1 ( Ein Psalm Davids, des Knechtes des HERRN, vorzusingen.) Es ist aus Grund meines Herzens von der Gottlosen Wesen gesprochen, daß keine Gottesfurcht bei ihnen ist.

¶ The rebellion of the wicked saith to my heart that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

2 S ie schmücken sich untereinander selbst, daß sie ihre böse Sache fördern und andere verunglimpfem.

For he flatters himself in his own eyes until his iniquity is found to be hateful.

3 A lle ihre Worte sind schädlich und erlogen; sie lassen sich auch nicht weisen, daß sie Gutes täten;

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit; he has left off to be wise and to do good.

4 s ondern sie trachten auf ihrem Lager nach Schaden und stehen fest auf dem bösen Weg und scheuen kein Arges.

He devises iniquity upon his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not abhor evil.

5 H ERR, deine Güte reicht, soweit der Himmel ist, und deine Wahrheit, soweit die Wolken gehen.

¶ Thy mercy, O LORD, reaches unto the heavens, and thy truth reaches unto the clouds.

6 D eine Gerechtigkeit steht wie die Berge Gottes und dein Recht wie eine große Tiefe. HERR, du hilfst Menschen und Vieh.

Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy judgments are a great deep; O LORD, thou dost preserve man and beast.

7 W ie teuer ist deine Güte, Gott, daß Menschenkinder unter dem Schatten deiner Flügel Zuflucht haben!

How excellent is thy mercy, O God! therefore the sons of Adam cover themselves in the shadow of thy wings.

8 S ie werden trunken von den reichen Gütern deines Hauses, und du tränkest sie mit Wonne als mit einem Strom.

They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house, and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

9 D enn bei dir ist die Quelle des Lebens, und in deinem Licht sehen wir das Licht.

For with thee is the fountain of life; in thy light shall we see light.

10 B reite deine Güte über die, die dich kennen, und deine Gerechtigkeit über die Frommen.

Extend thy mercy unto those that know thee and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

11 L aß mich nicht von den Stolzen untertreten werden, und die Hand der Gottlosen stürze mich nicht;

Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

12 s ondern laß sie, die Übeltäter, daselbst fallen, daß sie verstoßen werden und nicht bleiben mögen.

There are the workers of iniquity fallen; they are cast down and shall not be able to rise.
