellas los nombres de los hijos de Israel:

10 S ix of their names on one stone and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.

seis de los nombres en una piedra, y los seis nombres restantes en la otra piedra, según el orden de su nacimiento.

11 W ith the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a seal, shalt thou engrave those two stones with the names of the sons of Israel; thou shalt make them to be set in settings of gold.

Así como un joyero graba un sello, tú grabarás las dos piedras con los nombres de los hijos de Israel; las engastarás en filigrana de oro.

12 A nd thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the sons of Israel, and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

Y pondrás las dos piedras en las hombreras del efod, como piedras memoriales para los hijos de Israel, y Aarón llevará sus nombres delante del Señor sobre sus dos hombros por memorial.

13 A nd thou shalt make the settings of gold

Harás engastes de filigrana de oro,

14 a nd two small chains of pure gold; of wreathen work shalt thou make them and fasten the wreathen chains to the settings.

y dos cadenillas de oro puro; las harás en forma de cordones trenzados, y pondrás las cadenillas trenzadas en los engastes de filigrana.

15 ¶ And in the same manner thou shalt make the pectoral of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it, of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and of fine twined linen.

Y harás el pectoral del juicio, obra de hábil artífice; lo harás como la obra del efod: de oro, de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata y de lino fino torcido lo harás.

16 I t shall be square and double; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof.

Será cuadrado y doble, de un palmo de largo y un palmo de ancho.

17 A nd thou shalt fill it with four rows of stones; The order shall be a ruby, an emerald, and a chrysolite; this shall be the first order.

Y montarás en él cuatro hileras de piedras. La primera hilera será una hilera de un rubí, un topacio y una esmeralda;

18 A nd the second order shall be a carbuncle, a sapphire, and a diamond.

la segunda hilera, una turquesa, un zafiro y un diamante;

19 A nd the third order, a topaz, a turquoise, and an amethyst.

la tercera hilera, un jacinto, una ágata y una amatista;

20 A nd the fourth row a tarshish (or beryl) and an onyx and a jasper; they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.

y la cuarta hilera, un berilo, un ónice y un jaspe; todas estarán engastadas en filigrana de oro.

21 A nd those stones shall be in agreement with the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, in agreement with their names; each one in agreement with his name like the engravings of a seal; they shall be according to the twelve tribes.

Las piedras serán doce, según los nombres de los hijos de Israel, conforme a sus nombres; serán como las grabaduras de un sello, cada uno según su nombre para las doce tribus.

22 A nd thou shalt also make upon the pectoral small chains of wreathen work of pure gold.

Y harás en el pectoral cadenillas de oro puro en forma de cordones trenzados.

23 A nd thou shalt make upon the pectoral two rings of gold and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the pectoral.

Harás también en el pectoral dos anillos de oro, y colocarás los dos anillos en los dos extremos del pectoral.

24 A nd thou shalt put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the pectoral.

Pondrás los dos cordones de oro en los dos anillos en los extremos del pectoral.

25 A nd the other two ends of the two wreathen chains thou shalt fasten in the two settings and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod on the front of it.

Y colocarás los otros dos extremos de los dos cordones en los engastes de filigrana, y los fijarás en las hombreras del efod, en su parte delantera.

26 T hou shalt also make two rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the pectoral in the border thereof, which is in the side of the ephod inward.

Harás otros dos anillos de oro y los pondrás en los dos extremos del pectoral, en el borde que da al lado interior del efod.

27 L ikewise two other rings of gold thou shalt make and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the front part thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the special girdle of the ephod.

Y harás otros dos anillos de oro y los pondrás en la parte inferior de las dos hombreras del efod, en la parte delantera, cerca de su unión sobre el cinto tejido del efod.

28 A nd they shall bind the pectoral by its rings unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the special girdle of the ephod and that the pectoral not be loosed from the ephod.

Atarán el pectoral por sus anillos a los anillos del efod con un cordón azul, para que esté sobre el cinto tejido del efod, y para que el pectoral no se desprenda del efod.

29 A nd Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel in the pectoral of judgment upon his heart when he goes in unto the sanctuary for a memorial before the LORD continually.

