1 H ỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, Ngài đã dò xét tôi, và biết tôi.

¶ O LORD, thou hast searched me and known me.

2 C húa biết khi tôi ngồi, lúc tôi đứng dậy; Từ xa Chúa hiểu biết ý tưởng tôi.

Thou knowest my sitting down and my rising up, thou dost understand my thoughts from afar.

3 C húa xét nét nẻo đàng và sự nằm ngủ tôi, Quen biết các đường lối tôi.

Thou hast girded my walk and my rest, and hast prepared all my ways.

4 V ì lời chưa ở trên lưỡi tôi, Kìa, hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, Ngài đã biết trọn hết rồi.

For the word is not even upon my tongue, and, behold, O LORD, thou dost know it altogether.

5 C húa bao phủ tôi phía sau và phía trước, Đặt tay Chúa trên mình tôi.

Thou hast formed my face and my insides and laid thine hand upon me.

6 S ự tri thức dường ấy, thật diệu kỳ quá cho tôi, Cao đến đổi tôi không với kịp!

Thy knowledge is wonderful beyond my ability to comprehend; it is high, I cannot understand it.

7 T ôi sẽ đi đâu xa Thần Chúa? Tôi sẽ trốn đâu khỏi mặt Chúa?

¶ Where shall I go from thy spirit? or where shall I flee from thy presence?

8 N ếu tôi lên trời, Chúa ở tại đó, Ví tôi nằm dưới âm-phủ, kìa, Chúa cũng có ở đó.

If I ascend to the heavens, thou art there: if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there.

9 N hược bằng tôi lấy cánh hừng đông, Bay qua ở tại cuối cùng biển,

If I take the wings of the dawn and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,

10 T ại đó tay Chúa cũng sẽ dẫn dắt tôi, Tay hữu Chúa sẽ nắm giữ tôi.

even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11 N ếu tôi nói: Sự tối tăm chắc sẽ che khuất tôi, A

If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall shine because of me.

12 T hì chính sự tối tăm không thể giấu chi khỏi Chúa, Ban đêm soi sáng như ban ngày, Và sự tối tăm cũng như ánh sáng cho Chúa.

Even the darkness does not hide from thee; but the night shines as the day; the darkness is as the light.

13 V ì chính Chúa nắn nên tâm thần tôi, Dệt thành tôi trong lòng mẹ tôi.

For thou hast possessed my kidneys: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

14 T ôi cảm tạ Chúa, vì tôi được dựng nên cách đáng sợ lạ lùng. Công việc Chúa thật lạ lùng, lòng tôi biết rõ lắm.

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are thy works, and that, my soul knows right well.

15 K hi tôi được dựng nên trong nơi kín, Chịu nắn nên cách xảo lại nơi thấp của đất, Thì các xương cốt tôi không giấu được Chúa.

My body was not hid from thee, even though I was made in secret and brought together in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 M ắt Chúa đã thấy thể chất vô hình của tôi; Số các ngày định cho tôi, Đã biên vào sổ Chúa trước khi chưa có một ngày trong các ngày ấy.

Thine eyes did see my substance yet being imperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which were then formed, without lacking one of them.

17 H ỡi Đức Chúa Trời, các tư tưởng Chúa quí báu cho tôi thay! Số các tư tưởng ấy thật lớn thay!

¶ Therefore, how precious are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

18 N ếu tôi muốn đếm các tư tưởng ấy, thì nhiều hơn cát. Khi tôi tỉnh thức tôi còn ở cung Chúa.

If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with thee.

19 H ỡi Đức Chúa Trời, Chúa ắt sẽ giết kẻ ác! Hỡi người huyết, hãy đi khỏi ta.

Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God; depart from me therefore, ye bloodthirsty men.

20 C húng nó nói nghịch Chúa cách phớm phỉnh, Kẻ thù nghịch Chúa lấy danh Chúa mà làm chơi.

For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

21 H ỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, tôi há chẳng ghét những kẻ ghét Chúa ư? Há chẳng gớm ghiếc những kẻ dấy nghịch Chúa sao?

Do I not hate all those, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

22 T ôi ghét chúng nó, thật là ghét, Cầm chúng nó bằng kẻ thù nghịch tôi.

I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them mine enemies.

23 Đ ức Chúa Trời ơi, xin hãy tra xét tôi, và biết lòng tôi; Hãy thử thách tôi, và biết tư tưởng tôi;

Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my thoughts

24 X in xem thử tôi có lối ác nào chăng, Xin dắt tôi vào con đường đời đời.

and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way eternal.
