1 E lihu nisi përsëri të flasë dhe tha:

¶ Furthermore, Elihu answered and said,

2 " Dëgjoni, o njerëz të urtë, fjalët e mia, dhe ju, njerëz të ditur, ma vini veshin!

Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

3 S epse veshi i shqyrton fjalët, ashtu si qiellza i shijon ushqimet.

For the ear tries words, as the mouth tastes food.

4 L e të zgjedhim ne vetë atë që është e drejtë të pranojmë midis nesh atë që është e mirë.

Let us choose our judgment; let us know among ourselves what is good.

5 S epse Jobi ka thënë: "Jam i drejtë, por Perëndia më ka hequr drejtësinë time.

For Job has said, I am righteous; and God has taken away my right.

6 A duhet të gënjej kundër drejtësisë sime? Plaga ime është e pashërueshme, megjithëse jam pa mëkat".

In my judgment he was a liar, my arrow wound is grievous without my having committed a transgression.

7 K ush është si Jobi, që e pi përqeshjen si ujin,

What man is like Job, who drinks up the scorn like water?

8 q ë ecën bashkë me keqbërësit dhe shkon bashkë me njerëzit e këqij?

Who goes in company with the workers of iniquity, and walks with wicked men.

9 S epse ka thënë: "Nuk i vlen fare njeriut të vendosë kënaqësinë e tij te Perëndia".

For he said, It shall profit a man nothing that he should conform his will with God.

10 M ë dëgjoni, pra, o njerëz me mend! Qoftë larg Perëndisë paudhësia dhe ligësia qoftë larg të Plotfuqishmit!

¶ Therefore, hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

11 S epse ai ia kthen njeriut sipas veprave të tij dhe secilin e bën të gjejë shpërblimin për sjelljen e tij.

For he shall pay man according to his work and cause every man to find according to his ways.

12 S igurisht Perëndia nuk kryen të keqen dhe i Plotfuqishmi nuk shtrembëron drejtësinë.

Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.

13 K ush i ka besuar kujdesin për tokën, ose kush e ka vendosur mbi tërë botën?

Who visited the earth for him? And who set the whole world in order?

14 N ë qoftë se Perëndia duhet të vendoste në zemër të vet të tërhiqte mbi vete Frymën e tij dhe frymën e tij,

If he were to set his heart upon man and gather unto himself his spirit and his breath,

15 ç do mish do të shkatërrohej njëkohësisht, dhe njeriu do të kthehej në pluhur.

all flesh would perish together, and man would turn again unto dust.

16 N ë qoftë se ke mend, dëgjoje këtë, vër veshin për të dëgjuar atë që po të them.

¶ If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

17 A mund të qeverisë ai që urren drejtësinë? A guxon ti të dënosh të Drejtin, të Fuqishmin?

Shall even he that hates judgment govern? And wilt thou condemn the Mighty One that is righteous?

18 A i që i thotë një mbreti: "Je për t’u përbuzur" dhe princave: "Jeni të këqij".

Is it fit to say to the king, Thou art of Belial and to the princes, Ye are ungodly?

19 P or ai nuk bën asnjë anësi me të mëdhenjtë dhe as e konsideron të pasurin më tepër se të varfrin, sepse të gjithë janë vepra e duarve të tij.

How much less to him who is not a respecter of the persons of princes, nor respects the rich more than the poor; for they all are the work of his hands.

20 N ë një çast ata vdesin; në mesin e natës njerëzia tronditet dhe zhduket, të fuqishmit çohen tutje pa dorë njeriu.

In a moment they shall die, and the peoples shall be troubled at midnight and shall pass away; and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.

21 S epse ai i mban sytë te rrugët e njeriut, dhe shikon tërë hapat e tij.

For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he sees all his steps.

22 N uk ka terr as hije vdekjeje, ku mund të fshihen njerëzit e këqij.

There is no darkness nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

23 N ë fakt Perëndia nuk ka nevojë ta kqyrë gjatë një njeri para se ta nxjerrë për gjykim para tij.

For he will not lay upon man more than that which is just; that he should enter into judgment with God.

24 A i i ligështon të fuqishmit pa bërë hetim dhe vë të tjerë në vendin e tyre.

He shall break in pieces mighty men without number and set others in their stead.

25 D uke qenë se i njeh veprat e tyre, i rrëzon natën dhe ata shkatërrohen;

Therefore, he shall cause their works to be notorious, when he shall overturn them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

26 i godet si njerëz të këqij para syve të të gjithëve,

He shall strike them as wicked men in the open sight of others

27 s epse janë larguar nga ai pa u kujdesur për rrugët e tij,

because thus they turned back from him and would not consider any of his ways

28 d eri sa të arrijë tek ai britma e të varfrit, sepse ai dëgjon britmën e të pikëlluarve.

so that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he hears the cry of the afflicted.

29 K ur Perëndia jep qetësinë, kush do ta dënojë? Kur fsheh fytyrën e tij, kush do të mund ta shikojë, qoftë kundër një kombi të tërë ose kundër një njeriu të vetëm,

When he gives rest, who then can make trouble? If he hides his face, who then can behold him? This applies to a nation and the same to a man,

30 p ër të penguar që i pabesi të mbretërojë dhe që populli të zihet ndër leqe?

that the hypocrite not reign, lest the people be ensnared.

31 D ikush mund t’i thotë Perëndisë: "Unë e mbart fajin tim, po nuk do ta bëj më të keqen;

¶ For it is of God to say, I have forgiven, I will no longer destroy.

32 t regomë atë që nuk arrij të shikoj; në rast se kam kryer ndonjë paudhësi, nuk do ta bëj më"?

Teach me that which I do not see; if I have done iniquity, I will do it no more.

33 A duhet të të shpërblejë ai në bazë të konditave të tua, sepse ti nuk pranon gjykimin e tij? Ti duhet të zgjedhësh dhe jo unë; prandaj thuaj atë që di.

Will he, perchance finish his work by thee; whether thou refuse or whether thou choose, or by me? Speak what thou knowest.

34 N jerëzit me mend; si çdo njeri i urtë që më dëgjon, do të më thonë:

The men of understanding will say as I say, and the wise man will hearken unto me.

35 " Jobi flet pa mend, fjalët e tij nuk kanë dituri".

Job has spoken without knowledge, and his words were without prudence.

36 L e të provohet Jobi deri në fund, sepse përgjigjet e tij janë si ato të njerëzve të këqij,

My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end, that there may be answers against wicked men.

37 s epse i shton mëkatit të tij revoltën, rreh duart mes nesh dhe i shumëzon fjalët e tij kundër Perëndisë".

For he added rebellion unto his sin, he claps his hands among us and multiplies his words against God.
