1 ¿ Por qué se sublevan las naciones, Y los pueblos traman cosas vanas ?

¶ Why do the Gentiles rage, and the peoples imagine a vain thing?

2 S e levantan los reyes de la tierra, Y los gobernantes traman unidos Contra el Señor y contra Su Ungido, diciendo:

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his anointed, saying,

3 “ ¡Rompamos Sus cadenas Y echemos de nosotros Sus cuerdas!”

let us break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from us.

4 E l que se sienta como Rey en los cielos se ríe, El Señor se burla de ellos.

He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

5 L uego les hablará en Su ira, Y en Su furor los aterrará, diciendo:

Then he shall speak unto them in his wrath and trouble them in his sore displeasure.

6 “ Pero Yo mismo he consagrado a Mi Rey Sobre Sion, Mi santo monte.”

Yet I have set my king upon Zion, the mountain of my holiness.

7 “ Ciertamente anunciaré el decreto del Señor Que me dijo: ‘Mi Hijo eres Tú, Yo Te he engendrado hoy.

¶ I will declare the decree; the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day I have begotten thee.

8 P ídeme, y Te daré las naciones como herencia Tuya, Y como posesión Tuya los confines de la tierra.

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the Gentiles for thine inheritance and unto the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 T ú los quebrantarás con vara de hierro; Los desmenuzarás como vaso de alfarero.’”

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

10 A hora pues, oh reyes, muestren discernimiento; Reciban amonestación, oh jueces de la tierra.

¶ Understand now therefore, O ye kings: receive chastening, ye judges of the earth.

11 A doren al Señor con reverencia, Y alégrense con temblor.

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 H onren al Hijo para que no se enoje y perezcan en el camino, Pues puede inflamarse de repente Su ira. ¡Cuán bienaventurados son todos los que en El se refugian!

Kiss the Son lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way when his wrath is kindled in a little while. Blessed are all those that put their trust in him.
