1 Y HABLO Jehová á Moisés y á Aarón, diciéndoles:

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,

2 H ablad á los hijos de Israel, diciendo: Estos son los animales que comeréis de todos los animales que están sobre la tierra.

Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, These are the animals which ye shall eat among all the animals that are on the earth.

3 D e entre los animales, todo el de pezuña, y que tiene las pezuñas hendidas, y que rumia, éste comeréis.

Whatever divides the hoof and is clovenfooted and chews the cud, among the animals, that shall you eat.

4 E stos empero no comeréis de los que rumian y de los que tienen pezuña: el camello, porque rumia mas no tiene pezuña hendida, habéis de tenerlo por inmundo;

Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of those that chew the cud or of those that divide the hoof: the camel because it chews the cud but divides not the hoof; it is unclean unto you.

5 T ambién el conejo, porque rumia, mas no tiene pezuña, tendréislo por inmundo;

And the coney because it chews the cud, but divides not the hoof: it is unclean unto you.

6 A simismo la liebre, porque rumia, mas no tiene pezuña, tendréisla por inmunda;

And the hare because it chews the cud, but divides not the hoof: it is unclean unto you.

7 T ambién el puerco, porque tiene pezuñas, y es de pezuñas hendidas, mas no rumia, tendréislo por inmundo.

And the swine though it divides the hoof and is clovenfooted, yet it chews not the cud: it is unclean to you.

8 D e la carne de ellos no comeréis, ni tocaréis su cuerpo muerto: tendréislos por inmundos.

Of their flesh ye shall not eat, and their carcase you shall not touch: they are unclean to you.

9 E sto comeréis de todas las cosas que están en las aguas: todas las cosas que tienen aletas y escamas en las aguas de la mar, y en los ríos, aquellas comeréis;

¶ These shall you eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, those shall you eat.

10 M as todas las cosas que no tienen aletas ni escamas en la mar y en los ríos, así de todo reptil de agua como de toda cosa viviente que está en las aguas, las tendréis en abominación.

But all that have not fins and scales in the seas and in the rivers, of any reptile in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you;

11 O s serán, pues, en abominación: de su carne no comeréis, y abominaréis sus cuerpos muertos.

they shall be an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, and ye shall have their carcasses in abomination.

12 T odo lo que no tuviere aletas y escamas en las aguas, tendréislo en abominación.

Whatever has no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

13 Y de las aves, éstas tendréis en abominación; no se comerán, serán abominación: el águila, el quebrantahuesos, el esmerejón,

And these ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they shall be an abomination: the eagle, the ossifrage, the ospray,

14 E l milano, y el buitre según su especie;

the vulture, and the kite according to his species,

15 T odo cuervo según su especie;

every raven according to his species,

16 E l avestruz, y la lechuza, y el laro, y el gavilán según su especie;

the owl, the night hawk, the cuckow, and the hawk according to his species;

17 Y el buho, y el somormujo, y el ibis,

the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl,

18 Y el calamón, y el cisne, y el onocrótalo,

the swan, the pelican, the gier eagle,

19 Y el herodión, y el caradrión, según su especie, y la abubilla, y el murciélago.

the stork, the heron according to her species, the lapwing, and the bat.

20 T odo reptil alado que anduviere sobre cuatro pies, tendréis en abominación.

¶ Every flying insect that creeps, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.

21 E mpero esto comeréis de todo reptil alado que anda sobre cuatro pies, que tuviere piernas además de sus pies para saltar con ellas sobre la tierra;

Yet these may ye eat of every flying insect that goes upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap with them upon the earth;

22 E stos comeréis de ellos: la langosta según su especie, y el langostín según su especie, y el aregol según su especie, y el haghab según su especie.

these of them ye may eat: the locust according to his species and the bald locust according to his species and the beetle according to his species and the grasshopper according to his species.

23 T odo reptil alado que tenga cuatro pies, tendréis en abominación.

But all other flying insects, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.

24 Y por estas cosas seréis inmundos: cualquiera que tocare á sus cuerpos muertos, será inmundo hasta la tarde:

And for these ye shall be unclean: whoever touches their carcase shall be unclean until the evening.

25 Y cualquiera que llevare de sus cuerpos muertos, lavará sus vestidos, y será inmundo hasta la tarde.

And whoever bears any part of their carcase shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.

26 T odo animal de pezuña, pero que no tiene pezuña hendida, ni rumia, tendréis por inmundo: cualquiera que los tocare será inmundo.

The carcasses of every animal which divides the hoof and is not clovenfooted, nor chews the cud, are unclean unto you; everyone that touches them shall be unclean.

27 Y de todos los animales que andan á cuatro pies, tendréis por inmundo cualquiera que ande sobre sus garras: cualquiera que tocare sus cuerpos muertos, será inmundo hasta la tarde.

And of all the animals that go on all four, any that walk upon their paws are unclean unto you; whoever touches their carcase shall be unclean until the evening.

28 Y el que llevare sus cuerpos muertos, lavará sus vestidos, y será inmundo hasta la tarde: habéis de tenerlos por inmundos.

