1 A SIMISMO David y los príncipes del ejército apartaron para el ministerio á los hijos de Asaph, y de Hemán, y de Jeduthún, los cuales profetizasen con arpas, salterios, y címbalos: y el número de ellos fué, de hombres idóneos para la obra de su ministerio respectivo:

¶ Moreover David and the captains of the host separated unto the ministry the sons of Asaph and of Heman and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals; and the number of men that were suitable for the work of their respective ministry was,

2 D e los hijos de Asaph: Zachûr, José, Methanías, y Asareela, hijos de Asaph, bajo la dirección de Asaph, el cual profetizaba á la orden del rey.

of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied at the hand of the king.

3 D e Jeduthún: los hijos de Jeduthún, Gedalías, Sesi, Jesaías, Hasabías, y Mathithías, y Simi: seis, bajo la mano de su padre Jeduthún, el cual profetizaba con arpa, para celebrar y alabar á Jehová.

Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hand of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.

4 D e Hemán: los hijos de Hemán, Buccia, Mathanía, Uzziel, Sebuel, Jerimoth, Hananías, Hanani, Eliatha, Gidalthi, Romamti-ezer, Josbecasa, Mallothi, Othir, y Mahazioth.

Of Heman: the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.

5 T odos estos fueron hijos de Hemán, vidente del rey en palabras de Dios, para ensalzar el poder suyo: y dió Dios á Hemán catorce hijos y tres hijas.

All these were the sons of Heman, the king’s seer, in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 Y todos estos estaban bajo la dirección de su padre en la música, en la casa de Jehová, con címbalos, salterios y arpas, para el ministerio del templo de Dios, por disposición del rey acerca de Asaph, de Jeduthún, y de Hemán.

All these were under the direction of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the ministry of the house of God, under the hand of the king, of Asaph, of Jeduthun, and of Heman.

7 Y el número de ellos con sus hermanos instruídos en música de Jehová, todos los aptos, fué doscientos ochenta y ocho.

So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that had understanding, was two hundred eighty-eight.

8 Y echaron suertes para los turnos del servicio, entrando el pequeño con el grande, lo mismo el maestro que el discípulo.

¶ And they cast lots, ward against ward, the small as well as the great, the one with understanding as well as the disciple.

9 Y la primera suerte salió por Asaph, á José: la segunda á Gedalías, quien con sus hermanos é hijos fueron doce;

Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph; the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve;

10 L a tercera á Zachûr, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the third to Zaccur, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

11 L a cuarta á Isri, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the fourth to Izri, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

12 L a quinta á Nethanías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the fifth to Nethaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

13 L a sexta á Buccia, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the sixth to Bukkiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

14 L a séptima á Jesarela, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the seventh to Jesharelah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

15 L a octava á Jesahías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the eighth to Jeshaiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

16 L a nona á Mathanías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the ninth to Mattaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

17 L a décima á Simi, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the tenth to Shimei, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

18 L a undécima á Azareel, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the eleventh to Azareel, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

19 L a duodécima á Hasabías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the twelfth to Hashabiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

20 L a décimatercia á Subael, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the thirteenth to Shubael, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

21 L a décimacuarta á Mathithías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the fourteenth to Mattithiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

22 L a décimaquinta á Jerimoth, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the fifteenth to Jeremoth, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

23 L a décimasexta á Hananías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the sixteenth to Hananiah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

24 L a décimaséptima á Josbecasa, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

25 L a décimaoctava á Hanani, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the eighteenth to Hanani, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

26 L a décimanona á Mallothi, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the nineteenth to Mallothi, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve:

27 L a vigésima á Eliatha, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the twentieth to Eliathah, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

28 L a vigésimaprima á Othir, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the twenty-first to Hothir, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

29 L a vigésimasegunda á Giddalthi, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the twenty-second to Giddalti, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

30 L a vigésimatercia á Mahazioth, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

the twenty-third to Mahazioth, he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

31 L a vigésimacuarta á Romamti-ezer, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce.
