1 P or Jozueu ishte plak dhe në moshë të shtyrë; dhe Zoti i tha: "Ti je plak dhe i shtyrë në moshë, dhe të mbetet një pjesë shumë e madhe e vendit për të pushtuar.

¶ Now when Joshua was old and advanced in years, the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.

2 K y është vendi që mbetet akoma: tërë territori i Filistejve dhe gjithë ai i Geshuritëve,

This is the land that yet remains: all the borders of the Philistines and all Geshuri

3 n ga Shikori që rrjedh në lindje të Egjiptit, deri në kufirin e Ekronit nga veriu (krahinë që konsiderohet kananease), tokat e pesë princave të Filistejve, domethënë të Gazës, të Ashdodit, të Ashkalonit, të Gathit, të Ekronit dhe të Avejve gjithashtu,

from the Nile, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted among the Canaanites; five cardinals of the Philistines; the Gazathites and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites, also the Avites;

4 n ë jug, tërë vendi i Kananejve, dhe Mearahu që u përket Sidonëve deri në Afek, deri në kufirin e Amorejve;

towards the Negev all the land of the Canaanites and Mearah that is beside those of Sidon unto Aphek to the border of the Amorite;

5 v endi i Giblitëve dhe tërë Libani në drejtim të lindjes, nga Baal-Gadi në këmbët e malit Hermon deri në hyrje të Hamathit;

and the land of the Giblites and all Lebanon toward the sunrising, from Baalgad at the root of Mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.

6 t ërë banorët e krahinës malore të Libanit deri në ujërat e Misrefothit, dhe gjithë Sidonët. Unë do t’i dëboj para bijve të Izraelit; ti ndërkaq ndaje me short vendin midis Izraelitëve si trashëgimi, ashtu si të kam urdhëruar.

All the inhabitants of the mountains from Lebanon unto the hot springs and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the sons of Israel; only thou shalt divide the country by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

7 N daje, pra, këtë vend si trashëgimi midis nëntë fiseve dhe gjysmës së fisit të Manasit".

¶ Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes and the half tribe of Manasseh,

8 R ubenitët dhe Gaditët, bashkë me gjysmën e fisit tjetër, kanë marrë trashëgiminë e tyre, që Moisiu u dha atyre matanë Jordanit, në lindje, ashtu siç ua kishte dhënë Moisiu, shërbëtor i Zotit;

for the other half received their inheritance with the Reubenites and the Gadites, which Moses gave them of the other side of the Jordan eastward, according as Moses the slave of the LORD gave them;

9 n ga Aroeri që ndodhet në brigjet e përroit Arnon dhe nga qyteti që është në mes të luginës, tërë rrafshnaltën e Medebas deri në Dibon;

from Aroer, that is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon;

10 t ërë qytetet e Sihonit, mbretit të Amorejve, që mbretëronte në Heshbon, deri në kufirin e bijve të Amonit;

and all the cities of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, unto the borders of the sons of Ammon;

11 G alaadin, territorin e Geshuritëve dhe të Maakathitëve, tërë malin Hermon dhe tërë Bashanin deri në Salkah;

and Gilead and the borders of the Geshur and Maachath and all Mount Hermon and all Bashan unto Salcah;

12 t ërë mbretërinë e Ogut, në Bashan, që mbretëronte në Ashtaroth dhe në Edrei dhe ishte i vetmi gjigant i mbetur gjallë. Në fakt Moisiu i kishte mundur dhe dëbuar.

all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the Rephaim, for these did Moses smite and cast them out of the land.

13 P or bijtë e Izraelit nuk i përzunë Geshuritët dhe Maakathitët; kjo është arësyeja pse Geshuritët dhe Maakathitët banojnë në mes të Izraelit deri në ditët e sotme.

Nevertheless, the sons of Israel did not expel those of Geshur and Maachath, but Geshur and Maachath dwell among the Israelites until this day.

14 V etëm fisit të Levit, Moisiu nuk i kishte dhënë asnjë trashëgimi; flijimet e bëra me zjarr për nder të Zotit, Perëndisë së Izraelit, përfaqësonin trashëgiminë e tij, ashtu si u kishte thënë ai.

But unto the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance; the sacrifices on fire of the LORD God of Israel are their inheritance, as he said unto them.

