1 E n Dios solamente espera en silencio mi alma; De El viene mi salvación.

¶ Only in God does my soul rest; from him comes my saving health.

2 S ólo El es mi roca y mi salvación, Mi baluarte, nunca seré sacudido.

He only is my rock and my saving health; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

3 ¿ Hasta cuándo atacarán a un hombre, Todos ustedes, para derribar lo, Como pared inclinada, como cerca que se tambalea?

How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? Shall ye murder each other until ye are as a bowing wall and as a tottering fence?

4 E llos solamente consultan para derribarlo de su eminencia; En la falsedad se deleitan; Bendicen con la boca, Pero por dentro maldicen. (Selah)

They only consult to cast him down from his greatness; they delight in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse in their inward parts. Selah.

5 A lma mía, espera en silencio solamente en Dios, Pues de El viene mi esperanza.

My soul, rest thou only in God, for my hope is from him.

6 S ólo El es mi roca y mi salvación, Mi refugio, nunca seré sacudido.

He only is my rock and my saving health; he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

7 E n Dios descansan mi salvación y mi gloria; La roca de mi fortaleza, mi refugio, está en Dios.

In God is my saving health and my glory; the rock of my strength and my refuge is in God.

8 C onfíen en El en todo tiempo, Oh pueblo; derramen su corazón delante de El; Dios es nuestro refugio. (Selah)

¶ Wait in him at all times; ye peoples, pour out your heart before him; God is our refuge. Selah.

9 L os hombres de baja condición sólo son vanidad, y los de alto rango son mentira; En la balanza suben, Todos juntos pesan menos que un soplo.

Surely the sons of Adam are vanity, and the sons of nobles are a lie; to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

10 N o confíen ustedes en la opresión, Ni en el robo pongan su esperanza; Si las riquezas aumentan, no pongan el corazón en ellas.

Trust not in violence and become not vain in the taking of spoil; if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

11 U na vez ha hablado Dios; Dos veces he oído esto: Que de Dios es el poder;

God has spoken once; twice have I heard this that power belongs unto God.

12 Y Tuya es, oh Señor, la misericordia, Pues Tú pagas al hombre conforme a sus obras.

Also unto thee, O Lord, belongs mercy, for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
