¶ O LORD, thou hast searched me and known me.

2 T ú has conocido mi sentarme y mi levantarme, Has entendido desde lejos mis pensamientos.

Thou knowest my sitting down and my rising up, thou dost understand my thoughts from afar.

3 M i senda y mi acostarme has rodeado, Y estás impuesto en todos mis caminos.

Thou hast girded my walk and my rest, and hast prepared all my ways.

4 P ues aun no está la palabra en mi lengua, Y he aquí, oh Jehová, tú la sabes toda.

For the word is not even upon my tongue, and, behold, O LORD, thou dost know it altogether.

5 D etrás y delante me guarneciste, Y sobre mí pusiste tu mano.

Thou hast formed my face and my insides and laid thine hand upon me.

6 M ás maravillosa es la ciencia que mi capacidad; Alta es, no puedo comprenderla.

Thy knowledge is wonderful beyond my ability to comprehend; it is high, I cannot understand it.

7 ¿ Adónde me iré de tu espíritu? ¿Y adónde huiré de tu presencia?

¶ Where shall I go from thy spirit? or where shall I flee from thy presence?

8 S i subiere á los cielos, allí estás tú: Y si en abismo hiciere mi estrado, he aquí allí tú estás.

If I ascend to the heavens, thou art there: if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there.

9 S i tomare las alas del alba, Y habitare en el extremo de la mar,

If I take the wings of the dawn and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,

10 A un allí me guiará tu mano, Y me asirá tu diestra.

even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11 S i dijere: Ciertamente las tinieblas me encubrirán; Aun la noche resplandecerá tocante á mí.

If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall shine because of me.

12 A un las tinieblas no encubren de ti, Y la noche resplandece como el día: Lo mismo te son las tinieblas que la luz.

Even the darkness does not hide from thee; but the night shines as the day; the darkness is as the light.

13 P orque tú poseiste mis riñones; Cubrísteme en el vientre de mi madre.

For thou hast possessed my kidneys: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

14 T e alabaré; porque formidables, maravillosas son tus obras: Estoy maravillado, Y mi alma lo conoce mucho.

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are thy works, and that, my soul knows right well.

15 N o fué encubierto de ti mi cuerpo, Bien que en oculto fuí formado, Y compaginado en lo más bajo de la tierra.

My body was not hid from thee, even though I was made in secret and brought together in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 M i embrión vieron tus ojos, Y en tu libro estaban escritas todas aquellas cosas Que fueron luego formadas, Sin faltar una de ellas.

Thine eyes did see my substance yet being imperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which were then formed, without lacking one of them.

17 A sí que ­cuán preciosos me son, oh Dios, tus pensamientos! ­Cuán multiplicadas son sus cuentas!

¶ Therefore, how precious are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

18 S i los cuento, multiplícanse más que la arena: Despierto, y aun estoy contigo.

If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with thee.

19 D e cierto, oh Dios, matarás al impío; Apartaos pues de mí, hombres sanguinarios.

Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God; depart from me therefore, ye bloodthirsty men.

20 P orque blasfemias dicen ellos contra ti: Tus enemigos toman en vano tu nombre

For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

21 ¿ No tengo en odio, oh Jehová, á los que te aborrecen, Y me conmuevo contra tus enemigos?

Do I not hate all those, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

22 A borrézcolos con perfecto odio; Téngolos por enemigos.

I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them mine enemies.

23 E xamíname, oh Dios, y conoce mi corazón: Pruébame y reconoce mis pensamientos:

Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my thoughts

24 Y ve si hay en mí camino de perversidad, Y guíame en el camino eterno.

and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way eternal.