Y Aarón llevará los nombres de los hijos de Israel en el pectoral del juicio sobre su corazón cuando entre en el lugar santo, continuamente por memorial delante del Señor.

30 A nd thou shalt put in the pectoral of judgment Urim and Thummim, that they shall be upon Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the LORD; and Aaron shall always bear the judgment of the sons of Israel upon his heart before the LORD.

Pondrás en el pectoral del juicio el Urim y el Tumim, y estarán sobre el corazón de Aarón cuando entre a la presencia del Señor; y Aarón llevará continuamente el juicio de los hijos de Israel sobre su corazón delante del Señor.

31 ¶ And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.

Harás asimismo el manto del efod todo de tela azul.

32 A nd it shall have the collar of his head in the midst thereof, which shall have a binding of woven work round about it, as the collar of a habergeon, that it not be rent.

Y habrá una abertura en el medio de su parte superior; alrededor de la abertura habrá una orla tejida, como la abertura de una cota de malla, para que no se rompa.

33 A nd beneath upon the hem of it, thou shalt make pomegranates of blue and of purple and of scarlet round about the hem thereof and bells of gold between them round about.

Y harás en su borde inferior granadas de tela azul, púrpura y escarlata alrededor en todo su borde, y entre ellas, también alrededor, campanillas de oro:

34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate upon the hem of the robe round about.

una campanilla de oro y una granada, otra campanilla de oro y otra granada, y así alrededor de todo el borde del manto.

35 A nd it shall be upon Aaron to minister, and his sound shall be heard when he goes in unto the sanctuary before the LORD and when he comes out, that he not die.

Y estará sobre Aarón cuando ministre; y el tintineo se oirá cuando entre en el lugar santo delante del Señor, y cuando salga, para que no muera.

36 T hou shalt also make an open flower of pure gold and engrave upon it the engravings of a seal, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD.

Harás también una lámina de oro puro, y grabarás en ella, como las grabaduras de un sello: “ Santidad al Señor.”

37 A nd thou shalt put it on with a blue lace that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.

La fijarás en un cordón azul, y estará sobre la tiara; estará en la parte delantera de la tiara.

38 A nd it shall be upon Aaron’s forehead that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the sons of Israel shall sanctify in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead that they may find grace before the LORD.

Y estará sobre la frente de Aarón, y Aarón quitará la iniquidad de las cosas sagradas que los hijos de Israel consagren en todas sus ofrendas santas; y la lámina estará siempre sobre su frente, para que sean aceptas delante del Señor.

39 A nd thou shalt embroider the coat of fine linen, and thou shalt make the mitre of fine linen, and thou shalt make the girdle of needlework.

Tejerás a cuadros la túnica de lino fino, y harás una tiara de lino fino; harás también un cinturón, obra de un tejedor.

40 ¶ And for Aaron’s sons thou shalt make coats; thou shalt also make girdles for them, and tiaras shalt thou make for them, for honour and for beauty.

Para los hijos de Aarón harás túnicas, también les harás cinturones, y les harás mitras, para gloria y hermosura.

41 A nd with these thou shalt clothe Aaron, thy brother, and his sons with him and shalt anoint them and fill their hands and sanctify them that they may be my priests.

Y vestirás con ellos a tu hermano Aarón y a sus hijos con él; y los ungirás y ordenarás y consagrarás para que me sirvan como sacerdotes.

42 A nd thou shalt make them linen underwear to cover their nakedness; they shall reach from the loins even unto the thighs;

Les harás calzoncillos de lino para cubrir su desnudez; llegarán desde los lomos hasta los muslos.

43 A nd they shall be upon Aaron and upon his sons when they enter into the tabernacle of the testimony or when they come near unto the altar to serve in the sanctuary that they not bear iniquity and die: This shall be a perpetual statute unto him and his seed after him.

Y los llevarán puestos Aarón y sus hijos cuando entren en la tienda de reunión, o cuando se acerquen al altar para ministrar en el lugar santo, para que no incurran en culpa y mueran. Será estatuto perpetuo para él y para su descendencia después de él.