And he that bears their carcase shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening; they are unclean unto you.

29 Y estos tendréis por inmundos de los reptiles que van arrastrando sobre la tierra: la comadreja, y el ratón, y la rana según su especie,

These also shall be unclean unto you among the animals that creep upon the earth: the weasel and the mouse and the frog according to his species

30 Y el erizo, y el lagarto, y el caracol, y la babosa, y el topo.

and the ferret and the lizard and the snail and the slug and the mole.

31 E stos tendréis por inmundos de todos los reptiles: cualquiera que los tocare, cuando estuvieren muertos, será inmundo hasta la tarde.

These are unclean to you among all the animals; whoever touches them, when they are dead, shall be unclean until the evening.

32 Y todo aquello sobre que cayere alguno de ellos después de muertos, será inmundo; así vaso de madera, como vestido, ó piel, ó saco, cualquier instrumento con que se hace obra, será metido en agua, y será inmundo hasta la tarde, y así será limpio.

And everything upon which any of them falls when they are dead shall be unclean, whether it be any vessel of wood or clothing or skin or sack, whatever instrument with which work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the evening; and thus it shall be cleansed.

33 Y toda vasija de barro dentro de la cual cayere alguno de ellos, todo lo que estuviere en ella será inmundo, y quebraréis la vasija:

And every earthen vessel into which any of them falls, whatever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break the vessel.

34 T oda vianda que se come, sobre la cual viniere el agua de tales vasijas, será inmunda: y toda bebida que se bebiere, será en todas esas vasijas inmunda:

All food which may be eaten upon which shall come water from any such vessel shall be unclean; and any drink that may be drunk shall be unclean in every such vessel.

35 Y todo aquello sobre que cayere algo del cuerpo muerto de ellos, será inmundo: el horno ú hornillos se derribarán; son inmundos, y por inmundos los tendréis.

And everything upon which any part of their carcase falls shall be unclean: the oven or the chimney shall be broken down, for they are unclean and shall be unclean unto you.

36 C on todo, la fuente y la cisterna donde se recogen aguas, serán limpias: mas lo que hubiere tocado en sus cuerpos muertos será inmundo.

Nevertheless a fountain or cistern where water is collected shall be clean; but that which touches their carcase shall be unclean.

37 Y si cayere de sus cuerpos muertos sobre alguna simiente que se haya de sembrar, será limpia.

And if any part of their carcase falls upon any sown seed which is sown, it shall be clean.

38 M as si se hubiere puesto agua en la simiente, y cayere de sus cuerpos muertos sobre ella, tendréisla por inmunda.

But if any water is put upon the seed and any part of their carcase falls thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.

39 Y si algún animal que tuviereis para comer se muriere, el que tocare su cuerpo muerto será inmundo hasta la tarde:

And if any animal of which ye may eat dies, he that touches the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the evening;

40 Y el que comiere de su cuerpo muerto, lavará sus vestidos, y será inmundo hasta la tarde: asimismo el que sacare su cuerpo muerto, lavará sus vestidos, y será inmundo hasta la tarde.

and he that eats of the carcase of it shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening; likewise he that bears the carcase of it shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.

41 Y todo reptil que va arrastrando sobre la tierra, es abominación; no se comerá.

And every reptile that creeps upon the earth is an abomination; it shall not be eaten.

42 T odo lo que anda sobre el pecho, y todo lo que anda sobre cuatro ó más pies, de todo reptil que anda arrastrando sobre la tierra, no lo comeréis, porque es abominación.

Whatever goes upon the belly and whatever goes upon four or more feet among all reptiles that creep upon the earth, ye shall not eat; for it is abomination.

43 N o ensuciéis vuestras personas con ningún reptil que anda arrastrando, ni os contaminéis con ellos, ni seáis inmundos por ellos.

¶ Ye shall not defile your souls with any reptile that creeps, neither shall ye contaminate yourselves with them, that ye should be unclean with them.

44 P ues que yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios, vosotros por tanto os santificaréis, y seréis santos, porque yo soy santo: así que no ensuciéis vuestras personas con ningún reptil que anduviere arrastrando sobre la tierra.

For I am the LORD your God; ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy; neither shall ye defile your souls with any reptile that moves upon the earth.

45 P orque yo soy Jehová, que os hago subir de la tierra de Egipto para seros por Dios: seréis pues santos, porque yo soy santo.

For I am the LORD that causes you to come up out of the land of Egypt to be your God; ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

46 E sta es la ley de los animales y de las aves, y de todo ser viviente que se mueve en las aguas, y de todo animal que anda arrastrando sobre la tierra;

This is the law of the animals and of the fowls and of every living creature that moves in the waters and of every animal that creeps upon the earth:

47 P ara hacer diferencia entre inmundo y limpio, y entre los animales que se pueden comer y los animales que no se pueden comer.

to make a difference between the unclean and the clean and between the animals that may be eaten and the animals that may not be eaten.
