1 A tëherë Moisiu dhe pleqtë e Izraelit i dhanë popullit këtë urdhër: Respektoni të gjitha urdhërimet që po ju caktoj sot..

¶ And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.

2 D itën që do të kapërceni Jordanin për të hyrë në vendin që Zoti, Perëndia juaj, ju jep, do të ngresh për vete gurë të mëdhenj dhe do t’i lyesh me gëlqere.

And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass the Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God gives thee that thou shalt set thee up great stones and plaster them with plaster;

3 P astaj do të shkruash mbi ta tërë fjalët e këtij ligji, kur të kapërcesh Jordanin për të hyrë në vendin që Zoti, Perëndia yt, të jep, një vend ku rrjedh qumësht dhe mjaltë, ashtu si të ka thënë Zoti, Perëndia i etërve të tu.

And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law when thou has passed to enter in unto the land which the LORD thy God gives thee, a land that flows with milk and honey, as the LORD God of thy fathers has said unto thee.

4 K ështu, pra, kur të kaloni Jordanin, do të ngrini në malin Ebal këta gurë, që sot ju urdhëroj, dhe do t’i lyeni me gëlqere.

Therefore, it shall be when ye have passed the Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in Mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaster them with plaster.

5 A ty do t’i ngresh edhe një altar Zotit, Perëndisë tënd, një altar gurësh, mbi të cilët nuk do të përdorësh vegël hekuri.

And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones; thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.

6 D o të ndërtosh altarin e Zotit, Perëndisë tënd, me gurë të pacënuar, dhe mbi të do t’i ofrosh olokauste Zotit, Perëndisë tënd.

Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones, and thou shalt offer burnt offerings upon it unto the LORD thy God;

7 D o të ofrosh flijime falenderimi, dhe aty do të hash dhe do të gëzohesh përpara Zotit, Perëndisë tënd.

and thou shalt offer peace offerings and shalt eat there and rejoice before the LORD thy God.

8 D he do të shkruash mbi këta gurë tërë fjalët e këtij ligji me gërma shumë të qarta".

And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.

9 P astaj Moisiu dhe priftërinjtë levitë i folën tërë Izraelit, duke thënë: Mbaj qetësi dhe dëgjo, o Izrael! Sot je bërë populli i Zotit, Perëndisëë tënd.

And Moses with the priests the Levites spoke unto all Israel, saying, Take heed and hearken, O Israel; today thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.

10 D o t’i bindesh, pra, zërit të Zotit, Perëndisë tënd, dhe do t’i zbatosh në praktikë urdhërimet dhe ligjet që sot të urdhëroj".

Thou shalt, therefore, hear the voice of the LORD thy God and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

11 P o atë ditë Moisiu i dha këtë urdhër popullit, duke i thënë:

¶ And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,

12 " Ja ata do të rrijnë në malin Gerizim për të bekuar popullin kur të keni kapërcyer Jordanin: Simeoni, Levi, Juda, Isakari, Jozefi dhe Beniamini;

These shall stand upon Mount Gerizim to bless the people when ye have passed the Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin.

13 d he ja ata që do të rrijnë në malin Ebal për të shqiptuar mallkimin: Rubeni, Gadi, Asheri, Zabuloni, Dani dhe Neftali.

And these shall stand upon Mount Ebal to pronounce the curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.

14 L evitët do të flasin dhe do t’u thonë me zë të lartë gjithë burrave të Izraelit:

And the Levites shall speak and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice:

15 " Mallkuar qoftë ai njeri që bën një shëmbëlltyrë të gdhendur o prej metali të shkrirë, gjë e neveritshme për Zotin, vepër e duarve të një artizani, dhe e vendos në një vend sekret!". Dhe tërë populli do të përgjigjet dhe do të thotë: "Amen".

Cursed is the man that makes any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and puts it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

16 " Mallkuar qoftë ai që përçmon atin ose nënën e tij!". Dhe tërë populli do të thotë: "Amen".

Cursed is he that dishonours his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

17 " Mallkuar qoftë ai që zhvendos kufijtë e të afërmit të tij!". Dhe tërë populli do të thotë: "Amen".

Cursed is he that reduces his neighbour’s border. And all the people shall say, Amen.

18 " Mallkuar qoftë ai që i humb rrugën të verbërit!". Dhe tërë populli do të thotë: "Amen".

Cursed is he that makes the blind to err in the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.

19 " Mallkuar qoftë ai që cënon të drejtën e të huajit, të jetimit dhe të gruas së ve!". Dhe tërë populli do të thotë: "Amen".

Cursed is he that twists the rights of the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

20 " Mallkuar qoftë ai që bie në shtrat me gruan e atit të tij,; sepse ka ngritur cepin e mbulesës së atit të tij!". Dhe tërë populli do të thotë: Amenn".

Cursed is he that lies with his father’s wife because he uncovers his father’s skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.

21 " Mallkuar qoftë ai që bie në shtrat me çfarëdo kafshë!". Dhe tërë populli do të thotë: "Amen".

Cursed is he that lies with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.

22 " Mallkuar qoftë ai që bie në shtrat me motrën e tij, me bijën e atit të tij ose me bijën e nënes së tij!". Dhe tërë populli do të thotë: "Amen".

Cursed is he that lies with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

23 " Mallkuar qoftë ai që bie në shtrat me vjehrrën e tij!". Dhe tërë populli do të thotë: "Amen".

Cursed is he that lies with his mother-in-law. And all the people shall say, Amen.

24 " Mallkuar qoftë ai që vret të afërmin e tij në mënyrë të fshehtë!". Dhe tërë populli do të thotë: "Amen".

Cursed is he that smites his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.

25 " Mallkuar qoftë ai që pranon një dhuratë për të goditur për vdekje një të pafajshëm!". Dhe tërë populli do të thotë: "Amen".

Cursed is he that takes a bribe to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

26 " Mallkuar qoftë ai që nuk u përmbahet fjalëve të këtij ligji për t’i zbatuar në praktikë!". Tërë populli do të thotë: "Amen".

Cursed is he that does not confirm all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
