Each one speaks vanity with his neighbour: they speak with flattering lips and with a double heart.

3 D estruirá Jehová todos los labios lisonjeros, La lengua que habla grandezas,

The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips and the tongue that speaks proud things:

4 Q ue dijeron: Por nuestra lengua prevaleceremos; Nuestros labios están con nosotros: ¿quién nos es señor?

Who have said, With our tongue we will prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

5 P or la opresión de los pobres, por el gemido de los menesterosos, Ahora me levantaré, dice Jehová: Pondrélos en salvo del que contra ellos se engríe.

For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise, saith the LORD; I will set in safety the one whom the wicked one has ensnared.

6 L as palabras de Jehová, palabras limpias; Plata refinada en horno de tierra, Purificada siete veces.

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 T ú, Jehová, los guardarás; Guárdalos para siempre de aquesta generación.

Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8 C ercando andan los malos, Mientras son exaltados los más viles de los hijos de los hombres.

The wicked press in on every side when the vilest men are exalted.
