1 ¶ Halelu-JAH. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

¡Aleluya! Oh alma mía, alaba al Señor.

2 I n my life I will praise the LORD; I will sing praises unto my God while I live.

Alabaré al Señor mientras yo viva; cantaré alabanzas a mi Dios mientras yo exista.

3 P ut not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man in whom there is no salvation.

No confiéis en príncipes, ni en hijo de hombre en quien no hay salvación.

4 H is spirit shall go forth, he shall return to his earth; in that very day all his thoughts shall perish.

Su espíritu exhala, él vuelve a la tierra; en ese mismo día perecen sus pensamientos.

5 ¶ Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God;

Bienaventurado aquel cuya ayuda es el Dios de Jacob, cuya esperanza está en el Señor su Dios,

6 w ho made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is therein; who keeps truth for ever:

que hizo los cielos y la tierra, el mar y todo lo que en ellos hay; que guarda la verdad para siempre;

7 H e who does justice unto the oppressed; who gives bread to the hungry. The LORD looses the prisoners:

que hace justicia a los oprimidos, y da pan a los hambrientos. El Señor pone en libertad a los cautivos.

8 T he LORD opens the eyes of the blind; the LORD raises those that are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous:

El Señor abre los ojos a los ciegos, el Señor levanta a los caídos, el Señor ama a los justos.

9 T he LORD preserves the strangers; he raises up the fatherless and widow; but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.

El Señor protege a los extranjeros, sostiene al huérfano y a la viuda, pero trastorna el camino de los impíos.

10 T he LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Halelu-JAH.

El Señor reinará para siempre, tu Dios, oh Sion, por todas las generaciones. ¡Aleluya!
