1 “ Ante esto, también tiembla mi corazón, Y salta de su lugar.

¶ At this also my heart trembles and is moved out of its place.

2 E scuchen atentamente el estruendo de Su voz, Y el rugido que sale de Su boca.

Hear attentively his terrible voice and the word that goes out of his mouth.

3 B ajo todos los cielos lo suelta, Y Su relámpago hasta los confines de la tierra.

He shall place it straight under the whole of the heavens, and his light shall extend unto the ends of the earth.

4 T ras él, ruge una voz; Truena El con Su majestuosa voz, Y no retiene los relámpagos mientras se oye Su voz.

After it shall the sound roar; his valiant voice shall thunder; and he will not stay them even when his voice is heard.

5 M aravillosamente truena Dios con Su voz, Haciendo grandes cosas que no comprendemos.

God shall thunder marvelously with his voice; he does great things, which we cannot comprehend.

6 P orque a la nieve dice: ‘Cae sobre la tierra,’ Y al aguacero y a la lluvia: ‘Sean fuertes.’

¶ For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; rain after rain, and rain after rain in his strength.

7 E l sella la mano de todo hombre, Para que todos conozcan Su obra.

He seals up the hand of every man that all men may know his work.

8 L a fiera entra en su guarida, Y permanece en su madriguera.

Then the beast shall go into its lair and inhabit its dwelling.

9 D el sur viene el torbellino, Y del norte el frío.

Out of the south comes the whirlwind and cold out of the north wind.

10 D el soplo de Dios se forma el hielo, Y se congela la extensión de las aguas.

By the breath of God ice is given; and the broad waters are constrained.

11 T ambién El llena (carga) de humedad la densa nube, Y esparce la nube con Su relámpago;

In addition to this, with clarity he wearies the thick clouds; and he scatters them with his light.

12 A quélla gira y da vueltas por Su sabia dirección, Para hacer todo lo que El le ordena Sobre la superficie de toda la tierra.

And they are turned round about by his counsels; that they may do whatever he commands them upon the face of the world in the earth.

13 Y a sea por corrección, o por el mundo suyo, O por misericordia, El hace que suceda.

On some occasions for correction, on others for his land, on others for mercy he causes them to appear.

14 E scucha esto, Job, Detente y considera las maravillas de Dios.

¶ Hearken unto this, Job; stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

15 ¿ Sabes tú cómo Dios las establece, Y hace resplandecer el relámpago de Su nube?

Dost thou know when God disposed them and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

16 ¿ Sabes tú la posición de las densas nubes, Maravillas del perfecto en conocimiento,

Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of the one who is perfect in knowledge?

17 T ú, cuyos vestidos están calientes Cuando la tierra está en calma a causa del viento del sur?

How thy garments are warm, when he quiets the earth by the south wind?

18 ¿ Puedes con El extender el firmamento, Fuerte como espejo de metal fundido?

Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong and as a molten looking glass?

19 E nséñanos qué Le hemos de decir a Dios; No podemos ordenar nuestro argumento a causa de las tinieblas.

Teach us what we should say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

20 ¿ Habrá que contarle que yo quiero hablar? ¿O debe un hombre decir que quiere ser tragado ?

Shall it be told him when I speak? When someone is swallowed up shall it be told him?

21 A hora los hombres no ven la luz que brilla en el firmamento; Pero pasa el viento y lo despeja.

¶ Also, sometimes the clear light which is in the heavens is not seen, but the wind passes and cleanses them.

22 D el norte viene dorado esplendor: Majestad impresionante alrededor de Dios.

Fair weather comes out of the north; with God is terrible majesty.

23 E s el Todopoderoso (el Shaddai); no Lo podemos alcanzar; El es grande en poder, Y no pervertirá el juicio ni la abundante justicia.

Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out; he is excellent in power and in judgment, and in plenty of righteousness he will not afflict.

24 P or eso Le temen los hombres; El no estima a ninguno que se cree sabio de corazón.”

Men, therefore, shall fear him; all the crafty of heart shall not see him.
