1 ¶ Aleph Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

A ti, Señor, elevo mi alma.

2 B eth O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me.

Eres mi Dios, y en ti confío; ¡no permitas que mis enemigos me avergüencen y se burlen de mí!

3 G imel Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed; those which rebel without cause shall be ashamed.

No permitas que sean avergonzados los que en ti ponen su esperanza; más bien, que sean puestos en vergüenza los que sin razón se rebelan contra ti.

4 D aleth Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

Señor, dame a conocer tus caminos; ¡Enséñame a seguir tus sendas!

5 H e Cause me to walk in thy truth and teach me: for thou art the God of my saving health; I have waited for thee all the day.

Todo el día espero en ti; ¡enséñame a caminar en tu verdad, pues tú eres mi Dios y salvador!

6 V au Remember, O LORD, thy compassion and thy mercies, for they have been ever of old.

Recuerda, Señor, que en todo tiempo me has mostrado tu amor y tu misericordia.

7 Z ain Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my rebellions; according to thy mercy remember me for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.

Tú, Señor, eres todo bondad. Por tu misericordia, acuérdate de mí; pero olvídate de que en mi juventud pequé y fui rebelde contra ti.

8 ¶ Cheth Good and upright is the LORD: therefore he will teach sinners in the way.

El Señor es bueno y recto; por eso enseña a los pecadores el camino.

9 T eth He will cause the humble to pass through the judgment, and the meek he will teach his way.

El Señor muestra su camino a los humildes, y los encamina en la justicia.

10 J od All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Misericordia y verdad son los caminos del Señor para quienes cumplen fielmente su pacto.

11 C aph For thy name’s sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity; for it is great.

Señor, muy grande es mi pecado, pero haz honor a tu nombre, y perdóname.

12 L amed Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

¿Quieres tú servir al Señor? Él te mostrará el mejor camino.

13 M em His soul shall rest in that which is good; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

Te hará disfrutar de bienestar, y tus descendientes heredarán la tierra.

14 N un The secret of the LORD is for those that fear him, and he will show them his covenant.

El Señor es amigo de quienes le temen, y confirma su pacto con ellos.

15 ¶ Samech Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD, for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

Señor, siempre dirijo a ti la mirada porque tú me libras de caer en la trampa.

16 A in Turn thee unto me and have mercy upon me, for I am desolate and afflicted.

Mírame, y ten compasión de mí, pues me encuentro solo y oprimido.

17 T zaddi The troubles of my heart are enlarged; O bring thou me out of my distresses.

Crece en mi corazón la angustia; ¡líbrame de esta congoja!

18 R esh Look upon my affliction and my pain and forgive all my sins.

¡Mira cómo sufro y me esfuerzo! ¡Perdóname todos mis pecados!

19 R esh Consider my enemies, for they are multiplied; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

¡Mira cómo aumentan mis adversarios, y cuán grande es su odio contra mí!

20 S chin O keep my soul and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in thee.

¡Sálvame! ¡Protégeme! ¡No me dejes quedar en vergüenza, pues en ti he puesto mi confianza!

21 T au Integrity and uprightness shall preserve me, for I have waited for thee.

¡Protege mi integridad y rectitud, pues en ti he puesto mi esperanza!

22 P e Ransom Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

¡Salva, oh Dios, a Israel de todas sus angustias!