15 K ështu Moisiu i kishte dhënë fisit të bijve të Rubenit pjesën që u përkiste, simbas familjeve të tyre;

And Moses gave unto the tribe of the sons of Reuben according to their families,

16 t erritori i tyre niste nga Aroeri që ndodhet mbi brigjet e përroit Arnon dhe nga qyteti që gjendet në mes të luginës, tërë rrafshnalta pranë Medebës,

and their border was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river and all the plain until Medeba,

17 H eshboni dhe tërë qytetet e tij që ndodhen në rrafshnaltën: Diboni, Bamoth-Baali, Beth-Baal-Meoni,

Heshbon and all her cities that are in the plain, Dibon, and Bamothbaal and Bethbaalmeon,

18 J ahtsahu, Kedemothi, Mefaathi,

and Jahazah and Kedemoth and Mephaath,

19 K irjathaimi, Sibmahu, Tsereth-Hashahari mbi malin e luginës,

and Kirjathaim and Sibmah and Zarethshahar in the mount of the valley,

20 B eth-Peori, shpatet e Pisgahut dhe Beth-Jeshimothi;

and Bethpeor and Ashdothpisgah and Bethjeshimoth,

21 t ë gjitha qytetet e rrafshnaltës dhe tërë mbretëria e Sihonit, mbretit të Amorejve që mbretëronte në Heshbon, të cilin Moisiu e mundi me princat e Madianit: Evi, Rekem, Tsur, Hur dhe Reba, princa vasalë të Sihonit, që banonin në atë vend.

and all the cities of the plain and all the kingdom of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur and Hur and Reba, who were princes of Sihon, dwelling in the country.

22 B ijtë e Izraelit vranë gjithashtu me shpatë Balaamin, birin e Beorit, shortarin, bashkë me të tjerët që u vranë në radhët e Madianitëve.

Balaam also, the son of Beor, the diviner, did the sons of Israel slay with the sword among those that were slain by them.

23 T erritori i bijve të Rubenit kufizohej me Jordanin. Kjo ishte trashëgimia e bijve të Rubenit në bazë të familjeve të tyre, së bashku me qytetet dhe fshatrat e tyre.

And the border of the sons of Reuben was the Jordan and the border thereof. This was the inheritance of the sons of Reuben according to their families, these cities with their villages.

24 M oisiu i kishte dhënë gjithashtu fisit të Gadit, bijve të Gadit, pjesën e tyre, simbas familjeve të tyre.

Moses likewise gave unto the tribe of Gad, to the sons of Gad according to their families.

25 T erritori i tyre përfshinte Jazerin, të gjitha qytetet e Galaadit, gjysmën e vendit të bijve të Amonit deri në Aroer, që ngrihet përballë Rabahut,

And their border was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead and half of the land of the sons of Ammon, unto Aroer that is before Rabbah,

26 d he nga Heshboni deri në Ramath-Mitspah dhe Betonim, dhe nga Mahanaimi deri në kufirin e Debirit,

and from Heshbon unto Ramathmizpeh, and Betonim, and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir,

27 d he në luginë, Beth-Harami, Beth-Nimrahi, Sukothi dhe Tsafoni, pjesa që mbeti nga mbretëria e Sihonit, mbretit të Heshbonit, që ka Jordanin për kufi, deri në skajin e Detit të Kinerethit, matanë Jordanit, në drejtim të lindjes.

and the valley of Betharam and Bethnimrah and Succoth and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon, king of Heshbon, the Jordan and its border, even unto the edge of the sea of Chinnereth on the other side of the Jordan eastward.

28 K jo qe trashëgimia e bijve të Gadit, simbas familjeve të tyre, me qytetet dhe fshatrat e tyre.

This is the inheritance of the sons of Gad according to their families, these cities with their villages.

29 M oisiu i kishte dhënë gjithashtu gjysmës së fisit të Manasit, bijve të Manasit, pjesën e tyre, simbas familjeve të tyre.

And Moses also gave unto the half tribe of Manasseh, and it belonged to the half tribe of the sons of Manasseh according to their families.

30 T erritori i tyre përfshinte Mahanaimin, tërë Bashanin, tërë mbretërinë e Ogut, mbretit të Bashanit, tërë fshatrat e Jairit që ndodhen në Bashan, gjithsej shtatëdhjetë qytete.

Their border was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities.

31 G jysma e Galaadit, Ashtarothit dhe Edreit, qytete të mbretërisë së Ogut në Bashan, kaluan në dorë të bijve të Makirit, birit të Manasit, simbas familjeve të tyre.

And half of Gilead and Ashtaroth and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were given to the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, even to one half of the sons of Machir, according to their families.

32 K ëto janë pjesët që Moisiu u kishte ndarë si trashëgimi në fushat e Moabit, matanë Jordanit, në bregun përballë Jerikos, në lindje.

This is what Moses distributed in inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side of the Jordan of Jericho, eastward.

33 P or fisit të Levit Moisiu nuk i la asnjë trashëgimi; Zoti, Perëndia i Izraelit, ishte trashëgimia e tij, ashtu siç u kishte thënë ai vetë.

But to the tribe of Levi Moses did not give any inheritance; the LORD God of Israel is their inheritance, as he said unto them.
