1 A ESTO también se espanta mi corazón, Y salta de su lugar.

¶ At this also my heart trembles and is moved out of its place.

2 O id atentamente su voz terrible, y el sonido que sale de su boca.

Hear attentively his terrible voice and the word that goes out of his mouth.

3 D ebajo de todos los cielos lo dirige, Y su luz hasta los fines de la tierra.

He shall place it straight under the whole of the heavens, and his light shall extend unto the ends of the earth.

4 D espués de ella bramará el sonido, Tronará él con la voz de su magnificencia; Y aunque sea oída su voz, no los detiene.

After it shall the sound roar; his valiant voice shall thunder; and he will not stay them even when his voice is heard.

5 T ronará Dios maravillosamente con su voz; El hace grandes cosas, que nosotros no entendemos.

God shall thunder marvelously with his voice; he does great things, which we cannot comprehend.

6 P orque á la nieve dice: Desciende á la tierra; También á la llovizna, Y á los aguaceros de su fortaleza.

¶ For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; rain after rain, and rain after rain in his strength.

7 A sí hace retirarse á todo hombre, Para que los hombres todos reconozcan su obra.

He seals up the hand of every man that all men may know his work.

8 L a bestia se entrará en su escondrijo, Y estaráse en sus moradas.

Then the beast shall go into its lair and inhabit its dwelling.

9 D el mediodía viene el torbellino, Y el frío de los vientos del norte.

Out of the south comes the whirlwind and cold out of the north wind.

10 P or el soplo de Dios se da el hielo, Y las anchas aguas son constreñidas.

By the breath of God ice is given; and the broad waters are constrained.

11 R egando también llega á disipar la densa nube, Y con su luz esparce la niebla.

In addition to this, with clarity he wearies the thick clouds; and he scatters them with his light.

12 A simismo por sus designios se revuelven las nubes en derredor, Para hacer sobre la haz del mundo, En la tierra, lo que él les mandara.

And they are turned round about by his counsels; that they may do whatever he commands them upon the face of the world in the earth.

13 U nas veces por azote, otras pos causa de su tierra, Otras por misericordia las hará parecer.

On some occasions for correction, on others for his land, on others for mercy he causes them to appear.

14 E scucha esto, Job; Repósate, y considera las maravillas de Dios.

¶ Hearken unto this, Job; stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

15 ¿ Supiste tú cuándo Dios las ponía en concierto, Y hacía levantar la luz de su nube?

Dost thou know when God disposed them and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

16 ¿ Has tú conocido las diferencias de las nubes, Las maravillas del Perfecto en sabiduría?

Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of the one who is perfect in knowledge?

17 ¿ Por qué están calientes tus vestidos Cuando se fija el viento del mediodía sobre la tierra?

How thy garments are warm, when he quiets the earth by the south wind?

18 ¿ Extendiste tú con él los cielos, Firmes como un espejo sólido?

Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong and as a molten looking glass?

19 M uéstranos qué le hemos de decir; Porque nosotros no podemos componer las ideas á causa de las tinieblas.

Teach us what we should say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

20 ¿ Será preciso contarle cuando yo hablaré? Por más que el hombre razone, quedará como abismado.

Shall it be told him when I speak? When someone is swallowed up shall it be told him?

21 H e aquí aún: no se puede mirar la luz esplendente en los cielos, Luego que pasa el viento y los limpia,

¶ Also, sometimes the clear light which is in the heavens is not seen, but the wind passes and cleanses them.

22 V iniendo de la parte del norte la dorada claridad. En Dios hay una majestad terrible.

Fair weather comes out of the north; with God is terrible majesty.

23 E l es Todopoderoso, al cual no alcanzamos, grande en potencia; Y en juicio y en multitud de justicia no afligirá.

Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out; he is excellent in power and in judgment, and in plenty of righteousness he will not afflict.

24 T emerlo han por tanto los hombres: El no mira á los sabios de corazón.

Men, therefore, shall fear him; all the crafty of heart shall not see him.
