1 A l Músico principal: Salmo de David. ALEGRARASE el rey en tu fortaleza, oh Jehová; Y en tu salud se gozará mucho.

¶ The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy saving health how greatly shall he rejoice!

2 E l deseo de su corazón le diste, Y no le negaste lo que sus labios pronunciaron. (Selah.)

Thou hast given him his heart’s desire and hast not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.

3 P ues le has salido al encuentro con bendiciones de bien: Corona de oro fino has puesto sobre su cabeza.

For thou givest him beforehand the blessings of goodness; thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

4 V ida te demandó, y dístele Largura de días por siglos y siglos.

He asked life of thee, and thou didst give him length of days for ever and ever.

5 G rande es su gloria en tu salud: Honra y majestad has puesto sobre él.

His glory is great in thy saving health; honour and beauty hast thou laid upon him.

6 P orque lo has bendecido para siempre; Llenástelo de alegría con tu rostro.

For thou hast made him most blessed for ever; thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

7 P or cuanto el rey confía en Jehová, Y en la misericordia del Altísimo, no será conmovido.

¶ For the king trusts in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

8 A lcanzará tu mano á todos tus enemigos; Tu diestra alcanzará á los que te aborrecen.

Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies; thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

9 P onerlos has como horno de fuego en el tiempo de tu ira: Jehová los deshará en su furor, Y fuego los consumirá.

Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger; the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

10 S u fruto destruirás de la tierra, Y su simiente de entre los hijos de los hombres.

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth and their seed from among the children of men.

11 P orque trazaron el mal contra ti: Fraguaron maquinaciones, mas no prevalecerán.

For they intended evil against thee; they imagined a wicked device, but they did not prevail.

12 P ues tú los pondrás en fuga, Cuando aparejares en tus cuerdas las saetas contra sus rostros.

Therefore shalt thou separate them; thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

13 E nsálzate, oh Jehová, con tu fortaleza: Cantaremos y alabaremos tu poderío.

Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy valour.
