1 E sta es la tercera vez que voy a visitarlos. Por el testimonio de dos o tres testigos se juzgaran todos los asuntos.

¶ This third time I am coming unto you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

2 D ije previamente, cuando estuve presente la segunda vez, y aunque ahora estoy ausente, lo digo de antemano a los que pecaron anteriormente y también a todos los demás, que si voy otra vez no seré indulgente,

I told you before and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now, I write to those who until now have sinned and to all others that, if I come again, I will not spare,

3 p uesto que ustedes buscan una prueba del Cristo que habla en mí. El cual no es débil para con ustedes, sino poderoso en ustedes.

Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, who unto you is not weak, but is mighty in you.

4 P orque ciertamente El fue crucificado por debilidad, pero vive por el poder de Dios. Así también nosotros somos débiles en El, sin embargo, viviremos con El por el poder de Dios para con ustedes.

For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. By which we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God in you.

5 P ónganse a prueba para ver si están en la fe. Examínense a sí mismos. ¿O no se reconocen a ustedes mismos de que Jesucristo está en ustedes, a menos de que en verdad no pasen la prueba ?

Examine yourselves whether ye are in the faith; prove your own selves. Do ye not know your own selves if Jesus Christ is in you? Unless ye are reprobates.

6 P ero espero que reconocerán que nosotros no estamos reprobados.

But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.

7 Y rogamos a Dios que no hagan nada malo. No para que nosotros aparezcamos aprobados, sino para que ustedes hagan lo bueno, aunque nosotros aparezcamos reprobados.

¶ Now I pray to God that ye do no evil, not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is good, though we be as reprobates.

8 P orque nada podemos hacer contra la verdad, sino sólo a favor de la verdad.

For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

9 P ues nos regocijamos cuando nosotros somos débiles, pero ustedes son fuertes; también oramos por esto: que ustedes sean hechos perfectos.

By which we are glad that we are weak and ye are strong, and even so we pray for your perfection.

10 P or esta razón les escribo estas cosas estando ausente, a fin de que cuando esté presente no tenga que usar de severidad según la autoridad que el Señor me dio para edificación y no para destrucción. Bendición y Despedida

Therefore I write these things being absent lest being present I should treat you with more severity, according to the power which the Lord has given me for edification, and not for destruction.

11 P or lo demás, hermanos, regocíjense, sean perfectos, confórtense, sean de un mismo sentir, vivan en paz, y el Dios de amor y paz estará con ustedes.

¶ For the rest, brethren, that ye may have joy, be perfected, have consolation, be of one mind, having peace; and the God of peace and charity shall be with you.

12 S alúdense los unos a los otros con beso santo.

Greet one another with a holy kiss.

13 T odos los santos los saludan.

All the saints salute you.

14 L a gracia del Señor Jesucristo, el amor de Dios y la comunión del Espíritu Santo sean con todos ustedes.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the charity of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
