1 И поднялся Аврам из Египта, сам и жена его, и всё, что у него было, и Лот с ним, на юг.

¶ Thus Abram went up out of Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had and Lot with him into the Negev.

2 И был Аврам очень богат скотом, и серебром, и золотом.

And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.

3 И продолжал он переходы свои от юга до Вефиля, до места, где прежде был шатер его между Вефилем и между Гаем,

And he retraced his journeys from the side of the Negev even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai,

4 д о места жертвенника, который он сделал там вначале; и там призвал Аврам имя Господа.

unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.

5 И у Лота, который ходил с Аврамом, также был мелкий и крупный скот и шатры.

¶ And Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks and herds and tents.

6 И непоместительна была земля для них, чтобы жить вместе, ибо имущество их было так велико, что они не могли жить вместе.

And the land was not able to bear them that they might dwell together, for their substance was so great that they could not dwell together.

7 И был спор между пастухами скота Аврамова и между пастухами скота Лотова; и Хананеи и Ферезеи жили тогда в той земле.

And there was a strife between the pastors of Abram’s cattle and the pastors of Lot’s cattle; and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelt then in the land.

8 И сказал Аврам Лоту: да не будет раздора между мною и тобою, и между пастухами моими и пастухами твоими, ибо мы родственники;

Then Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee and between my pastors and thine, for we are brethren.

9 н е вся ли земля пред тобою? отделись же от меня: если ты налево, то я направо; а если ты направо, то я налево.

Is not the whole land before thee? Separate thyself, I pray thee, from me; if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.

10 Л от возвел очи свои и увидел всю окрестность Иорданскую, что она, прежде нежели истребил Господь Содом и Гоморру, вся до Сигора орошалась водою, как сад Господень, как земля Египетская;

¶ And Lot lifted up his eyes and beheld all the plain of the Jordan that it was well watered everywhere, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as a garden of the LORD like the land of Egypt as thou comest unto Zoar.

11 и избрал себе Лот всю окрестность Иорданскую; и двинулся Лот к востоку. И отделились они друг от друга.

Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of the Jordan, and Lot journeyed east; and they separated themselves the one from the other.

12 А врам стал жить на земле Ханаанской; а Лот стал жить в городах окрестности и раскинул шатры до Содома.

Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tents toward Sodom.

13 Ж ители же Содомские были злы и весьма грешны пред Господом.

But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

14 И сказал Господь Авраму, после того как Лот отделился от него: возведи очи твои и с места, на котором ты теперь, посмотри к северу и к югу, и к востоку и к западу;

¶ And the LORD said unto Abram, after Lot separated himself from him, Lift up now thine eyes and look from the place where thou art towards the Aquilon and to the Negev and to the east and to the west;

15 и бо всю землю, которую ты видишь, тебе дам Я и потомству твоему навеки,

for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it and to thy seed for ever.

16 и сделаю потомство твое, как песок земной; если кто может сосчитать песок земной, то и потомство твое сочтено будет;

And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth, so that if someone could number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.

17 в стань, пройди по земле сей в долготу и в широту ее, ибо Я тебе дам ее.

Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it, for I must give it unto thee.

18 И двинул Аврам шатер, и пошел, и поселился у дубравы Мамре, что в Хевроне; и создал там жертвенник Господу.

Then Abram removed his tent and came and dwelt among the terebinth trees of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD.
