1 И обратились мы оттуда, и шли к Васану, и выступил против нас на войну Ог, царь Васанский, со всем народом своим, при Едреи.

¶ Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan; and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.

2 И сказал мне Господь: не бойся его, ибо Я отдам в руку твою его, и весь народ его, и всю землю его, и ты поступишь с ним так, как поступил с Сигоном, царем Аморрейским, который жил в Есевоне.

And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not, for I have delivered him and all his people and his land into thy hand, and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon, king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon.

3 И предал Господь, Бог наш, в руки наши и Ога, царя Васанского, и весь народ его; и мы поразили его, так что никого не осталось у него в живых;

So the LORD our God delivered into our hand Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people, and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.

4 и взяли мы в то время все города его; не было города, которого мы не взяли бы у них: шестьдесят городов, всю область Аргов, царство Ога Васанского;

And we took all his cities at that time there was not a city which we did not take from them, sixty cities, all the region of Argob, of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

5 в се эти города укреплены были высокими стенами, воротами и запорами, кроме городов неукрепленных, весьма многих;

All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars besides a great many unwalled towns.

6 и предали мы их заклятию, как поступили с Сигоном, царем Есевонским, предав заклятию всякий город с мужчинами, женщинами и детьми;

And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon, king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every city, men, women, and children.

7 н о весь скот и захваченное в городах взяли себе в добычу.

But all the beasts and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.

8 И взяли мы в то время из руки двух царей Аморрейских землю сию, которая по эту сторону Иордана, от потока Арнона до горы Ермона, --

And we also took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side of the Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto Mount Hermon

9 С идоняне Ермон называют Сирионом, а Аморреи называют его Сениром, --

(which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion and the Amorites call it Shenir) and

10 в се города на равнине, весь Галаад и весь Васан до Салхи и Едреи, города царства Ога Васанского;

all the cities of the plain and all Gilead and all Bashan unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

11 и бо только Ог, царь Васанский, оставался из Рефаимов. Вот, одр его, одр железный, и теперь в Равве, у сынов Аммоновых: длина его девять локтей, а ширина его четыре локтя, локтей мужеских.

For only Og, king of Bashan, had remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? Nine cubits was the length thereof and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

12 З емлю сию взяли мы в то время начиная от Ароера, который у потока Арнона; и половину горы Галаада с городами ее отдал я Рувимову и Гадову;

¶ And this land, which we inherited at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half of Mount Gilead and the cities thereof, I gave unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.

13 а остаток Галаада и весь Васан, царство Ога, отдал я половине колена Манассиина, всю область Аргов со всем Васаном.

And the rest of Gilead and all Bashan (fertile ground), being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh: all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.

14 И аир, сын Манассиин, взял всю область Аргов, до пределов Гесурских и Маахских, и назвал Васан, по имени своему, селениями Иаировыми, что и доныне;

Jair, the son of Manasseh, took all the country of Argob unto the border of Geshuri and Maachathi and called them after his own name, Bashanhavothjair, unto this day.

15 М ахиру дал я Галаад;

And I gave Gilead unto Machir.

16 а Рувимову и Гадову дал от Галаада до потока Арнона, между потоком и пределом, до потока Иавока, предела сынов Аммоновых,

And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon, half the valley for a border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the sons of Ammon,

17 т акже равнину и Иордан, и предел, от Киннерефа до моря равнины, моря Соленого, при подошве Фасги к востоку.

the plain also and the Jordan and the border thereof from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward.

18 И дал я вам в то время повеление, говоря: Господь, Бог ваш, дал вам землю сию во владение; все способные к войне, вооружившись, идите впереди братьев ваших, сынов Израилевых;

And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God has given you this land to possess it; ye shall pass armed before your brethren, the sons of Israel, all that are valiant.

19 т олько жены ваши и дети ваши и скот ваш пусть останутся в городах ваших, которые я дал вам,

Only your wives and your little ones and your livestock (for I know that ye have much livestock) shall abide in your cities which I have given you

20 д околе Господь не даст покоя братьям вашим, как вам, и доколе и они не получат во владение землю, которую Господь, Бог ваш, дает им за Иорданом; тогда возвратитесь каждый в свое владение, которое я дал вам.

until the LORD has given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also inherit the land which the LORD your God has given them beyond the Jordan; then shall ye return each man unto his possession, which I have given you.

21 И Иисусу заповедал я в то время, говоря: глаза твои видели все, что сделал Господь, Бог ваш, с двумя царями сими; то же сделает Господь со всеми царствами, которые ты будешь проходить;

¶ And I also commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done unto these two kings, so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms where thou passest.

22 н е бойтесь их, ибо Господь, Бог ваш, Сам сражается за вас.

Ye shall not fear them, for the LORD your God, he shall fight for you.

23 И молился я Господу в то время, говоря:

And I besought the LORD at that time, saying,

24 В ладыко Господи, Ты начал показывать рабу Твоему величие Твое и крепкую руку Твою; ибо какой бог есть на небе, или на земле, который мог бы делать такие дела, как Твои, и с могуществом таким, как Твое?

O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to show thy slave thy greatness and thy mighty hand; for what God is there in heaven or in earth that can do according to thy works and according to thy mighty acts?

25 д ай мне перейти и увидеть ту добрую землю, которая за Иорданом, и ту прекрасную гору и Ливан.

I pray thee, let me go over and see that good land that is beyond the Jordan, that goodly mountain and Lebanon.

26 Н о Господь гневался на меня за вас и не послушал меня, и сказал мне Господь: полно тебе, впредь не говори Мне более об этом;

But the LORD was angry with me for your sakes and would not hear me, and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.

27 в зойди на вершину Фасги и взгляни глазами твоими к морю и к северу, и к югу и к востоку, и посмотри глазами твоими, потому что ты не перейдешь за Иордан сей;

Climb up into the top of Pisgah and lift up thine eyes westward and towards the Aquilon and towards the Negev and eastward and behold it with thine eyes, for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

28 и дай наставление Иисусу, и укрепи его, и утверди его; ибо он будет предшествовать народу сему и он разделит им на уделы землю, на которую ты посмотришь.

But charge Joshua and encourage him and comfort him, for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.

29 И остановились мы на долине, напротив Беф-Фегора.

So we abode in the valley over against Bethpeor.
