1 Y vino a mí la palabra del Señor en el año noveno, el mes décimo, a los diez días del mes:

¶ Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 “ Hijo de hombre, escribe la fecha del día, del día de hoy. Este mismo día el rey de Babilonia ha avanzado contra Jerusalén.

Son of man, write the name of the day, even of this same day: the king of Babylon laid siege against Jerusalem this same day.

3 R elata una parábola a la casa rebelde y diles: ‘Así dice el Señor Dios: “Pon la olla, pon la, Y echa también en ella agua;

And speak unto the house of rebellion by parable and say unto them, Thus hath the Lord GOD said; Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it:

4 P on en ella los trozos, Todo trozo bueno, pierna y espalda; Lléna la de huesos escogidos.

gather her pieces of meat into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones.

5 T oma lo mejor del rebaño, Y apila también la leña debajo de ella; Hazla hervir a borbotones, Cuece también sus huesos en ella.”

Take the choice of the flock and burn also the bones under it and make it boil well and let them seethe the bones of it therein.

6 ‘ Porque así dice el Señor Dios: “¡Ay de la ciudad sanguinaria, De la olla que tiene herrumbre, Cuya herrumbre no se le va! Trozo por trozo sácala, Sin echar suertes sobre ella.

For thus hath the Lord GOD said: Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein and whose scum is not gone out of it! For her pieces, because of her pieces let it be removed; let no lot fall upon it.

7 P orque su sangre está en medio de ella, La puso sobre la roca desnuda; No la derramó sobre la tierra Para que el polvo la cubriera.

For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she did not poured it upon the ground, to cover it with dust;

8 P ara hacer subir el furor, Para tomar venganza, Yo he puesto su sangre sobre la roca desnuda, Para que no sea cubierta.”

that wrath might rise up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the high place of the rock that it should not be covered.

9 ‘ Por tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: “¡Ay de la ciudad sanguinaria! Yo también haré grande el montón de leña.

Therefore thus hath the Lord GOD said: Woe to the bloody city! I will also make a great fire,

10 A umenta la leña, enciende el fuego, Hierve bien la carne, Mézcla le las especias, Y que se quemen los huesos.

multiplying the wood, kindling the fire, to consume the flesh and to make the broth, and the bones shall be burned;

11 L uego pon la olla vacía sobre las brasas, Para que se caliente, Se ponga al rojo su bronce, Se funda en ella su inmundicia, Y sea consumida su herrumbre.

setting afterward the empty pot upon the coals thereof that it may become red hot and may burn and that the filthiness of it may be molten in it, that the scum of it may be consumed.

12 D e tanto trabajo Me ha fatigado la olla, Y no se le ha ido su mucha herrumbre. ¡ Consúmase en el fuego su herrumbre!

In fraud she has become weary, and her great scum did not go forth out of her; her scum shall be in the fire.

13 E n tu inmundicia hay lujuria. Por cuanto Yo quise limpiarte Pero no te dejaste limpiar, No volverás a ser purificada de tu inmundicia, Hasta que Yo haya saciado Mi furor sobre ti.

In thy perverse filthiness thou shalt die because I have cleansed thee, and thou didst not cleanse thyself from thy uncleanness; thou shalt never cleanse thyself again, until I have caused my fury to rest upon thee.

14 Y o, el Señor, he hablado. Esto viene y Yo actuaré; no Me volveré atrás, no Me apiadaré y no Me arrepentiré. Según tus caminos y según tus obras te juzgaré,” declara el Señor Dios.’” Muerte de la Mujer de Ezequiel

I, the LORD, have spoken: I came and worked. I will not turn back, neither will I have mercy, neither will I repent; according to thy ways and according to thy doings, they shall judge thee, said the Lord GOD.

15 Y vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

¶ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

16 “ Hijo de hombre, voy a quitarte de golpe el encanto de tus ojos; pero no te lamentarás, ni llorarás, ni correrán tus lágrimas.

Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes by death; yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall thy tears run down.

17 G ime en silencio, no hagas duelo por los muertos; átate el turbante, ponte el calzado en los pies y no te cubras los bigotes ni comas pan de duelo.”

Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind thy turban upon thy head, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet and do not cover thy lips and do not eat the bread of comfort.

18 H ablé al pueblo por la mañana, y por la tarde murió mi mujer; y a la mañana siguiente hice como me fue mandado.

So I spoke unto the people in the morning; and at even my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.

19 Y el pueblo me dijo: “¿No nos declararás lo que significan para nosotros estas cosas que estás haciendo?”

And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things are to us, that thou doest so?

20 E ntonces les respondí: “La palabra del Señor vino a mí, y me dijo:

Then I answered them, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

21 H abla a la casa de Israel: “Así dice el Señor Dios: ‘Voy a profanar Mi santuario, que para ustedes es orgullo de su fuerza, encanto de sus ojos y deleite de su alma. Sus hijos y sus hijas que ustedes han dejado detrás, caerán a espada.

Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the glory of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and the gift of your soul; your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.

22 H arán como Yo he hecho; no cubrirán sus bigotes ni comerán pan de duelo.

And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips nor eat the bread of men.

23 S us turbantes estarán sobre sus cabezas y su calzado en sus pies. No se lamentarán ni llorarán, sino que se pudrirán en sus iniquidades y gemirán unos con otros.

And your turbans shall be upon your heads and your shoes upon your feet: ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shall pine away for your iniquities and cry out one with another.

24 E zequiel, pues, les servirá de señal; según todo lo que él ha hecho, ustedes harán; cuando esto suceda, sabrán que Yo soy el Señor Dios.’”

Thus Ezekiel shall be unto you for a sign: according to all that he has done ye shall do: and when this comes, ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

25 Y tú, hijo de hombre, ¿no será que el día en que les quite su fortaleza, el gozo de su gloria, el encanto de sus ojos, el anhelo de su alma, y a sus hijos y a sus hijas,

Also, thou son of man, in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and the care of their souls, their sons and their daughters,

26 e n ese día el que escape vendrá a ti con noticias para tus oídos?

that day one that escapes shall come unto thee, to bring the news.

27 E n ese día se abrirá tu boca para el que escapó, y hablarás y dejarás de estar mudo. Y servirás para ellos de señal, y sabrán que Yo soy el Señor.’”

In that day thy mouth shall be opened to speak unto him who is escaped, and thou shalt speak, and no longer be dumb: and thou shalt be a sign unto them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
