1 ( 20-1) ^^Начальнику хора. Псалом Давида.^^ (20-2) Господи! силою Твоею веселится царь и о спасении Твоем безмерно радуется.

¶ The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy saving health how greatly shall he rejoice!

2 ( 20-3) Ты дал ему, чего желало сердце его, и прошения уст его не отринул,

Thou hast given him his heart’s desire and hast not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.

3 ( 20-4) ибо Ты встретил его благословениями благости, возложил на голову его венец из чистого золота.

For thou givest him beforehand the blessings of goodness; thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

4 ( 20-5) Он просил у Тебя жизни; Ты дал ему долгоденствие на век и век.

He asked life of thee, and thou didst give him length of days for ever and ever.

5 ( 20-6) Велика слава его в спасении Твоем; Ты возложил на него честь и величие.

His glory is great in thy saving health; honour and beauty hast thou laid upon him.

6 ( 20-7) Ты положил на него благословения на веки, возвеселил его радостью лица Твоего,

For thou hast made him most blessed for ever; thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

7 ( 20-8) ибо царь уповает на Господа, и во благости Всевышнего не поколеблется.

¶ For the king trusts in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

8 ( 20-9) Рука Твоя найдет всех врагов Твоих, десница Твоя найдет ненавидящих Тебя.

Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies; thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

9 ( 20-10) Во время гнева Твоего Ты сделаешь их, как печь огненную; во гневе Своем Господь погубит их, и пожрет их огонь.

Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger; the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

10 ( 20-11) Ты истребишь плод их с земли и семя их--из среды сынов человеческих,

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth and their seed from among the children of men.

11 ( 20-12) ибо они предприняли против Тебя злое, составили замыслы, но не могли.

For they intended evil against thee; they imagined a wicked device, but they did not prevail.

12 ( 20-13) Ты поставишь их целью, из луков Твоих пустишь стрелы в лице их.

Therefore shalt thou separate them; thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

13 ( 20-14) Вознесись, Господи, силою Твоею: мы будем воспевать и прославлять Твое могущество.

Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy valour.
