1 И отвечал Иов и сказал:

¶ Job answered and said,

2 к ак ты помог бессильному, поддержал мышцу немощного!

How hast thou helped the one who has no power? Hast thou saved with thy arm the one who has no strength?

3 К акой совет подал ты немудрому и как во всей полноте объяснил дело!

How hast thou counselled the one that has no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

4 К ому ты говорил эти слова, и чей дух исходил из тебя?

To whom hast thou uttered words, and whose is the spirit that comes forth from thee?

5 Р ефаимы трепещут под водами, и живущие в них.

¶ Dead things are formed under the waters and of its dwelling places.

6 П реисподняя обнажена пред Ним, и нет покрывала Аваддону.

Sheol is naked before him, and hell has no covering.

7 О н распростер север над пустотою, повесил землю ни на чем.

He stretches out the north wind over the empty place and hangs the earth upon nothing.

8 О н заключает воды в облаках Своих, и облако не расседается под ними.

He binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

9 О н поставил престол Свой, распростер над ним облако Свое.

He holds back the face of his throne and spreads his cloud upon it.

10 Ч ерту провел над поверхностью воды, до границ света со тьмою.

He has compassed the waters with bounds until the end of light and darkness.

11 С толпы небес дрожат и ужасаются от грозы Его.

The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

12 С илою Своею волнует море и разумом Своим сражает его дерзость.

He divides the sea with his power, and by his intelligence he smites its pride.

13 О т духа Его--великолепие неба; рука Его образовала быстрого скорпиона.

By his spirit he has adorned the heavens; his hand has formed the fleeing serpent.

14 В от, это части путей Его; и как мало мы слышали о Нем! А гром могущества Его кто может уразуметь?

Behold, these are parts of his ways; but how little a portion have we heard of him? For the thunder of his power, who shall understand?
