¶ And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

2 T ôi thấy bảy vị thiên sứ đứng trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời, và có người trao cho bảy ống loa.

And I saw the seven angels which stood before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.

3 Đ oạn, một vì thiên sứ khác đến, đứng bên bàn thờ, người cầm lư hương vàng, và được nhiều hương để dâng hương ấy trên bàn thờ bằng vàng ở trước ngôi với các lời cầu nguyện của mọi thánh đồ.

And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense of the prayers of all the saints, that he should offer upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

4 K hói hương từ tay thiên sứ bay lên trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời, với người lời cầu nguyện của các thánh đồ.

And the smoke of the incense of the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

5 T hiên sứ lấy lư hương, dùng lửa nơi bàn thờ bỏ đầy vào, rồi quăng xuống đất; liền có sấm sét, các tiếng, chớp nhoáng và đất động.

And the angel took the censer and filled it with fire of the altar and cast it into the earth; and there were voices and thunderings and lightnings and an earthquake.

6 B ảy vì thiên sứ cầm bảy ống loa bèn sửa soạn thổi.

And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound their trumpets.

7 V ị thứ nhứt thổi loa, thì có mưa đá và lửa pha với huyết bị quăng xuống đất. Một phần ba đất bị cháy, một phần ba loài cây bị cháy, và mọi giống cỏ xanh đều bị cháy.

¶ The first angel sounded the trumpet, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the land; and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

8 V ị thiên sứ thứ nhì thổi loa; bèn có một khối lửa bị ném xuống biển. Một phần ba biển biến ra huyết,

And the second angel sounded the trumpet, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea; and the third part of the sea became blood;

9 m ột phần ba sanh vật trong biển chết hết, và một phần ba tàu bè cũng bị hủy hết.

and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

10 V ị thiên sứ thứ ba thổi loa, thì một ngôi sao lớn ở trên trời rơi xuống, cháy có ngọn như một bó đuốc; ngôi sao ấy rơi vào một phần ba các sông lớn và các suối nước.

And the third angel sounded the trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, burning as a lit torch, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers and upon the fountains of waters;

11 T ên ngôi sao đó là Ngải cứu, một phần ba nước biến ra như mùi ngải cứu, và làm chết mất nhiều người ta, vì đã biến thành ra đắng.

and the name of the star is called Wormwood; and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters because they were made bitter.

12 V ị thiên sứ thứ tư thổi loa, thì một phần ba mặt trời bị hại, một phần ba mặt trăng và một phần ban các ngôi sao cũng vậy, hầu cho một phần ba các vì sáng ấy đều bị tối tăm, và hầu cho ban ngày mất một phần ba sáng, và ban đêm cũng vậy.

And the fourth angel sounded the trumpet, and the third part of the sun was smitten and the third part of the moon and the third part of the stars, in such a manner that the third part of them was darkened, and the third part of the day did not shine, and the night likewise.

13 B ấy giờ tôi nhìn xem, nghe chim phụng hoàng bay giữa trời, kêu tiếng lớn rằng: Khốn thay! Khốn thay! Khốn thay! cho những dân sự trên đất, vì cớ tiếng loa mà ba vị thiên sứ khác còn phải thổi nữa.

And I saw and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, who are yet to sound their trumpets!
