And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all those that had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge and having understanding;

29 s i unirono ai loro fratelli, i piú ragguardevoli fra loro, e si impegnarono con esecrazione e giuramento a camminare nella legge di DIO data per mezzo di Mosè servo di DIO, e ad osservare e mettere in pratica tutti i comandamenti dell'Eterno, il nostro Signore, i suoi decreti e i suoi statuti,

Strengthened with their brethren, their nobles, they came forward in an oath with a curse that they would walk in God’s law, which was given by the hand of Moses, the slave of God, and observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;

30 a non dare le nostre figlie ai popoli del paese e a non prendere le loro figlie per i nostri figli,

and that we would not give our daughters unto the peoples of the land nor take their daughters for our sons.

31 a non comprare nulla in giorno di sabato o in altro giorno sacro dai popoli che portassero a vendere in giorno di sabato qualunque genere di merci e di cereali, a lasciar riposare la terra ogni settimo anno e a non riscuotere alcun debito.

Likewise that if the peoples of the land bring merchandise or any food on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not take anything from them on the sabbath or on the holy day, and that we would leave the seventh year and remit every debt.

32 C i impegnammo tassativamente di pagare ogni anno il terzo di un per il servizio della casa del nostro DIO,

¶ Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God,

33 p er i pani della presentazione, per l'oblazione perpetua di cibo, per l'olocausto perpetuo dei sabati, dei noviluni, delle feste stabilite, per le cose consacrate, per le offerte per il peccato, per fare espiazione, per Israele e per ogni lavoro della casa del nostro DIO.

for the showbread and for the continual present and for the continual burnt offering, and of the sabbaths and of the new moons, for the appointed feasts and for the holy things and for the atonement for sin to reconcile Israel and for all the work of the house of our God.

34 I noltre tirammo a sorte tra i sacerdoti, i Leviti e il popolo circa l'offerta della legna da portare nella casa del nostro DIO, ogni anno a tempi fissati, secondo le nostre case paterne, perché bruciasse sull'altare dell'Eterno, il nostro DIO, come sta scritto nella legge.

And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, regarding the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law.

35 C i impegnammo pure a portare ogni anno nella casa dell'Eterno le primizie del nostro suolo e le primizie di tutti i frutti di ogni albero,

And that each year we would bring the firstfruits of our ground and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, unto the house of the LORD.

36 e i primogeniti dei nostri figli e del nostro bestiame, come sta scritto nella legge, e i primogeniti delle nostre mandrie e delle nostre greggi per presentarli nella casa del nostro DIO ai sacerdoti che prestano servizio nella casa del nostro DIO.

Likewise, the firstborn of our sons and of our beasts, as it is written in the law and that we would bring the firstlings of our cows and of our sheep to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God.

37 I noltre ci impegnammo a portare ai sacerdoti nelle camere della casa del nostro DIO le primizie della nostra pasta, le nostre offerte, i frutti di ogni albero, del mosto e dell'olio, e ai Leviti la decima del nostro suolo; i Leviti stessi preleveranno le decime in tutte le città dove noi lavoriamo.

And that we would also bring the firstfruits of our dough and of our offerings and the fruit of every tree, of the wine and of the oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God, and the tithe of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tenths of our labours in all the cities.

38 U n sacerdote, discendente di Aaronne, sarà con i Leviti quando i Leviti preleveranno le decime; e i Leviti porteranno la decima della decima alla casa del nostro DIO nelle camere della tesoreria,

And that the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive tithes; and the Levites shall offer the tithe of the tithes in the house of our God, to the chambers, in the treasure house.

39 p erché in quelle camere i figli d'Israele e i figli di Levi porteranno l'offerta del frumento, del mosto e dell'olio; qui sono gli utensili del santuario, i sacerdoti che prestano servizio, i portinai e i cantori. Noi non abbandoneremo la casa del nostro DIO.

For the sons of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine and the oil, unto the chambers where are the vessels of the sanctuary and the priests that minister and the porters and the singers; and we will not forsake the house of our God.
