1 E gli mi condusse nuovamente all'ingresso del tempio, ed ecco delle acque uscivano da sotto la soglia del tempio verso est, perché la facciata del tempio guardava a est; le acque scendevano da sotto il lato destro del tempio, a sud dell'altare.

¶ Afterward he made me return to the entrance of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under towards the right side of the house, to the south side of the altar.

2 P oi mi condusse fuori attraverso la porta nord e mi fece girare di fuori fino alla porta esterna, che guarda a est, ed ecco, le acque sgorgavano dal lato destro.

Then he brought me out by the way of the north gate and led me by the way outside the gate, outside to the way that looks eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

3 L 'uomo avanzò verso est con una cordicella in mano e misurò mille cubiti, poi mi fece attraversare le acque: mi arrivavano alle caviglie.

And when the man went forth eastward, he had a line in his hand, and he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

4 M isurò altri mille cubiti, poi mi fece attraversare le acque: mi arrivavano alle ginocchia. Misurò altri mille cubiti, poi mi fece attraversare le acque: mi arrivavano ai fianchi.

Again he measured a thousand and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

5 M isurò altri mille cubiti: era un fiume che non potevo attraversare, perché le acque erano cresciute; erano acque nelle quali bisognava nuotare: un fiume che non si poteva attraversare.

Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over; for the waters were risen; a river that could not be passed over without swimming.

6 E gli mi disse: «Hai visto, figlio d'uomo?». Poi mi fece ritornare nuovamente sulla sponda del fiume.

And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me and caused me to return to the brink of the river.

7 D opo essere ritornato, ecco sulla sponda del fiume moltissimi alberi, da un lato e dall'altro.

And as I turned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.

8 Q uindi mi disse: «Queste acque si dirigono verso la regione est, scendono nell'Arabah, e sboccheranno nel mare; entrate nel mare, le sue acque saranno risanate.

Then he said unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country and shall go down into the desert and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters of the sea shall be healed.

9 E avverrà che ogni essere vivente che si muove, dovunque il fiume arriverà, vivrà; ci sarà grande abbondanza di pesce, perche vi giungono queste acque e risanano le altre; ovunque arriverà il fiume tutto vivrà.

And it shall come to pass, that every living soul, which swims wherever these two rivers shall come, shall live; and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because of these waters going there: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live that shall enter into this river.

10 E avverrà che sulle sue rive ci saranno pescatori; da En-ghedi fino ad Eneglaim sarà un posto dove si stenderanno le reti; il suo pesce sarà dello stesso genere e in grande quantità, come il pesce del Mar Grande.

And it shall come to pass, that the fishermen shall stand next to it; and from Engedi even unto Eneglaim there shall be a place to spread forth nets; according to their kinds, their fish shall be as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

11 M a le sue paludi e i suoi acquitrini non saranno risanati, saranno lasciati per estrarre il sale.

But the miry places thereof and the marshes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.

12 L ungo il fiume, su entrambe le sue sponde, crescerà ogni specie di alberi da frutto, le cui foglie non appassiranno e il cui frutto non verrà mai meno. Porteranno frutto ogni mese, perché le loro acque escono dal santuario, il loro frutto servirà di cibo e le loro foglie di medicina».

And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow every fruitful tree for food, whose leaf shall not fall, neither shall its fruit be lacking; it shall bring forth mature fruit in its months, because their waters come forth out of the sanctuary; and its fruit shall be for food, and its leaf for medicine.

13 C osí dice il Signore, l'Eterno: «Questi sono i confini in base ai quali voi spartirete il paese in eredità fra le dodici tribú d'Israele. Giuseppe ne avrà due parti.

¶ Thus hath the Lord GOD said: This is the border, by which ye shall divide the land in inheritance among to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

14 O gnuno di voi erediterà una parte uguale a quella del fratello, perché io ho alzato la mano in giuramento di darlo ai vostri padri. Questo paese vi toccherà quindi in eredità.

And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another, concerning that which I lifted up my hand that I must give it unto your fathers: therefore, this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.

15 Q uesti saranno i confini del paese dal lato nord: dal Mar Grande in direzione di Hethlon fino ad arrivare a Tsedad

And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;

16 H amath, Berothah, Sibraim (che è tra il confine di Damasco e il confine di Hamath), Hatserhattikon (che è sul confine di Hauran).

Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazarhatticon, which is by the coast of Hauran.

17 C osí il confine sarà dal mare fino a Hatsarenon, ai confini di Damasco, con il confine di Hamath a nord. Questo è il lato nord.

And the border of the north shall be from the sea of Hazarenan to the border of Damascus to the north, and to the border of Hamath to the side of the north.

18 D al lato est vi estenderete fra Hauran e Damasco, fra Galaad e il paese d'Israele lungo il Giordano e lungo la sponda est del mare. Questo è il lato est.

And to the east side through Hauran, and Damascus, and Gilead, and through the land of Israel to the Jordan, ye shall measure this from the border unto the east sea.

19 I l lato sud, verso sud, si estenderà da Tamar fino alle acque di Meriboth di Kadesh, quindi lungo il torrente d'Egitto, fino al Mar Grande. Questo è il lato sud, verso sud.

And to the south side southward from Tamar even to the waters of strife; from Kadesh and the river to the great sea. And this shall be the south side southward.

20 I l lato ovest sarà il Mar Grande, dal confine sud fino davanti all'ingresso di Hamath. Questo è il lato ovest.

And to the west side the great sea shall be the border straight unto Hamath. This shall be the west side.

21 D ividerete cosí questo paese tra di voi, in base alle tribú d'Israele.

So shall ye divide this land among you according to the tribes of Israel.

22 L o dividerete a sorte in eredità tra voi e gli stranieri che risiedono fra di voi e hanno generato figli in mezzo a voi. Questi saranno per voi come quelli nati nel paese tra i figli d'Israele; avranno anch'essi in sorte un'eredità in mezzo alle tribú d'Israele.

And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, who have begotten sons among you; and they shall be unto you as native born among the sons of Israel; they shall have cast lots with you to inherit among the tribes of Israel.

23 N ella tribú in cui lo straniero risiede là gli darete la sua parte», dice il Signore, l'Eterno.

And it shall come to pass, that in the tribe in which the stranger sojourns, there shall ye give him his inheritance, said the Lord GOD.
