1 T he king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord; And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
¶ The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy saving health how greatly shall he rejoice!
2 Y ou have given him his heart’s desire, And have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah
Thou hast given him his heart’s desire and hast not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.
3 F or You meet him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of pure gold upon his head.
For thou givest him beforehand the blessings of goodness; thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
4 H e asked life from You, and You gave it to him— Length of days forever and ever.
He asked life of thee, and thou didst give him length of days for ever and ever.
5 H is glory is great in Your salvation; Honor and majesty You have placed upon him.
His glory is great in thy saving health; honour and beauty hast thou laid upon him.
6 F or You have made him most blessed forever; You have made him exceedingly glad with Your presence.
For thou hast made him most blessed for ever; thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
7 F or the king trusts in the Lord, And through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be moved.
¶ For the king trusts in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
8 Y our hand will find all Your enemies; Your right hand will find those who hate You.
Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies; thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
9 Y ou shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger; The Lord shall swallow them up in His wrath, And the fire shall devour them.

10 T heir offspring You shall destroy from the earth, And their descendants from among the sons of men.
Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth and their seed from among the children of men.
11 F or they intended evil against You; They devised a plot which they are not able to perform.
For they intended evil against thee; they imagined a wicked device, but they did not prevail.
12 T herefore You will make them turn their back; You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces.
Therefore shalt thou separate them; thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.
13 B e exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength! We will sing and praise Your power.
Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy valour.
